After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!
I bought a CZ 75 back in 1986, while stationed in Germany. I still have it and it still shoots perfect. I like the looks of the rifle. I hope they make it in 22 WM. I like the drop on the comb.
Here in the U.S. I worked in the retail and wholesale gun business. CZ weapons are top quality and we sold a fair amount of them. The biggest negative was that a lot of people were unfamiliar with them, so you really had to "sell" them on it. Nothing but praise for the guns from those who own them!
I know own 4 CZ European made.... .17 HMR, 22 Mag, .223 and .300 Win Mag.... Wont be buying anything else but CZ from now on... Best rifles that I have ever owned
My dad has pretty much the same gun and he recently said : i wish i had a silencer, so i could shoot in my backyard without bothering anyone^^ Just bought him one for Christmas =)
Love the rifle, very well made. CZ makes very fine arms. I have a cz 27 in 32 acp and has never failed not once. They use good quality steels and the tolerances are very close. Your rifle is very nice, thanks for sharing.
Ok, that all makes perfect sense. I'll have to try a few different types when I get my license. You've been over-and-above helpful mate, thank you so much! Definite subscriber here!
Love these rifles. Picked mine up for a steal ($130) a while back. Had a broken rear sight so I took off the front and put a 3x9 Simmons on it. At 100 yards a dime can cover the groups. When I get a chance I'll set it up for a press on suppressor.
Thanks for the video very nice rifle.and your English is better than most people that live in the USA .And before all you out there start commenting on that i was born and raised in the US.
chapiit08 I live in Ukraine. How do you hit a hare with a .22? Here we hunt in a way, you just walk along a treeline or long grass or a mown cornfield and they jump out and run like crazy. Last season I had seen only 2 hares and those rose up too far to shoot. I have seen a program though that there are a lot of rabbits on Islas Malvinas but they are not spooky and crawl around like turtles. Now that is hunters paradise.
I've never been to The Falklands, but depending where you are in Patagonia hares behave differently. For example, at the foot of the Andes, you find them in meadows and yes, they run like crazy but they rest nice and still at the bottom of ravines so if you have a good trained eye and walk softly you can spot them and shoot them at ranges within fifty meters with a rifle or even a handgun. In the steppe they are shot at as they run uphill usually out to seventy to a hundred meters. Difficult but spectacular if you connect. At dusk they sit still and with the sun behind you, you can spot them but they cannot make out what's in front of them; again seventy-five to hundred meter shots. Hunting at night is permitted as European hares are not endemic but are considered a plague and in some areas commercial hunters bag up to a hundred in a single night with a driver, a spotlight guy a shooter and a runner/pick up guy. Rabbits and hares are my favourite hunting and I looove the .22 of which I have several. My best shot was with a Ruger Single Six old model revolver with fixed sights at eighty meters using my mountain bike top tube as a rest. Cheers!
yevgenz i just wanted to say you have convinced me to buy a cz 513 basic in my area the farmer is illegal but the basic will suit me for a first gun and magazines are very common and relitevly inexpensive only 45 $ THX
that is so awesome, i wish my CZ452 had a threaded barrel. but then again, in America i would end up spending like $500+ on a suppressor after the $200 transfer fee or whatever the hell it is... great video!
Soundwave is not pushing behind subsonic loads as the sound barrier is not exceeded. It is pushing only behind supersonic projectiles and catches with them as those lose velocity and become subsonic, that makes them tumble ultimately. Search the net for the boat tailed bullets, those were invented in WW1 to counter that effect and be more effective at very long ranges.
Indeed, in CZ rimfire rifles the striker will not reach the breach if dry-firde it. Still I would recommend when dry-firing, do not close the bolt-handle completely, like to 3-4 o'clock when you look at it from the back, the cocking mechanism will soften the striker fall.
A very smart and well built rifle. I like the european hogs back stock, I have one on my Brno 452 made in 1989. My father has a 1958 Brno with the american stock and the rifle is as smooth as silk to operate while mine is still very tight to chamber a round. Another 20 years should have it just right. Regards.
Yevgenz,, nice review of your CZ. I must say I'm envious of your ability to own a suppressor. Very quiet! As you say CZ rifles are very good, rugged and well made. I have an old Brno model 4, basically the same action as on your rifle but with a heavy target barrel and target sights.
The best gun videos always start out showing folks that the gun is in fact unloaded. I don't doubt that you had done that already that and knew what you are doing but one can never over emphasize safety first when doing a demo for folks to learn.
steve butti No doubt it was checked and double checked. Safety rules should always be observed, but not exceed sanity threshhold. There was nobody in that direction for about 5 km. I have a friend who is a safety nut, it was a pain to be with him at the range. And then one day he was shooting his Wiechrauch air rifle at his dacha (summer house) backyard and hit a neighbour lady in the eye, eysight lost in that eye, bullet is still lodged in the eyesocket and the trial is still going on.
@xpissxbabyx Dimentionally.22Mag is a different cartridge, it will not chamber in CZ-513, .22lr and .22Mag are not interchangeable. My friend owns a CZ chambered for .22mag, and he does not shoot as often since the cartridge is 4 times more expensive. It is possible to chamber a .22lr in his rifle, but if fired, a lot of gas leak will occur, since the casing will rupture, to say it short it would be a dangerous practice.
Indeed, my friend purchased a newer model TOZ-99 semi-auto in .22, with a threaded muzzle and we used it with silencer and subsonics. However, it was much louder than the bolt action due to hot gases escaping from the chamber following ejected casing. I call that phenomenon "breech blast".
@qcking666 The speed of sound is roughly 340 metres per second (1,100 ft/s), if a bullet travels slower than that, the ammo is called subsonic. The report of such rounds can be effectively suppressed, if a bullet travels faster than the speed of sound it causes a supersonic crack which cannot be effectively muffled by any suppressor. Subsonics I used did around 290m/s.
Thank you! I was born in Poltava, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR and lived all my life in Ukraine, I have never been to any English-speaking country.
it sounds like a airgun lol, i have one of these sitting in my safe was curious if i should go buy ammo at the price everything is now, video made me want to go get some ammo for mine, tomorrow i will get some, thanks for the video!
I liked the video, one thing I would NOT suggest following; is releasing the action on an empty cylinder. A friend of mine had that practice and managed to create an indentation in the breech face. When it comes to this I'm old school. I can still hear my dad..."Son, you never EVER dry fire a 22. NEVER." And even though all my 22's are CZs I never EVER dry fire a 22.

+Umaxen 00 A friend of mine once gave me 3000rds of Soviet made .22 target ammo made in 1960 which he inherited from his deceased father. I have not had a single misfire with those, moreover, they were very accurate. Selling ammunition at a yard sale would be illegal here in Ukraine.
+yevgenz Not illegal here. I can look online, in the newspaper or go to my friends house and buy his used gun with a handshake. It's a good idea however to get a detailed, notarized bill of sale.. Bullets? No paper work...
+Umaxen 00 If you can't find .22 rounds? Buy a cheap box of .22 pellets (made for air rifles) and a box of Hilti construction machine charges which are .22 caliber. The Hilti charges come in various powers, some of which will propel the pellet at over 1700 Feet per second or 70% faster than a regular .22 bullet. The problem is, you have to reload every time, old black powder gun style where the charge and the bullet were separate.
To get a license to buy a rifle you have to be 25 (shotgun -21), go to county police section, fill out a form, present a certificate that you have not been convicted, mentally and physically fit , pay some fees. no the farmer has a treaded barrel as u know but the basic dose not has a 20 inch barrel is also cheaper and most of the parts are interchangeable between other bolt cz 22 s
WOW...when the suppressor you can barely here the shot. I wouldn't mind owning that weapon, but I suspect that would be impossible...some countries restrict weapon sales, do you know if an American can buy this riffle? Thank you for sharing this video sir
Very nice bolt action.22. Very efficient suppressor. If only it was as easy to own a suppressor in the USA. Let's hope someday that the SHARE Act will be passed.
+vegasbob007 In fact it is easy to change 5 rd mags in it, it drops free into your hand as soon as you press the mag release button. I used to have a plastic 10 rounder for it, and hated it as it stuck out as an ugly stick.
Well, you sold me on it. I just ordered mine and a scope to go with it about two hours ago. I hope it's all you've said it is. I'm sure it will be fine, all CZ fire arms get good reviews from their owners.
I’ve got one there brill little gun very good finish and really accurate , mine would not use cci though only 22 over ever owned that won’t I had to take 500 back as it wouldn’t function at all but only use Winchester subs now , can use cci stingers though which are as good as a 22 magnum
He paid equal of 420 USD for the rifle and around 60 USD for the suppressor.
Dang and I just spent $15,000 kitting up a fully loaded sig mcx virtus tacops…

What a nice man, he gets about the business, no bullshit, gives the information and demo, polite and professional, well done and thank you.
This is the most popular and prolific .22 rifle in India. I have the Brno mod 2 second generation, made in Czechoslovakia. Crisp and clean..... cheers

Beautiful rifle. I have a CZ 512 22WMR 'tactical'.... awesome craftsman work, I love it.
That suppressor was a really quite. Great Video. Thanks for the "Tutorial"
Ok, that all makes perfect sense. I'll have to try a few different types when I get my license.

A good, no nonsense, utilitarian rifle. It would pay for its self in a week in my country. Thanks for posting.
ausfoxhunter Commercial hunting rabbits?
chapiit08 We have hares here, but they are very spooky and fast. Nigh impossible to hit with a .22. I always use shotgun for that purpose.
yevgenz Where is here? Where I live, Patagonia, we hun hares with the .22 but perhaps is only possible due to the terrain. We hunt at dawn and dusk.
chapiit08 I live in Ukraine. How do you hit a hare with a .22? Here we hunt in a way, you just walk along a treeline or long grass or a mown cornfield and they jump out and run like crazy. Great looking rifle, high quality and great workmanship, old school goodie!
CZ firearms are worth the money you pay for them.Good quality assurance, great guns!
I don't know anything about guns, but the bolt sounds as smooth as butter.

Beautiful rifle, thank you for sharing the difference between the subsonic/supr and the high velocity rounds. =)
É o sonho de todo caçador um rifle desse aí 👍👍👍 linda arma 👏👏👏Deus abençoe a todos. Amém

That is awesome. I wish a suppressor was legal for me to own. If it was, I'd definitely acquire one.
I have a 513, and a 452. They shoot very close to one another. The 513 is the one I take to the woods.
My CZ513 has proven to be very accurate. I've won competitions with it
Looks like a great .22! Well done video.

I really like all the CZ rifles that I have seen, I have my eye on the 452 trainer for hunting, protecting the garden and plinking.
Excellent rifle! That suppressor makes the report as quiet as a 35mm camera!
Yevgenze - Very enjoyable and informative video! Thank you. I agree your CZ farmer is a very fine rifle.

Nice looking firearm . Just ua tid bit of advice i use Winchester ammo never ever had any accuracy with Remington ammo .
Good man for keeping that finger clear of the trigger when the phone rings.
Thx for your excellent explanation

Hey Thank you, for your info on the cz rimfire rifles. I love my cz trainer.
That suppressor makes it sound like a pellet rifle, that's awesome!
what us price
what is price?
@xpissxbabyx
I am sure you can buy such rifle in Canada, only American version is called CZ 513 Basic, not Farmer.
Thanx for subscribing.
Thank you for showing us this rifle you like. I recently bought a very similar CZ 22 bolt action rifle and I intend to keep it.
I liked the video, one thing I would NOT suggest following; is releasing the action on an empty cylinder. A friend of mine had that practice and managed to create an indentation in the breech face. Thereafter it was very difficult to extract the spent cartridges and the breech had to be machined by a gunsmith.
+Ray Smyth This rifle (and many others)t is made so that if you dry-fire, the firing pin does not touch the breech face, but still, frequent dry-firing may lead to crystallisation of the firing pin and it may break one day during normal use.

That is a good point. Still dryfiring even a centerfire will crystallize a firing pin and it WILL break eventually.
+yevgenz
Oh definitely. I didn't state it in my post but I don't dry fire any firearm. Just the sound of that click is like fingers on a chalkboard
Fred Fournier
Good point and timely reminder. My understanding is that the copper/beryllium alloy pins are much more resistant to shattering/cracking. But why take the chance for no good reason.
LIke you, I can still hear my pappy giving a mean glance my way and saying, “Don’t do that, ever” and correcting my errant ways.
Carry on.
The woodwork is very nice.
shooting it without a suppressor sounds like ripping a peice of paper really fast, and great vid !!
I know of a process to smooth-out your bolt stroke, I find it helpful to mix gun-oil and toothpaste together, apply an even coat on the bolt and receiver interior, then go about your shooting routine for the day, in time, you will see a marked difference for the better..
Not bad. Back in 1990-ish, I walked into my local Walmart and was able to buy a Ruger 10/22 rifle (10 shot semi-automatic) for around $210?? Selling ammunition at a yard sale would be illegal here in Ukraine.

ive always wanted wanted one of these. they are very easy on the eyes
Hi there, really great, I got one today because of you!!
Can you please send the reference of the suppressor?
tx
Looking to buy a CZ and found this video very interesting. Thanks
Good review. Eye protection protects against ricochets also.
lol the bolt makes more sound than the shot it's self that's pretty sweet
When you're phone ringtone is louder than ur gun.. u know it's quite..
I found out that Remington are not the quietest subsonics. Just yesterday I shot Winchester subsonics and those were even quieter.
My father also had .22 bore a rifal,
Winchester in lever action
CZ makes some great firearms

Visited Australia and NZ last year (2018) finally!
For sure, I've had air rifles for years- time to upgrade! Looking forward to it!
@daltonsbadboy
I am sure you can buy such rifle in the US, but you will have to get a separate permission for a silencer.
@itsmaxthemaster
In fact you do, search the net and you will find info that you need hearing protection from unsilenced .22LR
The noice level would be well above 85db, which is the harmful limit for human hearing.
cuanto te costo hacerle el hilo en el cañon del rifle para colocar el silenciador ???
Where are u from? all CZ rifles are nice guns, I have a 453 Varmint, but in Brazil sound suppressors are not legal.
Ok, interesting point about the sound wave... I would ask then, what is the point of them if they aren't as accurate? Louder and less accurate seems a bit pointless to me!

Nice video. This is my 100th favourited video.
@VivaLaBamUrDead
No, not all of them are threade to accept a silencer. But may be you may order one that has a threaded barrel.
That IS a nice rifle and suppressor
@yevgenz
Very nice rifle, but what year was it made?
Also, I think the phone ringing shows how quietly your rifle fires.
Hello to US! I have the same eqipment in FRANCE, (near Bordeaux). I'ts a fantastic equipment - rifle + silencer + remington .22 !!!
Thank you, but I live in Ukraine.
Great video and that was a really nice rifle. Congratulations, thanks for the video. Best regards
Great video, Any reference on the suppressor thanks?
Thanks mate, it is no-name Chinese make, still got it and it works.
love your style of video, subbed
no the farmer has a treaded barrel as u know but the basic dose not has a 20 inch barrel is also cheaper and most of the parts are interchangeable between other bolt cz 22 s
From what I know, Basic and Farmer 513 are the same models with different name.
WOW...when the suppressor you can barely here the shot. I wouldn't mind owning that weapon, but I suspect that would be impossible...some countries restrict weapon sales, do you know if an American can buy this riffle? Thank you for sharing this video sir
Spain is a great country, been in Malaga, Benalmadena Costa and Madrid. Love Spain.
Very nice bolt action.22. Very efficient suppressor. If only it was as easy to own a suppressor in the USA. Let's hope someday that the SHARE Act will be passed.
My favorite 22 Rifles gun
Can you get magazines that are longer,it's seems a magazine would be more difficult to change if it is flush to the rifle's receiver .

In fact it is easy to change 5 rd mags in it, it drops free into your hand as soon as you press the mag release button. I used to have a plastic 10 rounder for it, and hated it as it stuck out as an ugly stick.
Excelente rifle Es posible utilizar municion 23 magnum.Gracias.
Beutiful rifle congratulations and thank you for the video God bless you
Well, you sold me on it. I just ordered mine and a scope to go with it about two hours ago. I hope it's all you've said it is. I'm sure it will be fine, all CZ fire arms get good reviews from their owners.
Howdy from Texas.....
Great video buddy, very nice rifle.
Parabéns meu amigo vc tem uma 22 de verdade Like garantido
wow. nice rifle. great video!!!
Nice video my friend. I noted your cell phone ring was louder than the CZ with subsonics and suppressor.
I’ve got one there brill little gun very good finish and really accurate , mine would not use cci though only 22 over ever owned that won’t I had to take 500 back as it wouldn’t function at all but only use Winchester subs now , can use cci stingers though which are as good as a 22 magnum
