For the guy going off to college and worried about his best friend, my advice would be to just keep in touch through text messaging or calling as much as you can. I live halfway across the country from my best friend but we chat on google all day everyday while wer'e working. When we do have a chance to see each other, it's like no time has gone by because we're already caught up on each other's lives! We are both introverts as well. Best friends for life! Xoxo

I think medications are a much more serious & intricate subject than that. Ive had medication help me significantly, but I also had been with my gf for 3 years when she started taking an anti-depressant that severally distorted her psychology. I saw her change as a person. She lost her sex drive completely. We'd go months without sex & even then, she only did it for me.. She lost all joy in sex. It cured her depression but made her numb to everything. She felt no emotion. She kept our children at arms length & that hurt them. Even doctors make mistakes & medications can have different affects on each individual. She got off the meds & is back to her normal self, with some lasting side effects. Some depression is momentary & can be resolved with therapy, natural remodies, or dietary alterations. Just be careful.
