I know this is not the same but , Sometimes people after buying stuff from me and giving the money they FORGET to take the stuff they bought and i have to scream to them so they take their stuff 😂
I worked in an electronics store for some time myself, and I can confirm: a lot of these are alarmingly accurate representations of customers, possibly more than the layman might even believe…
The Karen skit is awesome. The camera angle on Adam as he looks back at Rowan is perfection, then Adam's running is hilarious. The light shining through the gate on their faces at the end, brilliant.
The problem with the Karen skit is that she was actually right to complain, you can't leave those kinds of signs up after the sale ends. They are obviously misleading, not everyone has time to read the small print. Karen's are actually entitled persons, everything has to bend to their will. It's not about complaining (to the manager) with a valid reason.
Let’s pay a huge respect to all retail workers who deal with these type of customers everyday. Also let’s pay for Adam’s therapy. He really needs it. And Rowan is the best ❤
When i had my first job years ago at mcdonalds i had a guy yell and swear at me and demand a new meal, because his fries had fallen over inside his bag. It was scary and hilarious at the same time
Playtech series (and every other series on this channel for that matter) are just so rewatchable, I laugh at the same places every time lol. This type of humor is just genius.
Absolutely! I love rowan but honestly, Alan and Hamish are my favourites. If I could meet anyone in the world it would be Alan from viva la dirt (Greg the garlic farmer)
14:33 Alan being a psychopath is quite possibly the best thing across all of VLDL, and that's saying something. I can't believe I forgot this episode of Bored existed.
Alan's face when Rowan licks Ben's face is so funny!! I mean these guys are not only creative, have good sense of humor and successful. They also have great acting skills! So happy I came across your channel years ago and it has been such a privilege to see you guys grow and grow each day. Much love from Turkey
I will say the way that the Karen actress (sadly, don't know her name) projects herself and emphasizes certain words really sells her character and she's SOOOO good at it. I hope we get more of her.
seeing these old videos makes you realise how well these guys have developed physically. Especially ben is jacked af nowdays. same goes for alan and rowan. hats off to you guys
The lick skit is probably one of the best ones you guys have ever done. No matter how many times I see it I can't help but laugh my ass off at the sudden appearance and lick from Rowan, and the immediate surrender of Ben. Just perfection at its finest
I love how she starts out acting perfectly pleasant, even smiling at the employees, but it still sends chills down their spines. Shes a goddamn powerhouse
Ben and Rowan must be close because that tongue swipe was... something else. The bgm, facial expressions and tone of voice just set that scene up for a perfect ending.
You know, I'm surprised that they haven't done employee discount. Love to see Alan or Adam trying to buy something from Rowan as employees and not customers.
I know Rowan lost 20 million by totally mismanaging Ellie's payroll and by giving away high end product for free by mistake but on the other hand... he also showed brilliant business sense by constantly cutting payroll costs in Adam and Alan's payroll. He rolled Ben into the employee pool without even paying him and even punished him for dropping playtech equipment. Rowan actually owns Ben by the rules of the street. He kept the Karens at bay and kept them for extorting endless discounts. Both the best and worst of times indeed
I worked in retail eons ago ... bizarre how things haven't changed. Somebody wrote these from their real-life experiences 😆. VLDL has the best ensemble of comedians/actors in entertainment today, just comedy gold!
The Karen saga always gives me goosebumps. No idea why it's so powerful to me but so well done. One of the best sagas of VLDL for sure. Keep up the amazing work guys and girls!
Alan’s eyes popping when he says “I told you, we’re closed. . .” is so perfect and sells the brief dissociation he has from reality when he starts speaking in that creepy voice lol.
i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i chose a job with basicly no customer interaction. and even the very little interaction i have drives me crazy, since it's usually things that are just physically impossible (i'm an engineer)
Amen. If "customers" act up in my job, I can sedate them, or have police detain/arrest them. (EMT here.) Unfortunately, the equivalent of browsing after closing time is the 2am anxiety attack (or abdominal pain from three days ago, or - and this literally happened - trouble sleeping).
I don't work in a tech store, but a regular grocery store, and I've had many of these encounters. Especially Karens... one time a "Karen" came in and told us the fruit is 30% off and she said she didn't get the full 30% "i used to work in a store" and all that shit. So i got tired of arguing said she can talk to my colleague, she works part time as a math teacher, she was gone after 10 seconds of talking with my colleague. Made our day, we talked about it for a long time afterwards 😂
"Do you want to know what Play Tech does with robbers?" I've seen this one Rowan buys what they've stolen at a huge mark up and berates the staff for trying to call the cops.
This is all solid gold! The music as they begin their conflict, the quotes, the fact that for many stores this isn't a joke, it's just every day business. If you've ever worked in retail, tell me you've never spelled customers with an n.
Y'know... after seeing the Karen episode again, having a compilation of all the times Alan and Rowan are bros together would be really great. Those are some of my favorite moments, when shit goes down and they have that bond. ♥
Ben finally shows up at the new Playtech! Ha ha. Adam running away from the Karen was sooooo funny, but my favorite sketch as a former retail worker is probably the customer coming in after closing. Alan really captured the feeling of the employees in that situation.
The scented candles scenario us just like the time I learned we had a toaster at the hardware store I work at. I no longer make assumptions about our stock.
I feel the last-minute shopper sketch. I used to work at a big hunting store, and people would come in 10 minutes before close and just ignore the "we've closed get out" messages
The lady who plays Karen is awesome, i bet she could do shake spear with the same ease. Flat clicker is so funny, i always have that stuck in my head after watching this. Very cute! Also when Alan locks Ben in and raises a sword to him and monologs in an old upper crust English accent is brilliant. Alan can play an everyman very convincingly but he can also go convincing psycho in a heart beat. Love! This is a great complication! There is one I would suggest to add to the skits. When I was in retail, one customer came in with her kids and as she payed them no mind, they started just sweeping all the product onto the ground. I was looking at her, at them, and back to her and she did not say a darn thing. Chaos Children.
My comments usually pass by unnoticed, I just hope you're reding this as I appreciate your work beyond anything. And I recommend it to almost everyone I meet (when appropriate ofc). You're so funny, love you all! Keep it up!
The Karen actress is brilliant, every scene with her is a masterpiece.
One Karen to rule them all!
Exactly!
We need more of her for the new store :P
She's great. She must be a theater actor.
I would like to see her in big screens. She seems to be an awesome actor.
I love how much this shows Adam's slow descent into madness as reality crumbles around him.
my favourtie episode, i jsut missed a splatter of blood pouring trough the gate and some squishy noise along with the screams
i was hoping for Alan to descend into madness and end up doing something bad, i love to see it because of all Rowan's idiocy

so true. always loved Ben
I think he has a background in acting. And according to his IMDB page he also did a couple of tv shows.
Rowan was in Spartacus 😄

That first clip with Karen was intense, and as a former chick fil a manager I’ve gotta say, it was absolutely beautiful.
Did you have to deal with many registered Google users as well?
The way Alan just just abandoned him when she walks in. Lol
Karen saying "I am a registered Google user!" has had me chuckling for a few minutes now.
I wish this side character will return. Scented candles episode and Last Name are one of my favourites 😂
Why is clear cookies from the case not in this super cut?
13:23 one of Alan's best and most terifying performance ever.. Ben getting what he deserves once in his life 😅
Ben and Rowan must be close because that tongue swipe was... something else. The bgm, facial expressions and tone of voice just set that scene up for a perfect ending.
That's all because of Ben's magic hands. He trained in Bali!
Ben's accent and narration of 'The Heist' is superb. He's got great range.
"-AHHH....I NEED YOUR SURNAME....SO I CAN PUT IT IN THE COMPUTER!" is the best acting Adam has had so far lmao
You know, I'm surprised that they haven't done employee discount. Love to see Alan or Adam trying to buy something from Rowan as employees and not customers.

This really highlights how great of actors you all truly are.
The "Karen" episode was so epic. The voices, the acting. Perfection.

"Do you want to know what Play Tech does with robbers?" I've seen this one Rowan buys what they've stolen at a huge mark up and berates the staff for trying to call the cops.
This compilation was just what I needed. I realized how many episodes I must have missed.

The acting of the sword part is impeccable
Relatable. I work at a pharmacy and got sworn at 2 times and yelled at an additional 4 times yesterday.

Since Ben became Karen's son I knew it was coming, just need a skit with both of them 😂
That last one "you lick it you keep it" ha he didn't expect the manager to play the Uno reverse card 😂😂😂
Idk which is funnier, Ben and Rowan adamantly agreeing on something or them adamantly disagreeing on something 😂 both bits always get me rolling 😂
Having The Planets Mars playing during the Karen was amazing!
I'd love a cut-together of every scene Adam flees. You could call it "Adam's Run".
"Adam, you can't keep running off, you're the new guy!"
If the gate is down NEVER interact with a customer outside.
I absolutely love Ben. The character is hilarious and the actor is incredible.

I don't want to insult that Karen actress by saying she's the perfect Karen, but goddamn she is the perfect Karen.
It was great to rewatch these episodes, fun and entertaining. Never ever get bored of these skits 😂
Ben has clearly spent time working in retail cause it's not just the writing that is on point.
When they were staring out from behind the gate I really wanted to hear Greg say, "are we safe now?" 😂😂😂😂
Very funny yet very sad. Almost anybody that has worked in retail has dealt with these sorts.
The "in and out" skit though... I totally forgot how good it was :)
We need more....KAREN! She was brilliant.
Her "Ahhhhh......there you are" line still haunts me! :P
Yeah, she's like an old school disney villain! ❤
I get chills every time I hear it.
The Karen actress voice is perfect for Audiobook on any Warhammer 40K story regarding The Sisters of Battles or Chaos related story
I love the Karen episodes, the actress is awesome and I love that's one of the times Rowan stands up for his employees lol
2:50 and thats when the adventureers felt true fear for the first time.

Thanks for this. I'll say it again, your first Karen episode was one of your all-time best.
As someone who used to work in retail, this is all super relatable, but ESPECIALLY the In & Out episode.
The scented candles scenario us just like the time I learned we had a toaster at the hardware store I work at. I no longer make assumptions about our stock.
I love the wink to Star Wars with Alan's "She'll be back, and in greater numbers" line ❤
That smirk from Alan when Ben dropped the spoon was perfect.
I really missed Bens monopoly money 😂

The Karen boss fight music was perfect
The rules of the street got me hurting 🤣

Knowing Karen is Bens Mum 😂
I feel the last-minute shopper sketch. I used to work at a big hunting store, and people would come in 10 minutes before close and just ignore the "we've closed get out" messages
We need Ben in Techtown asap!
Who ever plays the Karen is REALLY good. She's a REALLY good actress! BRavo!
I also really enjoy how 90% of "The worst customers in history" is just Ben. 🤣
He came in in one piece. He went out in pieces.
you lick it you keep it was one of the best bored videos :D
I think the ones where rowan isn't working against everyone else are the best, but only because it just almost never happens.
I had to rewatch the flat clicker sketch to see that his description of the device is actually accurate:)
The Surname guy had me wanting to punch the screen.
Evil Alan is terrifying. Evil Alan vs Karen would be interesting.
That second clip was the only time I've seen Rowan being useful 🤣
The lady who plays Karen is awesome, i bet she could do shake spear with the same ease. Flat clicker is so funny, i always have that stuck in my head after watching this. Very cute!
