    I also have a BRK Ghost HP in 22cal and had just about the exact same results as you. No slug shot well at all and by far the best pellet in my gun was the JSB Redesigned shallow at 922Ffps.

    It’s amazing how small changes make such a difference but at least you can easily match the speed to a Pellet or slug

      I am still postin videos... moreto follow. Shot at 100m last week , sub MOA grouping with 18gr pellets... The groupings are getting tighter as the barrel is being shot in. I am able to repeat day 1 results easily. But shooting the perfect 5 shot group... that is any shooters dream to repeat. lol.

    Well, that explains everything. I didn't even know they made a 1:30 twist. My friends is a 1:17.7. I mean for me, that's a Redesign and 21 barracuda match when I'm feeling conservative type barrel. with a lot of power to spare. Just out of curiosity I put a 1:30 twist rate into my Strelok pro app, only altering the twist rate for the 20.2 NSA slug profile I have for my Evol which is about 930 fps and it gave me a Gyroscopic stability factor of only 0.74. you need at least a factor of 1 to be stable and most of my profiles for slugs that work great are closer to 2. I mean that twist rate, totally locks you out of the slug category. But at least you have your answer. With my 1:16 superior heavy, I'm in a small "what will work" bracket myself. It is annoying.

      The 800mm FX barrels are all 1:18... They battle with lighter slugs, the RUclipsrs were playing with faster twist rates, but FX decided to only do the 1:18... Dunno why, but that is it.

    Looking to get the compact m3 or brk ghost carbine which is more accurate at 100yards?

    • @AimSmall
      @AimSmall  9 месяцев назад +1

      Pellets = BRK. Slugs = M3

    Hello ......I heard you said 1:30 twist rate? For the ghost HP, CORRECT ? I’m asking because someone said in AGN the twist rate is 1:17.5 , can you confirm? Please thanks

    • @AimSmall
      @AimSmall  4 месяца назад

      Definately not 1:17.5... twist rate a lot slower

    Would you say the fx impact is a better slug gun if you shoot most of the time slugs ?

    • @AimSmall
      @AimSmall  9 месяцев назад

      When the FX came out is was horrible with slugs, took them 2 years to develop a Slug liner, and even the first slug liners weren't great. Yes they are ahead with the slug liners at the moment, but the rivals are catching up fast. Currently if you have an FX with a good slug liner then YES it will shoot slugs better, no brainer. I shoot both, for pellets I prefer the Ghost, but the moment they bring out a slug barrel I am going to buy one.

      @@AimSmall is it the polygon barrel in your gun? shpould be the same barrel as the daystate hp that is meant to be able to shoot slugs

    • @AimSmall
      @AimSmall  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@colinstevens6837 There is no mention of polygon anywhere with regards to this barrel, not even Tony mentions anything. So I can't confirm that, spoken to a few knwoing individuals and they said it is definately not polygon. Twist rate us the biggest issue 1:30 and the choke is too aggressive for slugs.

    • @AimSmall
      @AimSmall  9 месяцев назад +1

      Nope, unless you want to shoot only slugs. The ghost is super accurate with pellets, the EBR event proved that.

    It is horrible grouping for 30 meters range. I shoot from my fx airgun at 50 meters, and pocket all the pellets at same hole, there is no space between them. I use jumbo diabolo exact .22 16 gr. At 80 meters it is different story, they start losing precision…
