And most of people would just think “Wow, this is terrible.”, and then keep scrolling, not thinking much of it. But only if you knew how deep this rabbit hole can go and what awful things the vocalist of TX2 has committed.

Okay so I found out more about this, TX2 is a band but Evan is the only one on the cover because he is the main person in the the band, Sam, Corkey, and Cam just play the instruments.
The ‘goth dommy mommy’ thing is so gross to me, I’m not goth but I can only imagine how uncomfortable that makes goth people feel. 😭😭
Yeah Im a baby bat and after seeing Caroline and Evan's video skit on "how to get a goth gf" where he just spits out "goth mommy" the whole time, I completely stopped watching Caroline or anyone associated with her. Its disugsting behavior.

As a former TX2 fan, Evan telling Lake to k*ll themself then misgendering them nonstop was enough for me to no longer be a fan of TX2. I'm grateful he pulled that stunt directly before I bought tickets to see him live. I didn't waste my money on TX2 tickets because I left the fanbase because he did this directly before my payday

I don't mind the music, infact I find comfort in it. What I didn't know is that the vocalist was a total asshole. I don't agree with what he claims about his genre, nor do I agree with anything he does. I do believe Evan is trying to use this as an outlet to cope with his feelings, but again *I do not agree about the groups he claims to he apart of*

This is pretty much how I feel, I also find comfort in some of his music though I do agree that he has done some seriously bad things.
Evan has down some questionable things, that he shouldn’t have done especially with the Whole Lake situation, but I do know that he isn’t a mean or hateful person, sometimes people so bad things in the moment and end up regretting it later and I believe he will if he doesn’t already regret it. What I personally think is lake and Evan were in the wrong like why the Hell were you gonna off your self because a fucking joke?! Like Lake acted like a child when they were an adult. But again I can’t justify what Evan said because it wasn’t okay. But I do know that neither of them are bad people.

some tx2 fans are absolutely horrible, i got fatshamed on tiktok earlier this month because someone started harassing me in my comments and calling me a poser for calling out stuff you touched on in this video, and the person originaly making horrible comments to me decided to tag a bunch of people in my comments and one of them responded and started to fatshame me. i wasnt even offended, i was just laughing over how childish people can be after hearing fact.

i'll never forget when he sent his entire fanbase to cyberbully some youtubers because they laughed at one of his videos. a channel did a video reacting to crazy tiktok livestreams. tx2 was doing an "ironic skit" where he said he'd respond to every fan that messages him and was being overly positive. the youtubers that reacted to the video laughed and thought it was funny. tx2 and his fans got upset over this, and flooded the comments on the video, bullying them for "being against his mental health movement." so much for positivity, huh?
Umm not true I’ve been a fan of Evan for Years and never once has he ever said to bully or insult another person. I haven’t missed a since livestream or post of evans in almost 2 years and I wasn’t even a fan of his untill last year.

He was a fan of this episode and still are because he got their jokes and thought it was funny. And yes maybe his fans saw it because he talked about it on a Livestream but never told them to go watch it or comment on it. Not all TX2 fans are horrible either, I’m not all I do is tell the truth about situations. Now I definitely get why you would think he said that but he didn’t. Maybe actually Watch his lives he does live on TikTok everyday and RUclips every other day, you can ask him questions and he answers them honestly, you’ll see a bunch of stuff that you didn’t even know about him. You can even talk to the rest of the band sometime.

I know!!! my bff who is obsessed with the emo genre, enjoys TX2's music. She isn't depressed and has no trauma (she said she hates her life because of her nails, shes younger than everyone in her class, and he grandma not liking her being emo), and she does S/H because she thinks she'll fit in with other emos, specifically famous emos (i.e. Johnnie Guilbert). I've told her to stop and she will regret them later on. That's why I don't like Evan pushing that stereotype onto his audience/people.

TX2 wants to be like MCR so bad it’s almost desperate. He says he has to be cringe or else no one will listen yet I’m pretty sure MCR has some more serious lyrics and they aren’t cringe like that.. Evan almost treats his band as a joke, he acts like this isn’t the internet he’s putting this shit up on. The internet (or at least the people on it) is known for coming back to bite you in the ass.

Okay so I’m just here to clear some things up and clarify them, because there was a lot of misinformation in this video. Now I absolutely agree with some things in the video, and I’m not trying to just be one of those crazy TX2 fans because trust me there are some absolutely crazy ones.
1.) You said TX2 is a band. That is not correct actually TX2 stand for T times 2 but it’s said like X this is important because Evans Full name is Timothy Evan Thomas, and Timothy Thomas starts with T, so that name is just him. Yes he had Corkey, Cam, and Sam who play with him but they aren’t actually apart of the TX2 name.
2.) You said that TX2 doesn’t write his own songs, that isn’t true Evan writes the words and all of the drum beats, that’s it. Now Cam actually writes picks a beat in the guitar and then Evan writes lyrics from there, he doesn’t pick what the background beats or music sounds like other than the drums and the words, so yeah he does hire people to write things like backup words and to correct and make his writing better.
3.) Evan misgendered Lake, Yes he did. And he’s apologized for that and send a DM to their instagram account apologizing himself, but he never got a response, and people didn’t believe him but in his TikTok live he showed us the message, I actually think I have it screen recorded because I reccord all the lives.
4.) Evan “Rage bates” yea he does that but if you actually think about it it’s very smart, because it gets Gatekeepers mad and then they watch the video therefor Evan gets more views. People like u just pick and chose the information you wanna share because u never showed his livestreams where he apologized to lake, or where he explained all his tactics.
4.) Evan doesn’t do this for money, actually if you look it up pop punk is the LEAST profited genre in 2024, plus Evan doesn’t even have enough money to fix his damn tooth lol.
6.) Evan doesn’t write music to try and fit in a certain way in with a certain community, Evan writes about the things that has happened to his in his past like how he was R@ped at 22 and S3xually Assaulted, and survived suicide numerous times!
7.) Evans song “ I Would Hate Me Too” isn’t him glorifying SH it was his to show that he mentally wasn’t okay, and that he needed help but didn’t know how to ask, all because of the things that has happend to him he wasn’t taught how to cope of express himself, as a child because he was to busy getting heated and burned by his father for dressing in black.
8.) The def of a poser is someone who is posing as something, which calling TX2 a poser is saying he isn’t "Emo” well if being Beaten, Burned, R@ped, and almost killed by different people his whole life isn’t an “Emo” enough background I don’t know what is. Evan has been “Emo” since he was is the 5th grade and people this don’t even like him have brought up pictures and videos of him as a child obviously as Emo as he is now.
9.) The LGBTQ+ drama, Evan is Bisexual and always has been but never had a chance to tell anyone until he released a song called “Say Your Insecure”. And before u say he isn’t, he had been engaged to man for 4 months but it ended because the man died. He was also almost got engaged to a Girl baker Alexa, who actually has a RUclips channel names Lexx_Hexx they had moved to LA together but got in a huge argument that night because she was cheating, but then the next day she found out she was pregnant with Evans baby but she wanted and Abortion and Evan didn’t, he wanted to keep it but finally had the abortion and then they just split up. He actually wrote a song about it called “ 2 Pills”.
10.) finally this is my last one because this has took me forever, you said that Evans music sucks and is stolen, well how can something be stolen if the part samples had credit to the other band? Evan gave them credit as inspiration numerous times on lives and at shows. You people think their are unlimited cords and keys when their aren’t so obviously some music is gonna sound the same, and the last time I checked the other didn’t even care because Evan has talked to them and they also said he did. Now I get that his music may not be your cup of tea and ids totally fine to say he sucks because that’s your opinion, other people like different things, like I think Green Day, and Linkin park fucking suck but I’m not gonna hate on you because you might like those bands.

Also I used to not like TX2 at all, I’ve been in your shoes until I went to a show of another band and TX2 opened the show, it was his sing Called “6 Secconds” it really hit home because as a victim of suicidal thoughts myself I was able to relate and understand a lot of where he was confused From.

But again you definitely made some valid points and I’m not saying this to change your mind because you can have all the opinion you want but I just wanted you Everton in the audience to know the true aspect of the things you said because everything I said you can go and fact check and it will be correct. First off, the namesake does not decide whether or not something is a band. A band is when multiple people collaborate to make music.
Second, it's still pretty fucked up to misgender someone, then tell them to kill themselves. Then harass them for months. An apology doesn't change what he did, nor does it change the fact that he continued to go after this random person for an extended period of time.
Third, on the topic of rage bait, it's known to be actively harmful to society. As someone who claims to care about mental health and important issues the use of rage bait diminishes his point. It's a cheap tactic, often used by reactionaries and prank channels. It is used to increase attention for the purpose of getting MONEY.
Fourth, on the topic of money. Pay attention to his use of rage bait, jokey sounding lyrics for the purpose of obtaining attention (he said himself that the "5.4 man whore" line was used because nobody would pay attention otherwise), and his use of "satire" and "dark humour" in the process of marketing. These all together paint a picture of someone looking to get attention, not someone trying to spread a message or vent their feelings. People in the entertainment industry (music in his example) rely on attention to bring in money. That is why industry plants such as the Tramp Stamps used these same tactics to obtain attention. With attention comes views(ad revenue) and streams (ad revenue). Also I'd like to see your source saying that punk music is unprofitable. According to an article called "Anarchy Meets Luxury: The Big Money Of Punk Music" by TheRichest punk music is very profitable. Not to mention Pop Punk is even more palatable to big business than Punk. This is part of the reason why there are so many new people to the pop punk scene specifically.
Fifth. If this man doesn't write music to try and fit in a certain way, why does he specifically bring up his trauma as "proof" of being punk/emo. Every genre can have songs about these topics. Riptide is a famous pop song about sexual assault, Like Toy Soldiers is a famous rap about loss of loved ones.
Sixth, on the topic of emo. In this video he is not criticized for not being emo because of his background. He is accused of not being emo because of his hypocrisy, lack of knowledge about the history of emo, and his tactics discussed earlier (rage bait, punching up his lyrics for attention, "dark humour" used to harm the emo community).
Seventh, being bisexual does not make you accepting. Internalized homophobia exists. It is a very very common thing even for people open about being 2SLGBTQ+ to be homophobic or transphobic.
Eighth, in the topic of fetishisation of goth women. He is posting this on social media, perpetuating a stereotype that harms real women. When you post something people will see it without context, especially when you have alot of followers and most will never learn the context. So making that content still has negative affects on real people because they push this stereotype harder into the minds of the public. I believe that he doesn't personally feel that way, and it's possible he has good intentions. However, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Goth women have to deal with the consequences of this stereotype in the form of violence, sexual assault, fetishisation, sexual harassment, and more.

It would be different if he was unaware of how suicide and mental health affects an individual, but this man claims to have an intimate relationship with these things. If that's true he must have known how it affects someone, and he is a grown man. It would be pretty difficult for me to believe that he is just too ignorant to understand how that would hurt an individual. I am not telling you to quit watching him or being a fan, but I am worried about young people such as yourself. Either inadvertently or not this man is grooming (grooming means to make a young person more accepting of inappropriate/toxic behaviour in their adulthood through exposure to it at a young age) children to defend inappropriate behaviour on the basis that the aggressor is mentally ill. This is not acceptable to me even if it is accidental. What I suggest to you is in your life if someone shows you who they are like this, believe them. I apologize for getting so upset, but it angers me that this man is opening young people up to accepting poor behaviour from others in their futures. Like yes, I’ve got trauma and I’ve attempted before but I don’t go ‘look at me, look at me, I’ve got trauma!’ When someone gets upset with something I’ve done.
