As somebody who crochets i might be able to sorta answer your question. Depending on how fast you are each square on that dress takes 5-10 minutes. They are called granny squares... Lets say that dress had 50 granny squares it would take already over an hour. You have to spray them with water and block them. wait to dry. takes up to an hour+. Then you sew EVERY single square together. Takes days.

We got very many little boutiques here, and they are expensive. But also any store that is not national or international has those tags. And there are a lot more of the non-national unique stores, then there are big national stores like ...H&M, or S.Oliver etc

After I read the second name I had to just take a deep breath because my sons name is Cullen 😳
☆ As a kid, I was allergic to all metals but gold, so I started painting rings, watches n some earrings i wanted to wear with clear nail polish.
Def a few coats n if it's a thicker ring, you can paint up the side a bit so your finger doesn't go green or get a reaction rash.
You'll need to reapply it, n I always knew it was time when it got itchy. I grew outta it. ♡
I was the same way, but couldn’t wear any metal piercings, even gold. So I went from age 3 to 32 with pierced ears that NEVER closed and couldn’t wear earrings. When I was pregnant, I started to notice that cheap costume jewelry didn’t irritate my skin anymore and I eventually got brave and tried earrings again. Absolutely no issues, so I’m living my best life with earrings. 😂 it’s the little things in life.

I was surprised about Cider, because it's one of my favourite places to get clothing that is pretty decently priced in my opinion. As a fellow crocheter I appreciate Kris so much. All the prices are pretty valid considering how the designing and then actually creating by hand (there is no machine that can crochet) the crocheted pieces can be very time consuming and takes a lot of yarn which can get expensive. As someone with tiny lips, ladies, it doesn't matter. Lip sizes are like eyebrows, the trends for them change. If you *want* thicker lips, 100% do what makes you happy, but if you're someone who doesn't want that but still feel bad about how you don't fit into some trend; don't, you're beautiful. Self confidence shines through more than just very specific parts of yourself, so love yourself. I have a lot of small features, I used to think of myself as a creepy doll. But I've switched that mentality to whimsical pixie or elf. Find your own lil niche and love it. Trust me, it does wonders. And there's more than one type of beauty, never forget that. We're programmed to envy and compare, but it'd be extremely dull if we all looked the same.
My top lip disappears when I smile and I have a very small mouth. I've been told my smile can light up the room, but I'm STILL self conscious about them

As someone who crochets, those prices are valid. As long as the person who made those crochet items were paid well for their work, because there is absolutely no machine that can duplicate crochet. Anything in store that you buy that is crochet is 100% hand made. It's a skill that takes time and effort to perfect. Those things take hours to make! So If you see something hand crocheted in a store that is SUPER cheap, know it's made with slave labor.
Yes absolutely!!! I crochet aswell and it is very time consuming but so worth it.
I used to crochet baby clothes for the Grange building at the Big E. It took me 7 months to design and crochet 8 or 9 one of a kind sets/products to donate. The prices were determined by Grange representatives dependent on sales. I was told that my 6 month sized Bumblebee Sweater sold for $25.

A really cool thing about crochet is that it can’t be done by a machine. It HAS to be made be hand! A lot of time and love has to be put into it, which makes bags like that much extra special imho.
For the Series clothes, the prices are justified since crochet is not possible to replicate by machine like Knitting is, so all the crochet pieces HAVE to be done by hand! So don't buy cheap mass produced crochet clothes, because that means someone got seriously underpaid to make it.
With the really bad overwhelming day day at work, genuinely brought a tear to my eye. Thanks Kris, we appreciate you too!

Kris....here's an idea for the dress...
Rather than cutting it into two (or more) pieces, you could wear it as is but with a wide (about 3") black belt. That way it breaks it down and will make it look more attractive on you. Definitely wear the sleeves (straps) off the shoulder. 🥰❤❤

And girl PLEASE DONT CUT IT!! At the very least, take it to a local cleaners and let them cut/hem it appropriately. If you cut a hand knit or crochet, it will unravel from both sides of the cut IMMEDIATELY in a way that will probably ruin it before you can fix it. At least let them stitch a few lines around before cutting between them to prevent the unraveling. Seriously tho?! So cute as is!!

The thing with that bathing suit is it's made in the UK and designed in the UK from sustainable fabric. It's being made with fairly paid labour in a first world country and more expensive materials. That's why it costs more.

Fun fact. True crochet, unlike knitting, can't be done by any machine, it has to be done by hand. Thus true crocheted items, can be quite spendy. There are machines that kind of mimic crochet but it isn't like handmade crochet whereas with knitting, there's not a whole lot of difference.

I get it considering trying to buy clothes as a bigger person is so difficult because everything from 'typical' plus brands is frumpy, poorly fitting and they think fat people should hide everything with baggy tunics. It's pretty much impossible to buy goth clothes in plus size too :(
