Sears used to have something like this way back in the 70's and 80's, I think it was possibly made bt Savage. I circled it in the book and wished for it every Christmas.
This is very interesting, especially due to the "Russian survival weapon" title. I have rock climbed for around thirty years with a Doctor friend. On one occasion, on the way to a climbing venue, we had to make a detour to drop off a gun he owned at a gunsmiths workshop. The gun in question, he informed me, was called a "drilling" and was a side by side twelve bore shotgun with a 7,62 rifle barrel underneath. The gun in question had been given to my Doctor friend by a guy who had walked from northern US to Russia . . . overland . . . or rather over sea ! Across the Bearings sea!!!!! Using the gun to hunt to survive along the way .. . ! Remarkable gun. Remarkable guy. Remarkable story.
Last I heard Baikal was being distributed in the USA by Remington. That was last year when I was in Florida I stopped in a gun shop and the guy was surprised I had even heard of Baikal!!! That's a really awesome gun.

the thing about the Baikal is that license and modernized variants are still in production, i happen to own one for example Guľobrok, the ZH 403 specifically, it made the concept of different calibers even better and more customizable
MP-94 - a family of Russian-made rifles The IZH-94 "Taiga" combination shotgun was developed by gunsmith A. I. Matveev in 1992 based on the design of the IZH-27M double-barreled shotgun. It is produced at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant. Until September 2008, the gun was produced under the name IZH-94 "Taiga", later it was renamed MP-94 "Taiga". In October 2019, at the Arms & Hunting 2019 arms exhibition held in Moscow, Techkrim CJSC presented a demonstration sample of the TK527 combined rifle based on the IZH-27 (a constructive analogue of the IZH-94 with a Picatinny rail). The upper trunk is smooth, payday or chock; The lower barrel is replaceable rifled for various cartridges of the main calibers: 5.56×45 mm NATO, 7.62×39 mm, 7.62×51 mm (.308 Winchester), 7.62×54 mm R, 9.3×74 mm R, etc. At the same time, the design of the weapon does not exclude the use of two smooth or two rifled barrels, and the rifled barrels can be for different ammunition. Materials - weapon steel and walnut wood. There is a chamfer on the muzzle of the bullet barrel to protect the easily vulnerable beginning of the rifling. The trunks are blued to increase their resistance to the adverse effects of the environment, the smooth trunk is chrome-plated from the inside. Both barrels are fixed together by soldering or coupling couplings, which allow the barrels to be adjusted relative to each other, which ensures the perfect behavior of the barrels during the shot. Horizontal adjustment is carried out at the factory and after that the barrels are fixed, the ability to adjust the average point of hit vertically is provided to the end user. The trigger mechanism is traditional: the triggers are hidden, after hitting the firing pin they become a safety cocking. Cocking of the triggers occurs when unlocking the barrels of the weapon. Variants and modifications: IZH-94 "Sever" is a combined rifle, the upper barrel is rifled for 5.6-mm caliber cartridges, the lower one is smooth 20-caliber with a muzzle narrowing of 0.5 mm. The weight of the weapon is 3.0 kg, the resource is 12.5 thousand shots. IZH-94 "Taiga" is a combined rifle, the upper barrel is rifled for 7.62 mm caliber cartridges, the lower one is smooth 12-gauge. IZH-94 "Scout" is a lightweight combined rifle (weight reduced to 2.76 kg), the upper barrel is rifled for the cartridge.22 LR, bottom smooth .410 caliber. IZH-94 "Express" - double-barreled rifle TK527 is a combined rifle manufactured by CJSC Techkrim (the upper barrel is chambered for 12/76 mm, the lower one is with a Lancaster drill for a 9.6/53 Lancaster cartridge), a Picatinny sight bar is installed.
The history of this weapon has started and continues nowadays only on the hunting basis. It is made on the base of the IZH-27 shotgun, the modern model of all Baikal guns is "MP" instead of "IZH", but it's just letters. I'm a russian hunter and i own one of these in 20 gauge (20х76+5,6х39). This gun has a big range of combinations in 12 gauge (223rem, 7,62x39, 54R, 308win, 30-06) and 20 gauge(22lr, 22wmr, 5,6x39). All the modern guns have "magnum" smoothbore barrels (x76) with changable chokes.
the reason it doesn't eject automatically would be so if you have shot the shotgun but not the 7.62 round i would assume or vise versa, so it doesnt waste good ammo, say if you shot a deer with the shotgun and didnt shoot the 7.62
Craigx71 I've never been out in the field hunting before, so I cannot speak from experience. This seems disrespectful when I say it, but just by curiosity....don't they / can't they just bury the emtys? can you say market for Biodegradable shell casings!?
Kevin Krueger What we do at my house is keep track of how many rounds have been fired and then just go and pick them all up after we're all done shooting. Sometimes we miss some .22 shells, but we do our best to pick up all the spent rounds.
I'm from Sweden and this kind of break action rifles are common here we uses it for driven Hunt on rodeer and in some cases the roder apperes in like maybe 80yards and then you will use the bullet. The most common is 7x62R 223 is hard to load in this kind of rifels becuase it is not a R round
Not exactly "rare" here in EU, as said. This kind of "dual caliber" rifles are known as "Drillings" here. There's even versions with more than 3 barrels and calibers in one. They're pretty handy in countries where you need a separated license for each of your guns, and don't want to spend tons of time and money trying to get one gun for each caliber.
It would be just fine for a foraging gun. Ranges up to 100 yards with Brenneke 12 ga slugs, and soft point 7.62x39 for deer. Assorted shot loads for other game to 30 yards and a FMJ bullet for maybe turkey. A lot of options as a wilderness survival gun. And it has potential for very large game such as moose or bear with proper ammo selection. Jack of all trades in a pinch.
These are pretty decent hunting guns. Often hunters who choose these sort of guns, hunt black or wood grouse. It's sold, at least in Finland, as Baikal Taiga. Usually rifle barrel is chambered in .222, .308 or 7.62x54R. I have not seen 7.62x39 sold here, but that would be interesting choice.
Love those combo guns. Reminds me of my Savage Model 24 .357/20 gauge. I would like to have one of those Baikal guns, it would be nice next to my M6 Scout in 22mag/.410, Henry Survival, and the Savage, and the Ruger 10/22 takedown. I really like take down guns, looks like that one would break down pretty quick as well. Love your videos, hopefully this message finds you feeling well today. Here in Finland (Neighbour to Russia) i´ts very common to have theese combination guns. I have got a Tikka M77K with 12/70 and .222rem combined. Love that gun when equiped with an American Trijicon 1-4x24 scope, amber triangle!
I had a over and under Stevens 20 Gage over and 22 mag under when I was younger a good rabbit and bird gun I live in northern California lots of river bottoms t to hunt in
I had a chance to use a Savage .22LR/20 gauge over and under combo during a dove hunt many years ago. Of course I didn't use the .22, but the 20 gauge was spot on and I took several birds with it. Nice little combination!
The 7.62x39 is a good dear round equal to a 150 grain 30-30 and it shoots flatter than a 30-30 because it has a spire point bullet. The round is good out to 300 yards. It works great on hogs too.
@@alanbrown2135 If, with similar bullet weights, they started with the same velocity (they don't) then a 7.62x39 with equal bullet weight would shoot flatter from having less drag. But since in similar bullet weights a 7.62x39 is already going slower at muzzle than a 30-30 is at 75-100 yds.......it has a lot of ground to overcome before its trajectory starts going flatter. It only starts to overtake in velocity at like 150 yds-ish and in total overall drop (since it started so much slower) at 250 yds-ish. Since those ranges are at the limit of where those two rounds are used for deer, 30-30 is actually flatter shooting within the deer hunting ranges of the two rounds.
@@alanbrown2135 Not sure if maybe you just didn't read..yeah, I literally said it had less drag. But the reason less drag helps flatten trajectory is just because it helps keep speed longer. Bullets drop at a constant rate, so flatness of trajectory at any moment is based on the speed. 7.62x39 loses its speed slower, but it also starts much slower. Meaning that for a certain amount of time, the 30-30 has more velocity and shoots flatter. That's roughly out to 150 yds before the 7.62x39 surpasses in speed, and then 250 yards before that newly gained speed advantage ends up surpassing it in less total drop. Like said, 30-30 shoots flatter (i.e. has less drop at all given ranges) out to about 250 yards...and since neither of those are used at those distances commonly for deer that means it shoots flatter for deer hunting. Fact, not negotiable. Any hot loading you do doesn't change that. You can hot load a 30-30 just as easily. I have no problem with 7.62x39 for deer (I've literally used it myself). Nor am I a 30-30 fanboy (literally do not own one). Your specific statements about it vs 30-30 are just plain factually false though.
reminds me of the "Drilling" a german weapon of WW2 supplied to the Luftwaffe in case a plane goes down but the pilot survives. the only difference is that the "Drilling" has 2 shotgun barrels and one for rifle rounds.
Really cool channel. I hope to make it to the US one day. I'd love to meet cool dudes like these guys. They remind me of the older aussie blokes I grew up knowing and looking up to. I'm definitely subscribed
When I was 18 first buying rifles (only 10 years ago) These were in every gun store, cabbalas and bass pro, just like the $99 mosins and sporterized saigas. Russian stuff was everywhere
I have one of these in 223 instead of 7.62x39. Pretty accurate gun considering. It comes in 308 and 30-06 also so everyone calm down about the 54R. You can also get chokes for it, it has a scope mount, front sight is adjustable for elevation and rear sight for windage. It also has 2 dove tails so you can move the rear sight forward or backward. Another neat thing is on the front hand guard you can pull a little lever and break the gun in half for packing it around.
Here I have one in 12/76 and .222 Because here the .223 is heavily restricted ("military caliber", same story for the 7.62x39) so they are chambered in .222 instead
@@exofuge2840 yup, found one for cheap in 12/76 + .222, bought it ^^ ammo are expensive (around 1€ each) so I had to start reloading them though, components are cheap since except the case it's the same than .223, so it's very profitable to reload them. I estimated my Lee reloading tool will be repaid in like 85 ammo (I was already reloading before, so I just have to worry about the reloading tools)
Sears used to offer something similar in their cataolgue back in the early 80's and as a kid, that was my dream gun. It was on my Christmas list every year from age 10 to 12 but I never got it but i did receive a Ruger 10/.22 when I was 12 and it was one of the happiest Christmas's that I can remember. When I thought things could get no better, I received a Redfield 3-10x scope for my birthday in January and it has been one of my favorite rifles ever since...
This is a Baikal model IZH-94,these retail currently at Cabela's for $650.00 and are available in many rifle combinations.(the very best one is 7.62 N.A.T.O .308 Win.)
The biggest issue is the heavy trigger pull on both barrels Bigdaddy. The second issue is the typical shoulder busting recoil from 12ga.barrel side.(2-3/4"-3"mag.buckshot/slug loads,20ga.would be better)
8lbs 6oz handles the 12 g pretty well. I agree the butt pad is a hard rubber but I have no problem with 3" number 4-shot. Slugs can sting after a few rounds, but so will most other shotties. This is truly a unique combo rifle. Trigger, yes, it is what is is. My old eye's are happy to see 4" groups at 100yrds using a red dot. I purchased mine for $440 and change 4 years ago. That said, I will keep this gun, shoot this gun, and get my monies worth dang it! Add the 22LR adapter and this thing is priceless!
+Bobby H It is ironic,I named myself"4-gauge"because I'm always trap/sleet shooting and I kinda wondered if ever if anyone has ever shot trap with a 4-gauge?.That would be hilarious to watch.
I had the same issue,so I slicked up the trigger on my .308x12ga. Baikal and its livable now...just use some hard ark stones and you will like the diff.
As a kid I had a 16-gauge, side by side with double triggers. One day I pulled both triggers at the same time and besides getting a hard kick to the shoulder, it also cracked the wooden stock.
@@Ethan-pt5ed He is not saying it to have it be in his standards, he is saying it because it is a Russian word, it should be said and pronounced in Russian. Your comment is quite ignorant.
Back in early 80's I had a piece marked as vostok chambered in 16 gauge and 7.62x39.. The seller had another that was 12gauge and 6.5 swede.. I couldn't afford both, so took the best condition..
Did you know that on some of the Baikal shotguns there is a little catch just in front of the trigger. It allows you to turn the ejector on or off. I don't know if your gun has that option but its worth checking. Its one of the little known things about these Russian guns.
My granddad used to have one of these, but with the barrels joined throughout - so it made a more flush look. I loved shooting that thing... He also used to self load shotgun shells, to create his own slugs, sort of.
@@scottstevens4958 so "little hole" immediately sounds like pedophilia to you? How come it can't just be a gay thing? Can't regular adults have little holes too? In your mind I guess little hole is a way to refer to children's buttocks or privates? Way to ruin my jokes you fucking idiot.
Reminds me of a gun my dad inherited from his grandfather which he had ordered through a hardware store sometime in the early 50's I believe. It was a 16ga. over a .222 & made in Austria & had gorgeous engraving on both sides of the chamber. He paid around $800 for it which, of course, was quite expensive in those days. His granddaddy, however, greatly devalued it by drilling & tapping holes in it to mount a scope.
I have this gun in OU 12 ga. It was sold through Remington. The bluing on these guns is usually pretty thin and they can rust easily if not wiped down afte a day in hot dove field. Yours appears to be in excellent shape. Also the screw in choke tubes are very thin and proprietary to the manufacturer.
A Over Under double barrel pheasant gun is a very popular choice 😁and it is sad nowdays the finish on new guns isn’t nearly as high quality as the older bluing …. Not unless you spend some money on a nice browning or beretta
Stevens/Savage made these years ago in various cal/ga. combos, I have a model 24B .22 over .410 combo I found in a pawn shop about 30 yrs ago,,,,best small game gun I ever had.
From the TP-82 made for astronauts to protect them when they landed in the Siberian wilderness. Thers was a double barrel 32 gauge 7.56, short pistol with removable stock tht doubled as a machete
I had the Ithica 12g/.222 combo many years ago, great gun. I put a weaver scope on it and after 3 different mounts I settled on a solid milled mount because everything else just moved too much after every time firing the 12g.
Savage made these guns way back in the early 1970s. I had one that was chambered for 30-30 on top, and 20 gauge shotgun on the bottom. The twin barrels make it extremely heavy and I did not like carrying it around much. The theory back in the day was the 30-30 could be used for deer if a longer shot was needed, or the 20 gauge (buckshot) would be the choice if the animal was within 75 yards.
The 7.62x39 round is absolutely a great deer and elk round they even make a clip for the AK-47 for hunting it's 5 rounds and it looks so weird in the gun also
I have a MAK90 with a five round magazine, H&R with a 410 and a 5.56 barrels, Taurus 45/410 pistol, etc., etc. Never thought much about these when Remington imported them 20+ years ago. But oh wow now!
I have 2 savage arms over and under. One in 20g/.22mag and the other in 20g/222 rem. They are both really good shooters. Here in the states the 20g/.22mag is a great small game gun.
Yeah, I also had a Savage o/u years ago. Mine was .22 over .410. They were somewhat crudely made...but decent. Back in the late 70s it sold for less than $50
I had one similar over in Germany. I went to hunting school there and got my German hunting license which is extremely hard for a non-citizen to do. I went and bought myself what they call a BACHDRILLING or a three barrels gun it had a 12 gauge shotgun and a 30-06 barrel and also a 22 barrel
I have a Drilling, too. I put into the right Shotgunbarrel, a plug-in barrel for 0.22lfb. So I have one barrel 12 gauge, one 7 x 57 Rifle and one 0.22lfb Rifle. You can pull of the plug-in barrel, then you have two 12ga. Shotgunbarrels and the 7X57 R rifle. My english is not the best but I hope it´s understandable^^. It´s a great universal weapon but very heavy... I don´t use it very often but it´s nice to have... You can buy more plug in barrel: For example 9mm Luger or 0.22 Magnum, ... You can attach a bag at the Rifle stock to carry the different plug in barrels If it comes to a survival Situation it´s very good because you can use different calibers. Greetz from Göteborg and merry Christmas. Stay healthy! Schöne Weihnachten und bleibt gesund! Ha en fin jul och var frisk!
I love this gun for what it is: A beautifully crafted gun for hunting, particularly small game. I'm just very used to seeing 7.62x39 in at least semi automatic, that I miss it. Particularly if you miss...which I probably would. Very beautiful though. I love seeing a well made anything, not just guns, that you can tell whoever made it, put love into their work.
Great set up. I have had the Savage 24 T in 223/12 Ga and the Savage 24F 30-30/12ga then I found the Valmet combo in 30-06/12ga and that became my go to Canada winter camping survival gun, I also got a Savage 410 er which lets the 12 Ga shoot 410 shot shells took it with me for years with out any problems at the border because it was considered a bush pilots survival gun and was not a military style weapon. love the fact that the scope ring set up rezeros when taken off and put back on the weapon.
Успокойтесь. Это дрянь, а не ружьё. Мало того, что дубина, но крайне не надёжно и сохранило все недостатки ИЖ27. Нижний ствол постоянно даёт осечки, верхний сдвоенные выстрелы и т.д.

7.62x39 soft point is an excellent deer round up to 100 yards in bush or plains. Its balisticly similar to a 30-30.
the thing about the Baikal
is that license and modernized variants are still in production, i happen to own one
for example
Guľobrok, the ZH 403 specifically, it made the concept of different calibers even better and more customizable
MP-94 - a family of Russian-made rifles
The IZH-94 "Taiga" combination shotgun was developed by gunsmith A.
The upper trunk is smooth, payday or chock;
The lower barrel is replaceable rifled for various cartridges of the main calibers: 5.56×45 mm NATO, 7.62×39 mm, 7.62×51 mm (.308 Winchester), 7.62×54 mm R, 9.3×74 mm R, etc.
Variants and modifications:
IZH-94 "Sever" is a combined rifle, the upper barrel is rifled for 5.6-mm caliber cartridges, the lower one is smooth 20-caliber with a muzzle narrowing of 0.5 mm.
IZH-94 "Express" - double-barreled rifle
TK527 is a combined rifle manufactured by CJSC Techkrim (the upper barrel is chambered for 12/76 mm, the lower one is with a Lancaster drill for a 9.6/53 Lancaster cartridge), a Picatinny sight bar is installed.
Interesting. I have the ‘scout’ model. I like it for a camp rifle. Lots of versatility in Ammo choices with .22lr and .410.
Do you know what barrels fit on it izh27m or izh27em. I have 12guage 7/57 looking for second set of 12guage o/u
Hey I enjoyed reading ,ur in fo do u have a e-mail I could get back to ,I'm not a that savvy on the computer or ph.,I'd like to ask some questions
Love your videos, you're always happy and positive and excited and it makes me get excited about the gun too! Thanks Hoffman
+Alec Minnick very kind of you to say. Thank you
The history of this weapon has started and continues nowadays only on the hunting basis.
У меня тоже 27 экспортный 70 годов выпуска
I've used a 7.62x39 for years deer hunting. My favorite caliber
We love you Big Daddy.
Watch the phrasing there!
Woah... calm down...
youssef yahya يا عمي هاهاهاها
Since 7.62x39 is almost like de 30-30, then yes, you can hunt deer with it
I keep coming back to this because reloading the gun is so satisfying
I love this design. CZ had over under like this before. This is definitely the superb pair.
the reason it doesn't eject automatically would be so if you have shot the shotgun but not the 7.62 round i would assume or vise versa, so it doesnt waste good ammo, say if you shot a deer with the shotgun and didnt shoot the 7.62
I was thinking the same thing
Craigx71 That does make a lot of sense
Craigx71 I've never been out in the field hunting before, so I cannot speak from experience. This seems disrespectful when I say it, but just by curiosity....don't they / can't they just bury the emtys? can you say market for Biodegradable shell casings!?
Kevin Krueger What we do at my house is keep track of how many rounds have been fired and then just go and pick them all up after we're all done shooting. Sometimes we miss some .22 shells, but we do our best to pick up all the spent rounds.
garrisonaw We put down a carpet piece. My friend uses a tarp. I just pick them up.
"When you have to shoot. Shoot don't talk!" Tuco from the Good the Bad and the Ugly.
Beautiful rare gun, I would like to see a 20 gage x .223 too.
Drillings are with three barrels allways and vierlings has four barrels. So this Baikal is not a drilling.
This is at best a zwilling...
okay

It would be just fine for a foraging gun. Ranges up to 100 yards with Brenneke 12 ga slugs, and soft point 7.62x39 for deer. Assorted shot loads for other game to 30 yards and a FMJ bullet for maybe turkey. A lot of options as a wilderness survival gun. And it has potential for very large game such as moose or bear with proper ammo selection. Jack of all trades in a pinch.
Awesome farmers rifle. Even 20g and a 22 magnum would be cool. Nice find big daddy
7.62 offers amazing range and penetration however it lacks in expansion at great distances
In soviet Russia, a shotgun is a rifle and a rifle is a shotgun.

Excellent piece. I like the way you have the range setup. Very clean and systematic placement of the targets
The 7.62x39 has almost exactly the same power range as the old 30-30 a great deer round.
Sweet, confused shotgun/rifle pie!!
If you have any additional information about this firearm, please add it to the comments. Thank you.
it might still be made but we can't get em because of Obama's import ban unfortunately
We love you so much BigDaddy.. as well... Love your laugh too... lol..

In Poland we call it Kniejówka ^^
A rifle/shotgun like this is something most old fashion hunters use in Germany...nothing too special in Europe
nothing too special here in the US either, I guess the guys on this channel don't get around much! lol
Sawyer Rob Good to know :D
a lot of us in the US grow up with the Savage version of this gun, the Savage 24. Great little gun.
I've had a Savage model 24 for over 20 years. .222/20 gauge. Top little rifle.
Combination guns are not old fashion, they are very practical hunting weapons.
The Ultimate survival gun:
A single shot shotgun, and a single shot rifle.

Take care of yourself Bigdaddy, lots of us guys your sons age enjoy watching you shoot and have fun. Especially if their situation is like mine and can no longer shoot with Dad. And I know little daddy wasn't in this video (haven't seen him in the recent ones and am not sure why), haven't went back and seen when Jason started with you, good to see you have someone helping you out and whatnot.
excellent find ! Great combo, I'd buy it with out a second thought.👍
Here in Finland (Neighbour to Russia) i´ts very common to have theese combination guns. I have got a Tikka M77K with 12/70 and .222rem combined. Love that gun when equiped with an American Trijicon 1-4x24 scope, amber triangle!
Same in Norway!
A bit far but same in france

Also very popular in Poland

Yup they were around when I was a youngster. Pretty common in my early days 00 buckshot with 222 would be a better all rounder
good, expanding 7.62x39 is a fine close range deer round, its similar to 30.30
keep your shots to 150 yards or less, and it does the job well.
Xvideo
One of my favorite guns was a 1959 Savage .22 over .410. My grandfather gave it to me as my first gun.
It's about 20% less energy than a 30-30. A 7.62x39 at muzzle is about what a 30-30 is at 75-100 yds.
@@1BeGe 20% doesn't make the. 30-30 better if it doesn't shoot as flat as the 762x39.
@@1BeGe iThe pointed bullet is all ways going to have less drag them the round point.I bump my loads up for my Rossi 762 single shot.
I would love to get my hands on this firearm. It would be perfect to leave at the cottage. Very nice.
You own a cottage?
james ranger seriously? A cottage?
Cottages are bad ass
Fuck your cottage
Wow. What is that supposed to mean. I am laughing at this comment. Really laughing.
reminds me of the "Drilling" a german weapon of WW2 supplied to the Luftwaffe in case a plane goes down but the pilot survives. the only difference is that the "Drilling" has 2 shotgun barrels and one for rifle rounds.
Really cool channel. I hope to make it to the US one day. I'd love to meet cool dudes like these guys. They remind me of the older aussie blokes I grew up knowing and looking up to. I'm definitely subscribed

Where could I obtain One?
Here I have one in 12/76 and .222
Because here the .223 is heavily restricted ("military caliber", same story for the 7.62x39) so they are chambered in .222 instead
@@giovannipomarico2035 you still got one ?
@@exofuge2840 yup, found one for cheap in 12/76 + .222, bought it ^^
ammo are expensive (around 1€ each) so I had to start reloading them though, components are cheap since except the case it's the same than .223, so it's very profitable to reload them.
I estimated my Lee reloading tool will be repaid in like 85 ammo (I was already reloading before, so I just have to worry about the reloading tools)
I've never seen that rifle before! What a neat instrument!
What an elegant weapon, beautiful for Russian craftsmanship sake.
Hey Big Daddy, missed you at Shot this year. Love this gun!
Just wasn't able, maybe next year. Thanks my friend.
We have tons of those in Germany from lots of manufacturers. Very venerable hunting rifles. Regular thing called Büchsflinte.
Ku Klux Karl That's cool
Sears used to offer something similar in their cataolgue back in the early 80's and as a kid, that was my dream gun. It was on my Christmas list every year from age 10 to 12 but I never got it but i did receive a Ruger 10/.22 when I was 12 and it was one of the happiest Christmas's that I can remember. When I thought things could get no better, I received a Redfield 3-10x scope for my birthday in January and it has been one of my favorite rifles ever since...
Love it!
I had a 22/410 combo a few years ago, but this thing is GODLY.
I had 1 also. I knew a collector who had I think a 20 gauge/ 308 .
What if: 10ga and .50 BMG, now that's a gun.
Nah more like a 155mm and a 950 cal.

+4 gauge you'd call a 12g "shoulder busting" while your name is 4 gauge here? Just pointing out some irony.
Izh should be read as Izh, not i-z-h, because it is an abbreviated name, originating from the city of Izhevsk, where this weapon is produced.

Did you know that on some of the Baikal shotguns there is a little catch just in front of the trigger. It allows you to turn the ejector on or off. I don't know if your gun has that option but its worth checking. Its one of the little known things about these Russian guns.

What a great combo gun. I have an old H&R that is a 20g over a .22 mag. It's a great compact survival gun and the 20g is chambered for a 3 in mag.
My granddad used to have one of these, but with the barrels joined throughout - so it made a more flush look. I loved shooting that thing... He also used to self load shotgun shells, to create his own slugs, sort of.

Well, this gun certainly is an interesting idea, even if I can't see a practical use.

The 7.62x39 round is absolutely a great deer and elk round they even make a clip for the AK-47 for hunting it's 5 rounds and it looks so weird in the gun also

pretty common gun in Europe
Yero yes. here in finland those kinda guns are common at hunting
common guns in Germany too
except for the caliber of course ^^
Lol I've fired this rifle in England
I thought Drillings where more common in Germany?
I had one similar over in Germany. I went to hunting school there and got my German hunting license which is extremely hard for a non-citizen to do. I went and bought myself what they call a BACHDRILLING or a
three barrels gun it had a 12 gauge shotgun and a 30-06 barrel and also a 22 barrel
I've seen some of those but with 2 16 gauge and a 8mm barrel and was blown away by how cool they are
I have a Drilling, too. You can attach a bag at the Rifle stock to carry the different plug in barrels
If it comes to a survival Situation it´s very good because you can use different calibers.
