I know you didn’t mention any video games where you can be a vampire, so I’ll list one. In an expansion for Skyrim you can actually be a Vampire Lord, or you can choose to fight the vampires. Vampires still are in the base game, but vampirism is more like a disease that hinders gameplay, those debuffs still are there if you become a Vampire Lord as well

Vlad the Impaler is actually known as Vlad Draculea here and not for the reason listed.
His father Vlad the 2nd Dracul, bastard son of the great monarch Mircea the Elder and founder of The Draculestilor Dynasty, was inducted in the Order of The Dragon(Societas *Draco*nistarum) by Sigismund of Luxembourg in his youth.
The son of Tepes, Vlad the 4th was actually named Dracula, which is probably where Stoker took inspiration. Medieval history cool :)

Learnt about it from a book i read, some junior murder mystery, where one of the main characters had it and so did the victim, but it was only revealed later in the story that it was like it
I dont quite remember the story, but i think a main character was called violet, and the art on the cover was cool. had it on my shelf but we're renovating so its packed away
(wait i had an idea and looked it up and the books called The Deadly Daylight by Ash Harrier. may be junior fiction, but i thought it was pretty good)

Actually, it’s not really a coincidence that Transylvania that is in Romania. I’m reading Dracula right now and it’s outright mentioned that this is where Count Dracula’s castle is and where the first few chapters take place. Also, it’s not really confirmed that Dracula was based off Vlad the Impaler. But Bram Stoker definitely got the name from there.
As for Abigail, I went with my sister and some friends and my sister LOVED it. I did not love it as much as her, but I still liked it and it was definitely worth watching. It’s pretty funny at times, and is really bloody.
