People always complain that they never show all of 2010s fashion but fashion is more affordable now than ever so there is a greater variety in fashion than in previous decades. Galaxy print was everywhere in early 2010s. Camo and gingham was everywhere 2016-2017. Now it's animal print. They can't show everything. People need to relax. Glen plaid is still big.
I hate how in some of the hundred years videos they represent the 30s as the wizard of oz but that was in 1939 which really represents the style of the early 40s
@@Applezauxe it has changed back in the days ppl would only wear uniforms only uniforms no casual days and the skirts reaaaaaally long but they got shorter by the time

Same. Also no one wore long hair in the 50s, like I'd literaaly challenge the makers to find just one photo of an adult woman with long hair in the 50s.
Same goes for Jimi Hendrix. I don’t know why most people think 1970s = hippies when the most influential artists like these two died in the early 70s, deffo more of a late 60s icon - hello like Woodstock. 🕺🏿 I don’t deny that the early 70s was the height of the hippie movement though.
My friend’s mom was one of THOSE white “woke” early 2000s moms who like, had Buddha statues in her house and wouldn’t let her kid watch Disney movies. Ugh. It’s so cringe. Anyways, my friend wanted to buy a pair of camo pants and her mom was like “noooo it glorifies the army!” And my friend was like “chill mom, it’s just a pattern” And I know this story because my friends mom told it to my mom once while we were all out at lunch together. She was so proud of her daughter, she was like “it really made me wake up and realize, yes, it is just a pattern. It was then that I realized my daughter was reclaiming a harmless pattern that has been taken over by the war machine” And to this day it kills me because I know FOR A FACT she only wanted those pants because they were in style. She was a ridiculous woman
MnMsandOreos please make several videos about this mom. Or comments. Or on a bill board. Or in sky righting. Lol sorry if I am annoying but like she is so *that* mom also why no Disney movies
What was with the 50's outfit? Could you really not get a proper length petticoat? Honestly no petticoat would have been better than one that is too short and creates that flat band around the bottom. And what was with the scarf? Turbans (which looked completely different) were popular in the 40's. In the 50's women would tie scarfs over their curlers to protect them while setting, but it was tied with the ends at the top of the forehead completely covering the hair. Even then it was something worn only around the house, to be seen in public with your hair like that would have been an embarrassment for most, and certainly was not fashionable. I love the idea of teaching fashion history, being a huge fashion history enthusiast myself. But if you are going to do it, please do it properly!
The petticoat was so annoying! Also why can they never seem to do a proper beehive? It’s never wide enough and always ends up looking like an awkward hair cone in the middle of the model’s head
I don't know what you guys are talking about. The model's skirt looks to be the same length of the girl's skirt in the old picture they showed. Also, their scarves are tied on their heads exactly the same way, with the ends on the back of their heads.
I feel like the 2010s are honestly trying way too hard to copy 90s fashion instead of finding an identity of it's own. The only things I can think off at the top of my head that "might" be exclusive to this decade are Thick instagram eyebrows, matching nude everything, wearing active wear 24/7, galaxy print, and that print that looks like marble/acid wash (idk what its called but bieber wore it a lot in 2017).
They really need a better historian. Some of the facts in these videos are off and some of the pairings they do are completely ridiculous.
