The FAA will probably cite the pilot of the Zero for violating 14 CFR § 91.113 (b) "General. When weather conditions permit, regardless of whether an operation is conducted under instrument flight rules or visual flight rules, vigilance shall be maintained by each person operating an aircraft so as to see and avoid other aircraft. @@raymondblanchard2213 Google says Edgewater Airpark, Ohio... So was over US Soil and (more importantly) in US Class G airspace. They needed six motors on a giant A-10 to get an airsoft gun and a camera BOTH off the ground, and the pellets could barely ding the foamcore of the target in the rare event they scored a hit. Don't think the tech is there yet. Maybe 5G will have the bandwidth for a cellphone-based system that doesn't have to haul around a heavy video transmitter. IRL (in real Life) there were contrasts between them that would make a demo-derby pretty conclusive. The Zero is light-weight fast (to a limit (the controls would get stiff at speed)). And was used (pretty effectively) as a kamikaze. The Corsair would take enormous amounts of damage and keep flying. Pappy Boyington landed his VMF-214 Coarsair on the squadron's new Runway at Espritu Santos BEFORE IT WAS COMPLETED! There was a bulldozer still on the runway and he bounced INTO it on landing (he did minor damage to the airframe and bent the prop pretty good). When the Black Sheep mechanics arrived the next morning (to both get Pappy and retrieve the airplane), they found Boyington stripped to the waist with the prop in a blacksmith's fire banging on the prop to straighten it! He had borrowed a huge wrench from the USN SeaBees and taken the prop off standing on the blades of a forklift! When they started the aircraft Pappy said it vibrated like hell but he could fly it back to home-base. P.S. Pappy Boyington lived three blocks from my route to high-school. Pappy was well known for telling sea stories (including and especially his book 'Baa Baa Black Sheep)'. www.amazon.com/dp/B00DXKJ5GE/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 P.S.S. if someone wants more pappy stories he told me a few, drop me a line!
Yall should do one with the p47 and a future foce wold build. The p47 was dubbed “the jug” by her pilots for the fuselage shape. This aircraft like its modern counter part the A-10 was built around it main feature. Its engine. All tis ducting of pipes and cross bars created a wonderfull saftey plane, if you came down without landing fear all that ducting caused for a smooth belly landing. Fhere are stories of the plane coming home with holes in the prop and all theoughout the plane
I looks like the tail heavy balance kind of helped Josh in the collision. It allowed the plane to rotate over backwards after the stall and regain airspeed. Good show!

15:22 "Panic sticks" lol Good save!!
great show guys keep them coming
Yall should do one with the p47 and a future foce wold build. The p47 was dubbed “the jug” by her pilots for the fuselage shape. This aircraft like its modern counter part the A-10 was built around it main feature. Its engine. All tis ducting of pipes and cross bars created a wonderfull saftey plane, if you came down without landing fear all that ducting caused for a smooth belly landing. Fhere are stories of the plane coming home with holes in the prop and all theoughout the plane
I just started watching you and your already one of my favorites
Intense ! Good flight still guys !
I looks like the tail heavy balance kind of helped Josh in the collision. It allowed the plane to rotate over backwards after the stall and regain airspeed. Good show!
Dear Flite Test,
Absolutely love the big builds, PLEASE PLEASE can you guys make a big STOL Plane version or even a 1.3m Version with working landing gear suspension and all. would absolutely love it!! Like a Carbon Cub or a blown up version of the FT Simple cub :)
If you look closely when the Zero and the Corsair collided you will see the propeller of the Zero get torn out of it
