***** Yeah sushi is really good, but it is expensive and often high amount of white rice. I prefer brown rice. And not to mention all the toxins in the sea now days and how they feed the fish :O
+Phenice Hanna (Pheeny24) My family is Japanese and we only eat sushi on special occasions, like birthdays or holidays. Or if there was a really good sale going on at Marukai. The 1985 and 1995 meals more accurately represent what we would eat on an average day.
I was born in 1995. I remember eating a lot of hamburger-helper, tacos(similar to these), and lots of freezer food(fish sticks, chicken nuggets, lasagna, tater tots). Dad would usually bbq on weekends. We'd have burgers, steak, or chicken legs, with pork&beans or corn on the cob. Good times. 😌
I so badly want to be vegan, but my family basically forces meat down my throat and the whole family is very into the annual hunting and fishing trips and openly talk bad about vegans. I wish my family would understand that I just want to be healthy and I care for animals. :c
Your parents are probably terrified that your desire to go vegan is a symptom of an eating disorder which would cause you to become malnourished. A vegan diet makes it much harder to get all the nutrients you need, especially for someone who is still growing - and that's assuming you DON'T have an eating disorder. Don't yell at your parents and don't argue with them... just keep listing the thought-out reasons why you want to be a vegan. It took me years to convince my mother that I wanted a birthday pie instead of a cake - this will be harder.

I am from Netherland and as a child we are the older type of meals (im 18 now) In netherland we have a "avgtje" wich stands for: Aardappelen (patatoes) Vlees (meat) Groente (vegetables) It often boiled patatoes and veggies with meat baked in far too much butter and the excess butter gets drizzled onto the patatoes. My favorite combo was/is: the huge meatballs my grandmother would make, boiled patatoes with the excess butter from the meat balls and boiled cauliflower with white creamy sauce and some grounded nutmeg sprinkled over it🤤🤤
My family and many of my friends have home cooked family dinner regularly, we only eat fast food when we're too busy to make dinner. Friday and/or Saturday we generally eat out or get fast food/fend for ourselves.

That tv dinner looks bomb af .. Lollll
Just in case anyone is wondering it is called a TV dinner because television was only on from 6-8 pm so instead of coming home and cooking dinner you'd heat up your TV dinner and put it on your TV tray and watch TV while you ate so you didn't miss anything
Tysm I learned smth new Bcz of you :)
Exactly who's family dinner are these. Regular families dont eat those
+Phenice Hanna (Pheeny24) it's more like what a single 25 yo eats
+Magnus Hansen I was going to say, as a 25 yo I would eat all of that LOL But sushi I could have every day
*****
Yeah sushi is really good, but it is expensive and often high amount of white rice. I prefer brown rice. And not to mention all the toxins in the sea now days and how they feed the fish :O
+Phenice Hanna (Pheeny24)
My family is Japanese and we only eat sushi on special occasions, like birthdays or holidays. Or if there was a really good sale going on at Marukai. The 1985 and 1995 meals more accurately represent what we would eat on an average day.
+Phenice Hanna (Pheeny24)
Totally agree... several of them looked thoroughly revolting and bland. 2015 stands waaaaaaay out from the rest! :D
Good times. 😌

Wait,1935 was during the Depression. How would the average family be able to afford cream and butter?
Victory Gardens?
alot of my family are farmers so maybe it was previlent to make your own cheese and butter out of goats/cows milk.
+Pandolar Bear you don't grow cream and butter you get it from milk
+Pandolar Bear Victory Gardens were during WWII. We didn’t enter the war until 1941.
umm they could been kind ah of wealthy family our they could owned a farm
so glad my family eats vegan in 2016
ChickenPotPyro it's much easier when the whole family eats healthy for sure!
Nutritarian > Vegan
yass me too
I so badly want to be vegan, but my family basically forces meat down my throat and the whole family is very into the annual hunting and fishing trips and openly talk bad about vegans.

Family dinners got just as rare as regular families.. Working women=no time to cook
Emma Queen yeh

I am from Netherland and as a child we are the older type of meals (im 18 now)
In netherland we have a "avgtje" wich stands for:
Aardappelen (patatoes)
Vlees (meat)
Groente (vegetables)
It often boiled patatoes and veggies with meat baked in far too much butter and the excess butter gets drizzled onto the patatoes.
My favorite combo was/is: the huge meatballs my grandmother would make, boiled patatoes with the excess butter from the meat balls and boiled cauliflower with white creamy sauce and some grounded nutmeg sprinkled over it🤤🤤
Before watching the video I'm expecting fast food for 2015
I am severely disappointed.
+WisdomAndWeirdness I know right? 1955's TV dinners were closer to real dinners of 2015 than what 2015 really was.
Clearly you don't know trends.
My family and many of my friends have home cooked family dinner regularly, we only eat fast food when we're too busy to make dinner. Friday and/or Saturday we generally eat out or get fast food/fend for ourselves.
I guess Im odd one out here. I cook supper every night for me and my boyfriend. I also make it be nutricious and delicious. We only eat take out maybe 1 or 2 times a month. (We're both in our early 30s and are both landscapers. (its important to eat healthy and stay fit-ish for our job.))
2015 is the healthiest! 😀 Also, loved the cheese fondue.
Who else was half expecting the 2015 meal to be McDonalds happymeal or some other fast food shit.
Sonics 😂💯💯 I would've been so happy.
