What an intelligent young woman. She spoke with clarity, and what she had to say was profound. The world needs more young people like Sam Fuentes.

I think I've seen all these statements now. I'm glad I finished with this one. The way she slammed that tablet closed and walked away knowing she said what she had to say is a beautiful kind of catharsis. It's tragic to know such a monster as the perpetrator (not saying his name because several of the victims request we not use it and forget him) exists. At the same time though, it's so wonderful to know people with the strength of Sam Fuentes exist. She knows the meaning of dignity, wisdom and perseverance. And she knows exactly what to say about the most unspeakable kind of tragedy when words will never be enough, but are always worth sharing. This was so concise, admirable and bold. I hope she experiences as much joy as she possibly can the rest of her life.

W O W! The speech! The delivery! She said all that needed to be said in just a couple of minutes. The last perticular sentences were extremely powerful. "Because we are stronger than you". On point. Of all excellent speeches this one probably hit me the hardest. It was like from a movie but at the same time so real and raw. Like she said...it was personal. Sam didn't refer ro him as an animal nor ignored his existence...she spoke directly to his evil core. Exposing him. She aimed right at him with the words of truth. Making him know that she knows. He can't hide from that. Beautiful SAM FUENTES I for one will not forget your name because if you heal and get the right support maybe we have seen the first speech of a future president.

I can't imagine the fear and pain she went through. Seeing your friends shot to death right in front of you, knowing full well you can be next. She's so brave. My heart goes out to her, her family and friends, the victims, the injured, and their families and friends as well. I sincerely commend them for their bravery in having the courage to speak out and relive what they went through that day. The kind of courage that the shooter will never know. What else do Americans expect after 40 yrs. of marketing and treating guns like toys ? Many teens and young are unbalanced. For most, they grow out of it. The unique thing about America is that every teen and child is within a few steps away from a pistol or rifle. Add to that the incessant hate and lies spread on social media. And the normal stress involved in becoming an adult. Not a good combination.
