    • @hummadh

      @@supermanreturns7917 because diesel doesn't catch fire easily like petrol with a simple spark. It needs a higher temperature to burn which spark plugs cannot produce.

    These sessions of ICN give real technical information in the inner workings of a car which I absolutely love...!!. Could you please put a video on torque , bhp and rpm, as in what do you mean that an engine reaches this much torque or bhp on this rpm. What does it actually mean..??

    Vikas,
    You explain it so efficiently, seems there is no major technology needed for manufacturing engines.
    Whereas we all know that for almost ALL defence vehicle's ( be it Vehicle's, Tank's, Aircraft's, Ship's, or Submarine's et el) their engine's happen to be imported from few select manufacturers.
    What's so unique, that Indian Manufacturers or DRDO isn't able to manufacture robust / powerful / silent / vibration free / fuel efficient engine's on their own.
    Ditto when it comes to hydel/thermal power plants - where invariably the engine's are a domain of a select few MNC manufacturers.
    Is it really that difficult to manufacture good engine's in India or is it some sort of a patent holding others not to replicate or is it something to do with murky politics / Kickbacks etc.?

    Although, you explained this concept very beautifully, yet concise, but just wanted to know why diesel engines don't come up with spark ignition. Does fuel also plays some factor here?
    (Though, the prime difference is the process of ignition only between the petrol & diesel engines.)

    Why diesel engine make less bhp but more nm of torque
    Can u pls explain
    For eg jaguar xe diesel 2.0 and xe petrol 2.0
    Same displacement

    • @bikramcse
      @bikramcse 4 года назад +5

      Higher compression ratio in diesel engines leads to higher torque since piton moves a longer distance..while in petrol engine although displacement is same pitons are wider and the depth is less..hence the rpm increases as the pistons travel less..hence increase in power..hope it's clear..:)

    Many Congratulations Yogiji for coming out with this *Brilliant ICN Explains Series* for all non Engineering /non Techical car owners. Its an Amazing Easy to understand Series. It answer's most of tech terms datas in Specifications of any car's brochure.
    Requesting you to share info's on Safety features of SUV/Cars. Seperately for Everyday OR City-Highways and Off Road-Adventure driving.
    Because of my selfish interest Why pay more or extra for Off Road Safety features when I would never ever attempt to drive in those harsh conditions.
    As a non technical Car Owner our requirements are :
    *Engine* Performance, Power, Refinements & Efficiency
    *Cabin Space* Comfort for 4 or 5
    *Safety Features* Std + ABS, EBD, ESP,.......etc..
    *Ride Quality* Suspension on rough roads
    *Handling* Stearing Res, Easy Gear Shifts, Clutch Light or Hard
    *Braking* Disc or Drum
    *Overall* Refinements & Fit-finish
    *Warranty* Duration & on Major Parts
    *After Sales Services* Very Important - Quality, *Affordability & Network*
    Rest are all Cosmetics, Comforts & Conveniences of Personal Requirements for Status or One up man-ship.
    *In India we buy cars for Convenience + Personal Or Family Status in Society or Group* and not as vehicle only for everyday transport from point A to B.
    *All the above are my personal Views & Observations. It may not be true for all* 🙏🙏🙏

    Please, explain ENGINE 3 cylinder vs 4 cylinder, why 4 cylinder engine is more tune than 3 cylinder engine?

    • @cranky1812
      @cranky1812 4 года назад

      You can tune any engine to an extreme, it depends on your budget and nothing to do with number of cylinders.

    • @prashasakpanda3754
      @prashasakpanda3754 4 года назад +1

      You can also tune 3 cyl engine, consider the example of Koenigsegg gamera, it has a 3cly engine but still it produces around 600bhp. Tuning an engine really depends upon its tolerance level and the materials used to make the engine.

    बहुत बहुत ही अच्छी वीडियो । आपका इसका पहला भाग भी बहुत बढ़िया था । कई वीडियो मैंने ये दोनों टॉपिक्स समझने के लिए देखे लेकिन समझ नही आया । लेकिन आप ने जिस तरह आसान शब्दों में इनको एक्सप्लेन किया कि कोई डाउट बाकी नही रहा । उम्मीद करता हूं कि ऐसी ही अन्य वीडियो आम आदमी की समझ के लिए आप और भी बनाएंगे । एक वीडियो मैं आपसे रिक्वेस्ट करता हूं की मॉड्यूलर प्लेटफार्म पे भी बनाएं जो आज कल काफी ऑटोमोबाइल कम्पनीज अपना रही है । दूसरा कुछ और टॉपिक्स है जैसे, Hp, टॉर्क, Rpm, Kw, transmisson system, Camber, Caster, toe etc. मेरा कोई टेक्निकल बैकग्राउंड नही है लेकिन जिज्ञासा है जानने समझने की , कई वीडियो देख चुका हूँ लेकिन भेजे में बात घुसती नहीं। लेकिन आप के दोनों वीडियो देख के निश्चिन्त हूँ कि आगे जो भी वीडियो आपके आएंगे वो भी इसी तरह आसान समझ वाले होंगे ।
    एक रिक्वेस्ट और है , आजकल BS6 इंजन की गाड़ियां आने वाली है । इसके वर्किंग प्रिंसिपल पे एक वीडियो बनाएंगे तो बहुत अच्छा होगा । कैसे ये इंजन BS4 से अलग है, क्या तकनीकी बदलाव है, exhust सिस्टम में क्या बदलाव हुए है etc.

    Very nicely explained! I have heard people saying if you have low running them buy petrol car. What should be the reason, can you shred some light on it please. excited for your new video.
    Regards!

    Yogi Ji your reviews are always informative.
    Can you please help me out to choose the right one?
    I have gone through most of the comments of experts in terms of the longevity/long run capabilty/life of a diesel and petrol engine car.
    One common statement is always there to find "if running is more or less than 50 kms per day it is better to opt a diesel engine car otherwise it will better to turn to the petrol variant".
    But my point is that if we simply reverse the above said statement does it mean that the reliability, efficiency, longevity/life of a diesel engine car will get reduced than a petrol engine car over a span of say three years which has less or no running in a month, keeping aside the other comparisons like cost, fuel consumption efficiency, drivability etc of a petrol and diesel engine respectively.
