I’m out of South Carolina and purchased a CZ 457 American . I am testing different rimfire brands for best grouping ! Enjoyed your video and love your country and its beauty ! 👍
I have a CZ 457 .22LR and living in British Columbia I had to get the Canadian version with the Maple leaf embossed on the stock. Well made rifle, looks nice and very accurate as your Royal is.
Good greetings from easterrn Canada! Does the Canadian version have a metal trigger guard and metal magazine like the Royal version featured in this video. Metal magazines are great, but I actually do not mind a polymer magazine (better for the brass with respect to reloading in larger calibers). However, I do not buy rifles with polymer or plastic trigger guards. I plan to order one version online very soon, either the Royal or Canadian version. Thanks for any information you can provide.
@@CPM_1975 Yes, the Canadian CZ457 has a metal trigger guard and I have two 10 round polymer mags as well as the 5 round polymer that came with the rifle, nice gun. I load it with Aguila super extra and CCI mini mags.
Judging by most of the comments, I guess I’m a bit weird. I have no issue with the engraved lettering on the stocks. I have a 457 premium in 22 mag and both my wife and I have 457 Jaguars. Love these rifles.
20” barrel, the catalogue has all those listed as 24” barrel. I don’t want one with a 24” barrel. Everything about those rifle is beauty, I like high polished blue without the name engraved in the wood. I don’t think that will age well.
Great rundown Chris. Bought my CZ457 synthetic post your review. 16in barrel…tested plethora of ammo…loves ccs stingers(32’s) and the RWS hypersonic (40g’s). Shoots very similar groupings despite grain velocity differences. SK match still to put them thru it.
Excellent review, and I’m only half-way through it. I bought an MTR, but soon grew tired of the weight. Was lucky to discover a take-off stock and barrel from a Premium on Gunbroker and rebuilt it in that configuration. Would’ve been just as happy with a Royal. Both models are just a cut above the others with apparently oil-finished stocks and that steel magazine, well worth the somewhat higher price. I’ve only fired a few different loads through the new barrel, but if it’s less accurate than the MTR, the difference is hard to detect. Thanks for the report.
Just got a cz457 in 22 mag. I havent had time to take it to the range yet but it looks great. 23 mag with a bull barrel ot heavy bsrrelas they calk it.
I was lucky to find last fall CZ 457 Royal with beautiful "tiger strips" on walnut stock. Just love it! Mine loves Eley Team and CCI Velocitor ammo. Shooting out of 50 yards is just ... boring (hole in the hole). 100 yards makes it more interesting. The only 22LR rifle I can compare is my Lithgow LA101. Thanks for the review :)
If these CZ rifles are not the best value in rimfire rifles, then they have to be near the top 2 in the world of rimfire rifles. This `praise` also applies to Chris Parkin Shooting Sports, as a no nonsense and thorough reviewer. If and when I am in the market for a rifle, it`s Chris and or Ozzie Reviews`` in Australia, I turn to for what I need to know.
@@Owls-Toads That was rather strongly worded. I just hate seeing such a beautiful rifle with such tacky branding. I would have preferred if the branding would have been roll marked on the receiver or barrel and maybe inlaid with something like silver or gold paint. I feel like that would have been more fitting such a nice rifle. So, instead of buying this rifle, I will look for a mint 452 American.
My CZ 457 MTR 20" shoots sub MOA out to 100 meters using SK ammo, if there is more than one hole it's usually my fault.I use S&B for training, but there is almost always at least one flyer.
Neat, a full review. Should try high & hyper rds. Is that a Sporter chamber? Like to see it shooting without the silencer. See how loud a short barrel is.
I am glad to see you good British people can enjoy firearms. From what I’ve seen, the UK countryside is quite a lovely place. Looks like your Target Shooting sessions are a relaxing, fun and a magical time in a persons life. I think your CZ would be concerably more accurate with a slightly more high end scope like a Schmidt and Bender or a Leupold Scope. 🎯
Looks like a great offering from CZ! But I think the stock could've been improved if they had not rounded it off like they did, and instead left a flat wide forend on it.
Can the trigger system of 457 be put on the vsr10? I will appreciate it if you can comment or experiment test it too? Thank you so much for sharing cz 457
Thanks for this useful review. I would like to purchase this model and look for guidance about this beautiful rifle. What material, the receiver made from? Is it steel or Aluminum? Is there any plastic part exist in this model?
What a beautiful gun for the price it looks like it should be three times the price good job cz keep it up and if I had to guess they put the cz name on the stock that some of you don't like for free advertising as far as I'm concerned I would put my name on it if I made such a beautiful gun
I’d get this model if it wasn’t for that. Everything about the stock looks awesome and flows together then that just looks like a drawn on afterthought.
Great video, I also am a CZ fan... I have the MTR in 22lr, little heavy for carrying around for hours, but is doable with a padded sling... One thing i would love to see is a review of the Premium version... Mainly for the stock, i have to admit...
I got a Premium version. It shoots great. Looks great but u need to pay Xtra for datto. U kan keep the iron sights n don't remove it. Scopes r for weak hearted. U can install a target competition quality (for non-weakhearted) off hand shooting w NECG peep sight and it also looks great. See my main comment way up above.
Love your review. I want to buy the same gun you use here. Where can I buy one? Especially love the suppressor. I live in the United States, California. Please let me know where I can buy one. Thanks
You can get very solid rings for that dovetail style. It’s pricey but the value overall is very high as well. I have the 452 and I get compliments literally every time I bring it out. It’s won every backyard contest and several of those have been against 50+ rifles.
Slightly odd objection. With scope mounts machined in to the receiver , that's one less connection/ set of screws etc between the scope and rifle. Cannot be a bad thing.

cz now has 15 round mags for 22 lr. way smother than 25 but still alot when plinking. the metal 5 it comes with is the hunting mag
I have 2 royals. One in 22lr and one in 17hmr. Both shoot great but that 17 hmr is an absolute beauty. Great review.

The velocitors are a favorite in my 457 to.
Chris, great review as usual 👏 I can't wait to collect my own one. I'm still waiting for the paperwork to come through. It looks just beautiful.

Very informative review
The chocking sounds more louder than the shoot
Lovely looking rifle, little personal gripe 🙄
The writing cut into it.
What fool would approve such an idiotic idea on such a beautifully designed rifle?

Ruger does that shit to all of their guns too. -RUGER GP100-

Should the straps between the front and back legs of the shooting stick not be in tension when shooting, or does it not matter?
Can you please so test it with out the suppressor or silencer? Thank you so much and I appreciate it... Shalom Shalom enjoy watching it...

Which bipod is it? Brand? Model?

Buy a different model if you want a different stock

why the heck did they carve that name in the side of it!

Cz lettering destroys such a beautiful walnut stock.
Nope. It's part of the product. Looks just fine.

The model name laser-burned into the stock is about the ugliest thing I've seen on a rifle in a long time, hopefully it can be ordered without that.
Agreed
Agreed.
Ruined a beautiful walnut stock.
They’re not going to make a one off stock because you don’t like it
I actually did like that engraving on the stock forearm.
Thanks for the good Video Mr. Parkin
Hello, can you tell me what brand of suppressor it is?
Sak
What sling are you using there?
I couldn't tell you they're pretty much all the same unless you can see the logo yourself
Cz457How much does a sound pipe cost

What sling is that?
Probably Hornady
How can I buy that rifle, boss?
In a gunshop
I love cz and there gun but only reason I wouldn't buy one is because of the bb gun scope mounts
they offer a picatinny rail for it
