It was SUCH a pleasure working on this video. Thank you Glamour and Condé Nast. ❤️❤️ Still obsessed with that 2010s look! Y’all made me feel like Hilary Duff 🤩
That's my gripe too! Their 2000's was way more 90's; to me the 2000's would be all tracksuits especially the velour Juicy Couture ones. If you couldn't afford Juicy, you got a knockoff out of somewhere like Matalan
The 1930's probably replaced the 20's do to us now being in the 2020's, so the timeline rundown had to be adjusted accordingly to the premise of "100 Years Of...". After all, it's not called "110 Years Of...". Kind of ironic, seeing how they've often have the rarity of starting some of their videos in the 1910's, or even the 1900's beforehand.
Right!? I always say this to my husband! I’m especially drawn to the 20s and 30s and would so love to be able to dress this was everyday! So beautiful, so glamorous 😍 I was unfortunately born in the early eighties, the fashions of then….. not so much 😩😂😂
These series are really great and educational but I'm very disappointed that you did not mention Vivian Westwood in reference to the invention and popularization of 80s punk
It's probably do to the fact that we're now in the 2020's, and so the timeline had to adjust accordingly by starting in the 1930's. After all, it's called "100 Years Of...", not "110 Years Of...". Which is ironic, because this series sometimes had the rarity of having videos start off in the 1910's, or even the 1900's.
So... the UK had the Cool Britania during the 90s, that heavily influenced fashion, and what we get it's the Seattle grunge look a like and minimal fashion?! The 80s with the Sloane Rangers, Laura Ashley and the Blitz but we get a power suit? I guess this more about american fashion rather than british.
Yes! This is an insult to our great nation. It makes us look unoriginal! Hippie should not have been 70s as Manson stopped that trend, the 50s should've been teddy boy. And 1990s should've been All saints.
Originally it started in the 1920's (sometimes the 1910's). But seeing how we're now in the 2020's, the timeline rundown had to be adjusted to now start at the 1930's. Seeing how the series is called "100 Years Of...", not "110 Years Of...".
The undergarments on these videos are a joke. You have to wear proper foundation garments to get the right shape. It all looks modern when there’s modern under garments.
Love all the British styles in this Glamour video but especially the celeb culture inspired one of the 2000's I personally think Glamour should an evolution video of Italian fashion next
2000s:Girls Aloud Sarah,Nicola and Cheryl are the most common members of the group with their girl crush concept, nicknamed by their hair colors:Sarah(vanilla),Nicola(strawberry) and Cheryl(chocolate)
So y'all are saying that Princess Diana didn't influence UK fashion at all yet she was and still is a hugely popular person for her fashion and style 🤔 that doesn't make any sense
I remember that period of, underwear is outerwear... that came in around 1980s as well.. the whole Madonna thing.. and then it went again in the 1990s. But to see this now in the catwalk for 2020... It's kind of retro nostalgia in a way. The whole minimalism thing, that was also quite odd too... but it was passable. Long dresses like that, and then with heavy boots. Which kind of makes the whole "grunge" look. But I don't think people associated that look as a thing in the UK somehow. I know it was a big trend in the US... and it was written about as well in magazines in HK.
This video is so inaccurate I don't even have the emergy to point out every mistake but I will say 70s-00s is an absolute mess. I'm presuming Glamour is an American channel?
Même mode à Londres Paris ou New York selon la décennie. Tout dépendait du statut social et de vouloir être à la mode ou pas. Y a pas que les français qui sont chauvins 😆
During the 1800’s the British did not even have any clothes to wear. As the only country producing clothes was india. Most of the British even today show pictures of my great grandfathers private community as reference points the suit and dresses are all Indian Hindu Khumbar Prajapati clothing. ⚡️🤴🏽🕉🔺➕
i don't like to post negative comments but this is so dreadfully inaccurate it hurts. most of the problems have been covered by other comments already, but the 2020s? i assure you we are not walking around in bright suits with our bras out.
i love every single time there's always a huge jump between the styles of the 50s and the 60s
Yeah um that's not actually how it went tho
@@princesssparkle529 I was strictly talking abt the video loll ofc
Girls and Women don't actually wear pants in 1940s, 50s and 60s.
@@bettyottman1718There’s literal photos that say otherwise lol
It was SUCH a pleasure working on this video. Thank you Glamour and Condé Nast. ❤️❤️ Still obsessed with that 2010s look! Y’all made me feel like Hilary Duff 🤩
Spice Girls were not 2000s, they were at their peak in 1996-98. 00s was groups like Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Miss Teeq, Atomic Kitten etc.
I was about to say the exact same thing! 👍
That's my gripe too! Their 2000's was way more 90's; to me the 2000's would be all tracksuits especially the velour Juicy Couture ones. If you couldn't afford Juicy, you got a knockoff out of somewhere like Matalan
"100 years of british fashion"

The 1930's probably replaced the 20's do to us now being in the 2020's, so the timeline rundown had to be adjusted accordingly to the premise of "100 Years Of...". I feel so old, I remember when in the old vids they started on 1900s or the 1910s
When I think about 100 years ago, I still imagine Victorian/Edwardian fashion. The 1920s feel so modern to be a century ago..
The 1930’s to 1960’s I LOVE. So glamorous I want to dress like that
Right!? I always say this to my husband! I’m especially drawn to the 20s and 30s and would so love to be able to dress this was everyday! So beautiful, so glamorous 😍

the 1990s just looks like 2014 tumblr girls lmao
More like the 2014 tumbler girls dressed like it was the 90s
50th like on your comment
These series are really great and educational but I'm very disappointed that you did not mention Vivian Westwood in reference to the invention and popularization of 80s punk
Was it really Punk, or was it Goth ? A twist on Victorian Goth.... with modernity. Or is this what some people call as "metal" here in the UK...
20s? We're not even half way though the decade lol.
Which is why they should have done the 1920s 😅
@@genwilson7741 Exactly my thoughts! Pretty annoying 😅

The 70s/80s punk look was not accurate at all
No it wasn't! The Feathered Farrah do wasn't Punk at all!
It looked like the 90s
I expected Farrah Fawcett with fluffy hair and some princess diana inspirations for the 80s or something but I see 2022 instead💀
Yall are harsh asf u COULD just correct them if u know dont sit and complain for likes bro
Well SORRY they can't just be perfect all the time!
I’m living for the thumbnail because SPICE GIRLS STANS UNITE! We have a Mel B Moment ❤
YESS FINALLY A SPICE GIRLS FAN!
But why was this in the 2000s section??
Yes but why are they in the 2000s? Their peak was ‘96……
please do 100 years of male british fashion!!!!
The 50s and 00’s looks were my favorite 😍
I was expecting one of the models to wear a full tracksuit for the 2000s, anyone else? Nice video though.
Finally I LOVE THESE TYPE OF VIDEOS
The old British fashion was so cool tbh
I love vintage fashion and jewelry and other accessories
Omg, sameee!!
I love these. 100 years, and they start with the 30s?

No way you could wear something like that in the 50s.
Love so many of these looks!
100 years of british fashion by 5 minute craft
The 60's one is so cute~
Yesss tribute to Scary Spice in the thumbnail ✌🏽🇬🇧🤪
The 80s everyday wear wasn’t suits, it was black leggings,Doc martens and a Crombie coat.
So hold up they’re saying Diana DIDN’T influence UK fashion???
what-
I'm sure she would have influenced UK fashion more than anyone else
Nope apparently Diana only influenced American fashion.😂
please buy better quality clothing for those videos ,,,,, everything pre 70s look so cheap and modern
The undergarments on these videos are a joke. You have to wear proper foundation garments to get the right shape. It all looks modern when there’s modern under garments.
Amazing fashion 😍❤️🔥✨
been waiting for this one

I will NEVER accept the 1920s being left out of these now, ever!!! 😡

2020's could be the "clothes have no gender" trend. See pepole like Yungblud and his skirts, pink socks...
I just love these
Love the 30s,50s & 60s ❤
I used to dress like that in the 90's when I was a teen
2000s:Girls Aloud

A lot of girls across the globe inspired their outfits on television channels in the early 2000s
100% Thank-you for making this 😎👍
Every early 2000s girl group had colored tracksuits with their bras showing
"Member colors"

Pencil skirts!! Beautiful!
Why did we start in the 30s? 100 years ago was the 1920s.
Why did it start in the 40s? And why was scary spice in the 2000s? And where was scene fashion? So confused
Confused… how do you have 100 years of fashion starting in the 30’s?… we aren’t in the 2030’s yet

the 1930s and 1940s fashion is pretty accurate here but i wish i saw the 1920s fashion tho
I love 1940's style
i like the styles before the 60's.
Yup,some is accurate
can you do 100 years of british men's fashion
I love the 60s one
And the 70s
British fashion basically looks like American fashion based on the two videos they’ve done
Punk girls did not have long hair though, rather short and even (partially) shaved!
Where is the 1910s and 1920s fashon?!
I feel that during the great depression the 1930s outfit was not the norm
For the 1960s why not choose a model with long, slim legs to emphasize the mini skirt & boots ?
That’s pretty mean, she has great legs. Stop with the body shaming, especially when it makes no sense.
I’m more concerned that it isn’t accurate to the mod style at all. The girl is fine. Just give her a more accurate outfit.
@@mastersnet18 it's a fact, not body shaming.

I hoped to see more British designers but instead we had Dior, Chanel and Balenciaga
1960s thoo😍😍

Most of these look way too modern, it looks like u got all the video items at Asos or something
Where are the good old times? 😢
sport shoes with dresses are a travesty
Muito bom conteúdo desse canal
Challenge surprise
All of the looks look too conteporary in my opinion
1960s belly shirt & gogo boots. LMAO! The hippiesque gogo boot look was never a thing and belly shirts were mostly pool or beach wear.
Where are the full figured girls? It's not like there weren't full figured people throughout the ages....🙄🤦
1940s, 1980s, 1990s, 2010s.
The 50s and 70s are pretty. The 80 and looks are horrible and hopefully most British women didn't wear them.
Loveit 😊
Always too much focus on the rich and highe middle class in these videos. Show was everyone else wore as well.
2010 is when I was born, fashion had increased higher levels of stunning and beauty. Normal British culture is it started to be just standard.
What? Nothing about the Spice Girls outfit? Really?
Yeah, that curly do for the 70s just isn't Punk! Nice try tho!
WE WUZ BRITISH N SHEEEIIIIITTT
Ik this is random but can you do a friend ship test with millie and sadie
