I get what Chris is saying with not having a passion and having a kid. I don't know if I had a "passion" I was always just kind of a workaholic and always poured all of myself into my job. But after I had my daughter I quickly realized I was doing that kind of as a default. In the absense of passion I was using my profession as my identity. But now I'm so wrapped up in my family that it has changed my life.

Love you guys & you do give good advice!! I used to work at a hospital doing the night shift for years & I didn’t want to do much it really stuffed with my body clock & even after I changed shifts it took years for me to fully realign with my rhythms so it was a lot. I totally relate to this guy. Oh & to the cutie in the blue t who’s mum is being mean to his step dad can call me anytime to discuss his thoughts & feelings with me 😁I live to give

To the guy asking for advice about buying a house, as a mortgage broker I would encourage you to buy now if the monthly payment is comfortable for you. Trying to wait out the market is almost impossible to predict. It house prices continue to go up, you will wish that you bought sooner than later to take a change of the extra equity. But don’t stress about whether or not it’s a good time to buy. If the numbers make sense for you, go for it
I work in retail and actually relate A LOT to that first question. all I'm going to say is keep cool and try to stay professional I know that's a lot easier said than done but reciprocating only ignites that type of attitude And then some people before they leave the house remember The altercation they had with you and will just assume that's how the days going to go then it's a rinse and repeat cycle 🙄

I have the exact same thing with my mom and step dad about 40 min in and it’s not that she says anything super hurtful it’s just when she’s worked up she can take it out on me, my sister or stepdad and be unnecessarily mean and growing up with it I know it’s usually not me she’s mad at (even if it sounds like it(and for a bit it was me lol)) and most of the time been able to laugh it off or not worry about it and just let her blow her steam but I worry my stepdad doesn’t get that or isn’t okay with it the same way cause he’s a great guy and my mom truly is an amazing woman! I’m highlighting her one flaw here and I know she loves him so in short regardless of whatever advice given is good or not it’s still nice just to air these things out (usually with my sister) and now with this awesome podcast, love the show!

Finding a life passion dude: Also, reword/reframe the word 'passion' (e.g. interests, happy place/thing, how I enjoy myself/time).
Or, become more in the moment and expressive as well as grateful when you do your current hobbies that you wouldn't currently call passions, it may make you have more love/appreciation/joy and perhaps convince you that you have a passion.
Or, accept you have a limited range of feeling content or whatever and don't assign to having or needing 'a passion', let the issue of it go and just do you.
