Alan has known Ben for literal years by now, long enough that he can now predict and deal with all his ridiculousness every now and again.
That is a massive box. That must have been pretty hard to make. Is it printed directly? Some sort of vinyl sticker? I am honestly more stunned by the prop than the fact that Alan finally got one over on Ben and his schemes. Seems like TechTown is a lot better prepared for dealing with Ben. Between their amazing range and Britt's ability to bleed on command. He may never get one over on them again.
