Optimal speed for 15gr pellets

In my last video I was sending the 18gr pellets at 1030fps, but they were very unstable in the wind, today I am trying to determine the optimal speed for the 15,89gr pellets in my BRK Ghost High Power 5.5mm.

Another one of your informative tests, Gert….everyone has their favorites and recommendations for you to try, but once again you’ve shown the JSB 15.89 grain works very well between 880 and 925 fps, and it will tightly group in almost any rifle. When you do the 18.13 grain test, you will again show that JSB has figured out how to make an accurate pellet that just works in just about anything.

The Terminators and Daisy HPs tend to be happier in the 900 FPS and slower in my barrels. Man do they put the smack down on pest birds. Such a loud “POP” and not much left for the kitties.😂

Through a bullbarrel with absolutely no flex or vibration all diabolo pellets are at their most accurate from 885 to 915fps. Different PCPs thoigh have different barrel "frequencies" which affect accuracy.

Hi Gert ek benodig jou hulp , het n 2de handse fx crown mk2 met 700mm superior heavy slug liner 1 in 16 twist rate, duel port ens. Watter gewig slugs stel jy voor min en max gewig

I would start lower at 800 FPS and work my way up using the power wheel as well as increasing the regulator pressure 🙂👍 And I always test at 50 M to start with 🎯🙂

Unfortunately going down to 75 bar renders the power wheel obsoleet, it produces the same power from Min to Max, the hammer spring is too heavy. Only at about 150 bar do I get Min to about power 14 , anything higher than that will produce the same speed again... it maxes out at 14.

Gert, try some JTS dead center precision .22’s in 16.08 gr. they are accurate!!!

Ek het eers gesukkel omrede ek my geweer se spoed onder 900 fps met 18gr wou hou want dit is wat baie sê waar pellets die gelukkigste is. Ek kon net nie konstante presiesie kry nie. Toe ek die spoed opstoot na 930 fps is die groepe baie meer konstant. So die norm van laer spoed is nie altyd die beste nie. Lyk my pellet presiesie is baie meer ingewikkeld as nitro gewere se koeëls.

Ek het ook gedog 930fps is te vinnig, maar die Ghost het dit met gemak gedoen, waar ek wel mee sukkel is daai spoed as jy wind vanaf die kant kry, dis al asof selfs 'n ligte briesie die ding opvoeter.

Nice video, try to 770fps or 800 on 15gr will see more accurate results.. 870 and 900 fps go to 16.89gr or 18gr pellets..
