They need to have simmers designing this stuff every time. They just get it.
Yes! Every time they give us something they had simmers help designing its so good. Basics are very needed in this game, they have a lot of stuff and almost nothing matches
I love that the kit is free. It’s refreshing since I never buy kits.
This is a pack that was much needed in my opinion. It seems like we have a ton of every other color scheme and style, but neutral tones that match its very nice to have now!
this is the only kit i ever considered buying lol and then i found it's free... hell yeah
The curtains were definitely one of the best I really hope we get to see more like it.
I live in Dahab, Egypt I could class myself as in the desert yes we want air but windows with no glass would mean my house would fill with dust and sand faster than it currently does hahaha. Can't wait to play with this pack
I downloaded the Free Kit as soon as I was at my Laptop. The items in this are definitely some of my favourite in the game
They literally gave us the best curtains, the dine out ones, for free in this kit 😲😍
That slight sheer is incredible though. They're perfect. The curtain rod piece is game changing. Need more of those cause man that was an oversight
@@shelbybilicki the sheer is actually pretty annoying. try looking at the windows with the curtains at different angles. the transparency of the curtains is messing with the windows. sigh
@@cherrybeetree I see what you mean now, it's just a slight graphical stutter when light shifts in a certain way. It's not to bother some to me, only happens when the camera is moving.

Even though I don’t build in this style that often I am very thankful that we got this for free. The items look very well made! Maybe fun to build an apartment inspired by these items?
Deli! I have an idea. So for the patio area, what if it was two "rooms" or sections? So the first section would be a sitting room / sunroom with the folding doors leading to the second section that has the bar and stone couches? Just an idea. Great video, I'm really excited for the build and to download it :)

The Gallery sounds like a magnificent idea! Also when I saw the kit, I immediately got the association to the Oasis Springs houses, like the Caliente house etc. Maybe people would be interested in some renovations with it.

15:14 It would not make sense to but that fireplace indoors! It designed as an outdoor fireplace with a chimney vent at the top. In real life a fireplace like that indoors would release all the smoke in your house!

As someone from the southwest was sad that there was only one Native design, the rug design on the fold chair, thought it would be more Adobe mud home style... but the dirt color is correct!

The new wall and matching floor tiles lend themselves beautifully to industrial styles. Now if they would only give us metal flooring that matches the metal stairs. I loved that TwistedMexi's Better Build Buy had the kit separated by name as soon as it downloaded. The snap point on the curtain rod can be elevated with the Tool mod by .3 to line up. Hope they fix that. LOVE that sofa.
I really wish they would have made an ottoman for the couches. And a counter to tie the grill and bar together
You should build a Santa Fe styled adobe home. They’re modern and contemporary, especially since the pack is based off the southwest us (Arizona and New Mexico). We have a lot of adobe houses here in the sw, both traditional and modern/contemporary. This area is widely known for filming movies and world renowned artists. I’d love to see what you do!!

Deli I have a build series idea for you - could you do a series building like accurate homes in different styles? Like where you research how they are irl and then you do your best to recreate them in the sims? I loved the video you did a bit ago where you researched a really neat home style in (I forgot - New Orleans maybe?) and in this video you mentioned you wanted to do more research before doing the build - I love this idea, it makes it so fun to watch (I do love your straight deli creativity too but it’s nice to shake it up sometimes😜). Anyway - love you❤

I had the exact same reaction to the curtains as a builder, love these videos and love this kit!. Yeah the extra rods dont go where you thought they would but still such a cool addition, really glad they came out with this.

You can always tell when a simmer was involved in the design process. I really like this kit, but yeah the curtains are gamechangers! We need more now!
I would love to see a modern contemporary dessert build, like those beautiful dessert home interiors u see in interior design magazines! I’m so excited to download this pack as I’ve only been playing with base game ever since I first downloaded sims (broke asf) and so another suggestion is if u want to challenge urself even more, u could build a house only using this newest kit and base game (but I totally get if u wanna utilize all the packs to make something that will stand out and pop) as people who just have basegame and this new kit could download one of ur builds!

A piece of advice to Xbox users who the kit isn't showing up for. Go to the gallery, select any lot that uses the kit, set the kit icon from that menu, and you'll be redirected to the Xbox store where you'll be able to claim the kit.
I think this and the plant kit are my favorite kits so far.
This kit feels very CC to me which is really nice as someone who doesn’t personally use CC, I feel like I’m not left out of this style anymore😊
this is so random but about a year ago i started (and never finished) building the nakagin capsule tower... the concrete wallpaper added in this kit would be perfect for it tbh 😩bless
There's a really cool Frank Lloyd Wright house called the 'Trophy House' which is a sort of desert house in LA, I'd love to see you recreate or take inspiration from it. It's very unique.

one thing I have to say about the off the ground big couch, if it was realistic, it would have 6 legs, not just 4. because with 4 legs, it is more likely to break from the middle :D
Haven't played ts4 in a couple of weeks, watching your videos just fulfills me :p but this free pack just motivated me with building ideas and the need to make houses. I also feel like this pack should have been added as a base game update tbh, but oh well. Great review, ty for this video!!
I live in a desert. Those windows with that like... Built in awnings are in a lot of the newer, taller buildings. Also, I see stuff like this around me all the time. Everything has to be sun proof. Everything. The sun will destroy most stuff by basically baking it in the summer. So honestly, good job on this pack. The linen style chairs are good as well since linen is hardy enough for the sun.

Another random moment brought to the comments by yours truly! When I was a kid, a teacher gave a very nifty trick for the dessert/ desert spelling issue that has stuck with me for decades... you're more likely to want seconds for dessert. (There's a second s in the sweet treat.)
Super excited to have this free kit. I snagged the base game when it was on sale at a ridiculous low price and have not really bought more packs yet, as I figure out my gameplay (noob here). I am a sucker for neutrals, so this kit is perfect. Thanks for showcasing and cant wait to see what you build with it.
I just want to say that people have been sleeping on desert aesthetic 🙈it’s so beautiful! We took a vacation to Sedona, Arizona last year and this is the vibe, the southwest is beautiful along with the Sonoran desert. I recxomend looking at Sedona air bnbs and even some in New Mexico to get some inspo 🤍I wish they had added some desert potted plants or some rugs or pottery, something with turquoise or clay, but I’m in love with everything in here

I knew you were gonna be excited about this. 😂 it just really bugs me that the simple luxe chair in the coral swatch is wrong to me. Should’ve been light wood frame with coral cushion. Very clear to see if you put the simple lux arm chair and the lounge chair next to each other. But those curtains are chef’s kiss

You should take a build from one of the worlds and put it into a different world. Then renovate it to belong in the new world.
For example: take a build from oasis springs put it in willow creek and make it look like it belongs in willow creek rather than oasis springs.

I think by having simmers help design stuff it really does help EA get a different kinda perspective I guess
I guess the best way I could put it is like someone who designs cars
And then having the people who actually have to drive them pitch in to help see what works better here and there

The curtains and the couch are definitely my two favorite items from the kit, but everything is stunning (especially when it’s free!) The color palette reminds me a lot of the CC you tend to use lol so I look forward to you using these items!
U should build a bar/house USEING this kit to make a dessert like look. Either in Oais Spring world or another world. But make the bar/house as sheek and trendi as you possibly CAN. If that help for an idea. 👍✌️❤️ Over all I also think that Evelyn did nice job on this kit. 👍🌟✌️
I'm not gonna lie I feel like this was a bandaid and a hush your mouths thing for the issues TS4 has been having BUT this kit is pretty cool... I appreciate getting this one for free. This kit reminds me of a CC Pack from Harrie!

Thank you for mentioning it was free. I didn't know EA was going to do that. Of course when I went to get it, I had to update my game, which I last did October 2021. I figured since I wasn't going to be able to go into the game again until I got a new graphics card, I would hold off updating it. At least now it's up to date, and I will have a new kit, the first one I have gotten, to build with when I am able to play TS4 again.
It's nice to see them offering the base game for free for those who don't have it. The last time it was free, May of 2018 or 2019, that's when I got the game.

This is a actually a cool kit I just got it the other day and have been playing it ALOT. I think it works great for OASIS Spring world. I enjoy playing with there the most. It's nice we got something for Free finally. I

Maybe a young family build? The parents could be architects/artists who finally got their big break and now they are moving to the desert to find inspiration for their next project. They don’t even have to be parents, maybe a couple and then her younger sister moving in with her since she’s now the caregiver. The younger sister could be getting into design as well, either with clothes or digital art? And a dog ofc hehe 😁💌

This is definitely a Brutalist vibe, and also a bit Mid-Century Modern (but in neutral colors). Could be interesting to combine this with Mid-Century Modern items from Get Famous OR the Base Game Mission style (because it’s also Southwestern). Or Batuu 😂

I know this was several months ago posted haha but you mentioned thinking desert should be spelled with two S's like dessert. My dad taught me a trick for knowing how to spell and which is which hahah. Desert has one S bcuz its Just Sand and nothing else. Dessert has two S's bcuz its full of Sugar and Sweet.
