I know this is not the same but , Sometimes people after buying stuff from me and giving the money they FORGET to take the stuff they bought and i have to scream to them so they take their stuff 😂
I worked in an electronics store for some time myself, and I can confirm: a lot of these are alarmingly accurate representations of customers, possibly more than the layman might even believe…
Let’s pay a huge respect to all retail workers who deal with these type of customers everyday. Also let’s pay for Adam’s therapy. He really needs it. And Rowan is the best ❤
When i had my first job years ago at mcdonalds i had a guy yell and swear at me and demand a new meal, because his fries had fallen over inside his bag. It was scary and hilarious at the same time
The lick skit is probably one of the best ones you guys have ever done. No matter how many times I see it I can't help but laugh my ass off at the sudden appearance and lick from Rowan, and the immediate surrender of Ben. Just perfection at its finest
14:33 Alan being a psychopath is quite possibly the best thing across all of VLDL, and that's saying something. I can't believe I forgot this episode of Bored existed.
seeing these old videos makes you realise how well these guys have developed physically. Especially ben is jacked af nowdays. same goes for alan and rowan. hats off to you guys
I will say the way that the Karen actress (sadly, don't know her name) projects herself and emphasizes certain words really sells her character and she's SOOOO good at it. I hope we get more of her.
Alan's face when Rowan licks Ben's face is so funny!! I mean these guys are not only creative, have good sense of humor and successful. They also have great acting skills! So happy I came across your channel years ago and it has been such a privilege to see you guys grow and grow each day. Much love from Turkey
I love how she starts out acting perfectly pleasant, even smiling at the employees, but it still sends chills down their spines. Shes a goddamn powerhouse
You know, I'm surprised that they haven't done employee discount. Love to see Alan or Adam trying to buy something from Rowan as employees and not customers.
I know Rowan lost 20 million by totally mismanaging Ellie's payroll and by giving away high end product for free by mistake but on the other hand... he also showed brilliant business sense by constantly cutting payroll costs in Adam and Alan's payroll. He rolled Ben into the employee pool without even paying him and even punished him for dropping playtech equipment. Rowan actually owns Ben by the rules of the street. He kept the Karens at bay and kept them for extorting endless discounts. Both the best and worst of times indeed
Ben and Rowan must be close because that tongue swipe was... something else. The bgm, facial expressions and tone of voice just set that scene up for a perfect ending.
The Karen saga always gives me goosebumps. No idea why it's so powerful to me but so well done. One of the best sagas of VLDL for sure. Keep up the amazing work guys and girls!
i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i chose a job with basicly no customer interaction. and even the very little interaction i have drives me crazy, since it's usually things that are just physically impossible (i'm an engineer)
Amen. If "customers" act up in my job, I can sedate them, or have police detain/arrest them. (EMT here.) Unfortunately, the equivalent of browsing after closing time is the 2am anxiety attack (or abdominal pain from three days ago, or - and this literally happened - trouble sleeping).
Y'know... after seeing the Karen episode again, having a compilation of all the times Alan and Rowan are bros together would be really great. Those are some of my favorite moments, when shit goes down and they have that bond. ♥
Ben finally shows up at the new Playtech! Ha ha. Adam running away from the Karen was sooooo funny, but my favorite sketch as a former retail worker is probably the customer coming in after closing. Alan really captured the feeling of the employees in that situation.
I don't work in a tech store, but a regular grocery store, and I've had many of these encounters. Especially Karens... one time a "Karen" came in and told us the fruit is 30% off and she said she didn't get the full 30% "i used to work in a store" and all that shit. So i got tired of arguing said she can talk to my colleague, she works part time as a math teacher, she was gone after 10 seconds of talking with my colleague. Made our day, we talked about it for a long time afterwards 😂
The scented candles scenario us just like the time I learned we had a toaster at the hardware store I work at. I no longer make assumptions about our stock.
The lady who plays Karen is awesome, i bet she could do shake spear with the same ease. Flat clicker is so funny, i always have that stuck in my head after watching this. Very cute! Also when Alan locks Ben in and raises a sword to him and monologs in an old upper crust English accent is brilliant. Alan can play an everyman very convincingly but he can also go convincing psycho in a heart beat. Love! This is a great complication! Everyone did a wonderful job and no one will have to be sent to the teaspoon punishment closet! 🎉❤😂🎉❤😂🎉❤
Second time watching most of these, and i gotta say, Karen IS right, the consumer protection act does make it so all promotion posters still up are valid
video should be called "two hotties making out" pro tip: if you're calling the cops and someone hinders you at doing so as seen around 1:45, that's already a felony in many places, only coersion in some places though
As a retail worker i can fully say with 100% confidence and internal emotional pain that this shit is only slightly exaggerated lol like first dude would instead go home then go to a different playtech and try to return it lol. We recently had an issue with people trying to pick other peoples shit up in store to steal it… it is bad and they will fight you every bit of the way then play victim at the end as they leave
There is one I would suggest to add to the skits. When I was in retail, one customer came in with her kids and as she payed them no mind, they started just sweeping all the product onto the ground. I was looking at her, at them, and back to her and she did not say a darn thing. Chaos Children.
07:35 oh boy, I know this kind. "I need a protector thing" - a.... protector-thing? protector for what part exactly? "yeah this metal one" .... aaaallright do you have an article number? - sends picture of entire construction - "that part I mean". GREAT!
Alan’s eyes popping when he says “I told you, we’re closed. . .” is so perfect and sells the brief dissociation he has from reality when he starts speaking in that creepy voice lol.
Almost every skit has the feeling of an epic movie. You forget you're watching a 5 minute skit and not a feature length film. They're so good at putting implied story subtext beyond the skit itself.
The Karen actress is brilliant, every scene with her is a masterpiece.
One Karen to rule them all!
Exactly!
We need more of her for the new store :P
She's great. She must be a theater actor.
I would like to see her in big screens. She seems to be an awesome actor.
I love how much this shows Adam's slow descent into madness as reality crumbles around him.
my favourtie episode, i jsut missed a splatter of blood pouring trough the gate and some squishy noise along with the screams
i was hoping for Alan to descend into madness and end up doing something bad, i love to see it because of all Rowan's idiocy
E
I’ll never get over Rowan agreeing to pay Ben in cash and then they just shake hands and leave with no exchange of money
Absolutely boss move.
Oh good. I'm not the only one who noticed that. One of Rowan's redeeming scenes.
Pretty sure that was an inside job 🤣🤣🤣
I know this is not the same but ,

@@zweihander00 I've been that customer. I'm always very grateful for the cashier who goes the extra mile to make sure I leave with my purchase.
Ben's acting is so good. He feels natural. I love everyone else but Ben seems like he has a gift for acting.
yea everyone is amazing but ben just feels so damn real
so true. always loved Ben
I think he has a background in acting. And according to his IMDB page he also did a couple of tv shows.
Rowan was in Spartacus 😄
Maybe Ben ISN'T acting 🤣

For a moment there, you scared me!

I'm convinced Ben is the reason Playtech went out of business.
E
I imagine the actual Ben coming into my store, and begin to panic, because I can't tell if he is being serious when he says "I AM FURIOUS!"
nah it's rowan
Nah. Allie is why playtech closed. Getting paid 1000s per hour.
@@crackrjack31 maybe, but Rowan was never responsible enough to make payroll. The company still probably owes her money.
I love the fact that Karen is Ben's mother according to the TTRPG
oh gosh that makes so much sense
Lolololololololool
I always assumed that was the case.
Nahhh man! No way Ben paid full price for headphones. I suppose it could have been a never before seen little brother.
Ben bought something? Outrageous!
The lick skit is probably one of the best ones you guys have ever done. No matter how many times I see it I can't help but laugh my ass off at the sudden appearance and lick from Rowan, and the immediate surrender of Ben. Just perfection at its finest
And Ben’s little nod before he just runs off 😆
soooooo good
And Alan's expressions are priceless
14:33 Alan being a psychopath is quite possibly the best thing across all of VLDL, and that's saying something. I can't believe I forgot this episode of Bored existed.
His sudden accent was so on point and hilarious..
For those that didn't know, Ben still being in the cupboard bit is here. They never show him being let out.😂

She's an amazing actress. Really feel the entitlement in her acting.
I hope she had a lot of fun doing that.
Another commenter said her name is Alison Quigan
the secret sauce it she aint acting ;)
Karen saying "I am a registered Google user!" has had me chuckling for a few minutes now.
That first clip with Karen was intense, and as a former chick fil a manager I’ve gotta say, it was absolutely beautiful.
Did you have to deal with many registered Google users as well?

I heard they had to redo that shot as they couldn't keep a straight face.

When Alan goes full psychotic break, Im here for it
"-AHHH....I NEED YOUR SURNAME....SO I CAN PUT IT IN THE COMPUTER!" is the best acting Adam has had so far lmao
You know, I'm surprised that they haven't done employee discount. Love to see Alan or Adam trying to buy something from Rowan as employees and not customers.
The way Alan just just abandoned him when she walks in. Lol
I know Rowan lost 20 million by totally mismanaging Ellie's payroll and by giving away high end product for free by mistake but on the other hand... he also showed brilliant business sense by constantly cutting payroll costs in Adam and Alan's payroll. This is exactly why Rowan wears a black shirt while others are just low socio-economic peasants.
The "Karen" episode was so epic. The voices, the acting. Perfection.
Thirty minutes of nightmares for retail 😅
Ben and Rowan must be close because that tongue swipe was... something else. The bgm, facial expressions and tone of voice just set that scene up for a perfect ending.
That's all because of Ben's magic hands. He trained in Bali!
This really highlights how great of actors you all truly are.
The Karen saga always gives me goosebumps. No idea why it's so powerful to me but so well done. One of the best sagas of VLDL for sure. Keep up the amazing work guys and girls!
I wish this side character will return. Scented candles episode and Last Name are one of my favourites 😂

The acting of the sword part is impeccable
Never ever EVER let someone in after closing, it doesn't end well... EVER
6:21 "She will be back and in greater numbers" is such a nice tip of the hat to Star Wars!
The way ben says outrageous, that shit's dingo
This compilation was just what I needed. I realized how many episodes I must have missed.
Watch the whole serie from the beginning, you'll have a lot of fun 😂
We need more....KAREN! She was brilliant.
Her "Ahhhhh......there you are" line still haunts me! :P
Yeah, she's like an old school disney villain! ❤
I get chills every time I hear it.
There are no bad customers, only people who need directions to the exit

If the gate is down NEVER interact with a customer outside.
Alan's acting in In & Out was glorious
I'd love a cut-together of every scene Adam flees. You could call it "Adam's Run".
"Adam, you can't keep running off, you're the new guy!"
Ben has clearly spent time working in retail cause it's not just the writing that is on point.
When they were staring out from behind the gate I really wanted to hear Greg say, "are we safe now?" 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for this. I'll say it again, your first Karen episode was one of your all-time best.
I really missed Bens monopoly money 😂

He came in in one piece. He went out in pieces.
I also really enjoy how 90% of "The worst customers in history" is just Ben. 🤣

Damn, keyboards are realy clicky
The Karen actress voice is perfect for Audiobook on any Warhammer 40K story regarding The Sisters of Battles or Chaos related story
Evil Alan is terrifying. Evil Alan vs Karen would be interesting.
The Karen actress legit gives me chills. She absolutely nailed the role of angry annoying Karen. She is amazing!
We need Ben in Techtown asap!
Alans/gregs ability to just randomly snap is just awesome
Having The Planets Mars playing during the Karen was amazing!
When Karen walked in you know things were gonna get serious
Working customer service. This is great. Don’t stop.
The actor who plays the Karen is actually really good and convincing. I loved all of her scenes
I had to rewatch the flat clicker sketch to see that his description of the device is actually accurate:)
13:30 I've been waiting for the moment when Alan's latent serial killer took over and ended Ben's customer character.😂

_And that's how Playtech rid of Ben's scams_
I love Rowan's character. He appears to be a stupid and incompetent boss, but he got his shit together and owns entitled customers xD

It feels like the manager sees all and knows all and just lets everything play out adding a little chaos here and there... Just like real life
The Rowan lick jumpscare got me and now I’m scarred for life
Playing Mars from the Planets suite for the Karen scene was a nice touch.
That battle between Rowan and Karen is one that will go down in history
6:12 is the ONLY time throughout the whole 300+ episodes I have cheered for Rowan.
The most epic entrance in RUclips history:
My name…
IS KAREN!!!!!!!
It's simply outrageous that they left out the voucher and monopoly money
Yeah wasn't there a second half of that skit where Rowan really just handed him monopoly money?
Ben was throughout this video and never said his signature phrase? OUTRAGEOUS!
Almost every skit has the feeling of an epic movie. You forget you're watching a 5 minute skit and not a feature length film. They're so good at putting implied story subtext beyond the skit itself.
2:40 the face of "why am I working this job when I could do that?"
I think the ones where rowan isn't working against everyone else are the best, but only because it just almost never happens.
Karen is still the best! i love the actress
the in and outs are one of the worst ones he sees the door locked and thinks its just buy and leave
I still love Alan's menatally desturbing voice. While ben is begging for his life
My favorite is when Allen gets the sword in In and Out while pretending Ben's a robber
I love how Allan has a switch flipped when the store is closed
