This series is definitely gonna end with Alan killing Rowan. And Rowan rising from his grave once he realizes people have gone to his funeral instead of work.
I can see Alan killing Rowan. Setting an elaborate trap where he drops a pen, Rowan comes running and ends up snared or something.
Alan has killed before (ben). But he did come back so...idk lol

Fun fact:
In one of the older episodes alan was the Boss and treated Rowan really bad and said the exact line with "dont u ever cross me".
Though to be fair rowan had had myriad episodes if being the a**hole boss before that. But Alan still definitely went to the dark side with that one though.
That whole series with the shirts was AWESOME! It's funny how just a SHIRT can bring such a powerful feeling! Lol and attitude!

I'm so impressed by how literally EVERY single line of dialogue showcases how different each character is, without fail.
Yeah but its not funny anymore when its too typecastey. I prefer when they act out of character rather than increasingly exaggerated versions of their "type".

Rowan still doesn't know how much Alan always sacrifice himself for every christmas, so Rowan can think himself as a goof boy in front the father christmas eyes

Heh, still not that bad, fortunately. Rowan didn't go for the worst-level boss there are worst. I am standing behind what I said, no matter what you think now. You remember the worst people if they want you to remember. That is why you get lucky if someone gives you helpin hand even if you end up on bad terms
These skits literally make me anxious from having had a boss just like this. Egomaniac sociopath.
I worked for a company with a boss who fired an engineer because he told the boss "No, we can't go for the moon, we are not NASA". You know at some point, marketing guys often external ones, will come up with great idea to make it look like your company is on a moon mission and the boss totally likes it and so there maybe even logos and merchandise and such.

Sociopaths are somewhat predictable I just stay away from their path, I had a malicious borderline boss, it was worst. The lack of confidence would make him never trust me despite showing him I would give him my best for 5 years and a half while enduring harassment. He felt challenged and threatened by me just by me doing a good job (scared that I could take a position he wanted for his son). Changing personality and going from it's all good to everything is wrong in seconds and would take it with me instead of taking it with the real cause. Also, burst of anger. There was a point I had to start stopping him from harassing me. Survived for some years until he tried to play it on me doing something illegal, and I started a lawsuit. They agreed to give me what I wanted and I left.
That actually gave me chills. That was one of Rowan's coldest moments in more ways than one.
(Yes, I know there are a plethora of other times where Rowan has been very ruthless, but there are very few times where he's been this straight up confrontational and intimidating without any comedic side to it.)

I recently started to watch the Bored playlist from the beginning and this is probably the cruelest thing Rowan ever did.
In reality Alan would have quit his job a long time ago, this is quite unacceptable behaviour. I was happy that they were making Rowan less of an A-hole, but here he comes again. I don't like it, I feel angry for him.

afterwards everyone is going to see their paychecks and realize it was a non paid day, so they got this fun day but got less in pay as a result. Mean while Alan still gets paid while having a relaxing day without Rowan making work hell for him and without the most annoying customer they have. I think overall its a win for Alan.

This series probably never needs to end, but if it does, I want an entire "Alan Quits" arc. Im envisioning ensuing episodes of him finding a rival tech store, constantly on edge because he's expecting rowan's ridiculous rules, an episode of Rowan trying and failing to make Alan come into work because rowan didnt accept the resignation, an episode of slow collapse at Tech town and Alan getting to implement all the sensible practices he wanted to have at Tech Town, an ensuing war between stores where Alan is promoted over and over again and Rowan drives Tech Town into the ground by giving things away, and finally Alan taking pity on his friends when he sees them struggling, using his new massive paycheck and bonuses to buy Tech Town, and become the new CEO.
and one thing I just thought of, at the very end, when Rowan doesn't want to accept the outcome of all of this, he wants to run away, Alan puts a hand on Rowan's shoulder and says "You can't run away Rowan. You're the manager" signifying that he's going to let Rowan keep his job, roll credits.

Reminds me of that Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode, in which Carton takes over the College store and makes a bunch of changes, Will quits and Carlton has to do everything to get him back. 😂
Maybe change the ending where they'll still make Alan an employee under Rowan. Usually these things they want to end it in a way that it all circles back. Itll be hard to have the same dynamic where Alan is CEO but Rowan is a boss. The series isnt the same again and they might lose fans cause of it.
