Sorry for the second comment but after watching the cleaning I wonder if your shooting to high of velocity and the barrel is getting leaded very quickly.?

Yeah even the Daisy HPs start to spiral that far out at that speed but, they are more than minute of squirrel and starling and just destroy tissue so well anchoring whatever they hit on the spot. Daisy’s expand quicker due to softer lead and have a better chance of not passing thru causing damage to walls and roofs. Both are great hunting and pesting pellets. I send both a little slower down range and the groups will tighten up. 750-850 fps for best accuracy.

    Screaming FPS A+👍🏻✌️

Didn’t realise BRK were building shot guns 😂😂
I think it’s the speed. If you think about .22 rim fire they use a wax coating on the ammunition that runs around the same speed as your pushing the pellets and the faster rim fire uses the copper washed coating specifically to keep lead fouling down.
I think you just stumbled upon a potential problem that can happen with the extra speed - lots of lead.
Outfit would look better with some better scope mounts imo but if you’re comfortable with it stuck that high that’s ok.
Interesting video as usual thanks very much.

Please try some H&N Terminators. No they don’t have a high BC BUT they hit like a tank! Terminators and Daisy 15.4 grain HPs smash or explode sparrows and starlings when sent at 900+FPS and the “POP” is just criminal 💦😂😉 I have taken game out to 70 yards with them and it only takes 1 shot.

Very interesting video #AimSmall #Gert , Everyone seems to insist pellets must be 850 to 950 fps. Try Polymags, H&N Baracuda Hunters & Hunter Extremes. I realise there may be a difference as I'm in .25 but I am getting sub moa ay 1030fps 50m with the Baracudas & the poly mags are sub moa at every speed my FX Wildcat power wheel is set at up to 1100fps. (700mm, superior barrel)

Never had good results with copper coated pellets. Suspect your barrel wanted a deep clean....

Your pellets are shooting all over the place because you have incorrect regulator and hammer spring settings--you are just wasting pellets with your Ghost's current state of tune. Tune your airflow so that the valve, when struck, stays open until the pellet completely exits the muzzle. The way to determine that is that when tuning (obviously with a chronograph) you would increase your Ghost's hammer spring tension until the velocity no longer increases. If at that stage the velocity is still lower than desired, then that's when you increase/decrease the plenum pressure and start again. Keep in mind that the correct settings for one pellet will not necessarily work for another pellet, especially if such pellet's weight is lighter or heavier, so you would need to retune for another pellet to shoot accurately.
So, choose your desired speed then do the above-mentioned. Good luck.

WIsh I could, the Ghost is on Minimum setting, the heavy hammer spring can't be adjusted any slower, min to max setting on the hammer spring has exactly the same FPS... TO achieve what you are suggesting would mean a lighter hammer spring incertion, the gun is standard from the factory, claims to provide a power setting from 35fpe to 65 fpe... not factually correct, the only way to get the lower power is to drop the regulator pressure, and then the heavy hammer spring gives you the results you see in the video. You are correct, the balance between hammer pressure and regulator isn't correct, but there is nothing I can do about it. The lighter hammer springs aren't available in my country yet.

@@AimSmall I don't understand why you are saying you need a weaker hammer spring. You need to increase the hammer spring tension with the current spring--starting from minimum tension--while observing the velocity each setting produces until the velocity remains stable and no longer climbs, which is a telltale that the valve is open upon exit of the pellet from the barrel. The reason this is necessary is primarily the choked area on the barrel, which can affect the trajectory of the pellet once the pellet crosses it. This is why there should be a continuous stream of air until complete exit of the pellet. Notice that in your first video of your Ghost the group was basically one-hole when your power wheel was at max. That was the result of striking the valve and keeping it open so that the stream of air would guide the pellet out--especially in the choke region-- until it completely exited the barrel, thus, pinpoint accuracy.

@@DJSpinj The current hammer spring hits the valve too hard, keeping the air flow open for too long.

Rabbit magnums arent accurate, beasts want close to 1000fps to be at theor best

    • @ravenshield7823

Agreed, they are basically a slug with high sectional density, so a much faster twist rate is needed on top of the fact that they aren't accurate to begin with. Just meant for short range impact.
