Tip the bottle sideways when you pour.

I suspect pulling the used oil out of dipstick tube left at least 1/2 quart of dirty oil in the pan....not acceptable to me regardless of time saved.

im also wondering how much is really left in the pan but i usually move the hose angle to hopefully get more out. the skid plate is a PITA to take off lol

does the dipstick tube go to the bottom of the pan?

@@flops7023 from what I can tell yes, some say it doesnt get EVERYTHING out but it seems to do the job

@ I have one myself and have used it for oil changes and even trans fluid swaps through dipstick holes. more or less just trying to point out that there is probably the same, if not less oil left vs a traditional bolt drain. A lot of pans rise up where the drain bolt sits, leaving leftover oil after a normal drain. Who knows you might be winning and getting more of the old oil out by pumping it through the dipstick hole.

@@flops7023 thanks your your message man! really hoping it gets all the oil out of it! a few of the VW shops said its not bad to use, but everything 2 or 3 changes its good to jack it up and do it the old skool way. just to make sure any metal pieces come out (if any)

This is a bad practice as you never get all the oil out. Sludge remains at the bottom.

@BrokeBoyAutos if you really want to do it the right way, drain the oil after a trip on the highway. Let it drain overnight.
From the time it stops dripping, you get another half quart by the next morning.
