As a competition dancer in the early 2010s, the front pouf was very popular for dance studios past the 2000s, I always noticed it even though my studio preferred regular ponytails or the occasional hair extension.

It's mini cause a proper pouf is what you see on a Gibson Girl, the super large pouf that encircles the head with a bun or a loose bun in the centre! But yeah they were big and very ugly
