Every companion is fantastic in their own way, but then there's Rose... there's just something about her none of the others can match; I don't know what it is but... oh Rose...
just like the writers said they made her perfect for the doctor she evolved and she became her on person they had to give her own universe to sperate two of them
David and Billie were just such a fantastic pairing. I didn’t hate Chris at all, but David’s doctor fit with her better. It was devastating to see them ripped apart.

I have this piece on piano, and my God, is it amazing. I've haven't seen a bunch of episodes with Rose in it yet, but this is probably my favorite companions theme. :'] beautiful!
My schools Marching Band performed a Doctor Who show last year and this was our second movement (for you non-marchers, the band usually plays three pieces per show, and this was the second one) My instrument played the melody at :50-1:30. Made my Whovian heart cry every performance.
This sounds like the musical embodiment of hope. Standing on the edge of a new discovery or chapter in life, and the feelings of excitement and wonder that come with it. God damn Murray Gold is a genius
I never had a massive breakdown over a character's departure before 'Doomsday'. I realised just how vital Rose was for the Doctor and how he not just wanted her as a companion and to take care of him, but also genuinely loved her with all his being. I have said it a million times and I will say it again - I will go down this ship. Or already have.
someday. some day far in the future. many doctors from now. an episode will end. and there'll be a shot. not a long one. as the tardis fades out, a woman with mid-length blonde hair walking away. we'll never see her face, but we'll know it's her. because 1:27 will play.
reminds me of the episode of 'new earth' when the doctor and rose were laying in the grass... rose: that was our first date dr.: we had chips so sad she had no idea of what was to come... :(
The irony is that this sounds so much like music played at the ending of a romance movie, two people hugging and spinning about on the grass or somesuch.
The theme is actually, I think, a 'remix' or borrows from one of the themes from A West Side Story. Still, I wish I knew the particular name of that theme, as it is quite beautiful.
I was rewatching through the new series and during the end of The Age of Steel when Rose is saying goodbye to Mickey, and that is when I realized that this song isn't the Doctor's but is in fact Rose's theme, only to find out that's the name of the song.
And I respect that you don't ship them. Can I also say how nice it is to finally see that someone agrees with me, everyone is like, "No you're wrong!" Kudos to you. :)
Maybe that was what it was to begin with, but I think ultimately 10 loved Rose more than he loves/loved anyone else. There were many times where he couldn't say he loved her cause it hurt him too much. She helped him forget, and he loved her all the more for it

If the doctor had never met Rose, he/she would have had a completely different personality. I mean, think about it. Rose changed the doctor during the first season. Before he/she met Rose, he was genocidal, always killing enemies who threatened anyone’s safety without a second thought. But during Rose’s time as the doctor’s companion and even after the doctor and Rose got separated, the doctor was more resistant to genocide, even if it ‘killed’ him to resist it, as shown when the general shoots Jenny in ‘The doctor’s daughter’. He says ‘I never would’ to the general while pointing a gun at him, but, as he said, doesn’t pull the trigger. The metacrisis doctor was eventually created, but he was the complete opposite of THE doctor, and the doctor when he first met Rose. The metacrisis doctor destroyed the new race of Daleks created by Davros (essentially genocide), and was considered by the doctor to be too dangerous to be left on his own, so he left him with Rose in the parallel world to be improved upon. He even admitted that Rose was responsible for changing his personality. This is why Rose is my favorite Doctor Who companion of all time. She is so important in the doctor’s life, and the reason why the doctor is who she is today. I think it would be cool if Rose would return in a 13th doctor episode.
