“Lesser men” it’s always the, lesser man that fought the wars, bloodied in battle, losing their lives whilst the “great men” sat on there horses at a safe distance, it’s only in films you see a difference!

    • @NottherealLucifer
      @NottherealLucifer 10 месяцев назад

@@philcalder3127Except that's not who we're fucking talking about. You're the one calling the lazy cunts on horses "Great men" not OP. Great men are the ones who captured a dozen men on their own with just a pistol and three grenades, great men are the ones who brokered a tentative peace so both sides could pull their injured from the field, and great men are the ones who die only after they've held the line long enough for civilians to escape. You're the only one claiming otherwise, you're the one giving lesser men the title of "great man."
Soldiers don't start wars, you fool, so calling them lesser just shows what an asshole you are. The men on the horses, in their tents, sitting in their offices, those men are the lesser men. Those men start the wars, they set the fire, and the great men are the one forged in it. Your ignorance is astounding, you couldn't even keep this very basic analogy straight in your head.

‘What do you make of the title?’
‘Which title there’s two. No More and Galifray Falls.’
‘Oh see that’s where everybody’s wrong. It’s all one title; Galifray Falls No More...now what do you think that means?’
-a little chat that The Doctor had with himself.

I'm a 42 year old southern american man. When I was a child I would stay up very late in the summer time. We only got 3 channels on tv. The NBC and CBS networks would go off and the PBS station would show syndicated episodes of dr who. I grew up watching Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker as the doctor. My imagination was taken to some pretty strange places. I knew galifray before I knew alderan or the Klingon empire. I loved the show. There was nothing else like it on television at the time. I was a fan from a small child. I went years without watching. I saw a few eccleston and Tennant episodes but Matt Smith is the one who brought the doctor back to me and as such, amelia pond will always be my favorite companion. But all in all this was a very touching video. Well done.

That was so lovely. I stopped watching Dr. Who after Matt Smith left. I knew I wanted to come back to the show, and I LOVE Peter Capaldi (shout out to Craig Ferguson - I first saw Peter Capaldi on Craig's late night talk show), but I needed time to get over the "loss" of four beloved characters. Now I know it's time to rejoin the story, and I'll have a much deeper appreciation for it, because you did such a lovely job of reminding me of his whole long journey, of showing his story as a whole. I remember why I love Dr. Who, both as a character and a story. It seems corny, but the character, the actors, the writers, the tech people, the artists, the cooks, and the janitors - they come together, over and over, to remind us who we can be, how good and noble and brave we can be, both individually and as a species. There's always hope, and always a chance for redemption.
(And the sound of the Tardis somehow expresses all of that... :) )

Remembering that hate is always foolish, and love is always wise. Always trying to be nice, but never failing to be kind. Laughing hard Running fast. Being kind. Understanding that we all change, all through our lives, keeping moving. Never forgetting the people I used to be.

    The Doctor
I have traveled long and far I’ve lived many life’s
Take a peek in the window of my eyes, you will see pieces the universe
If you could take a stroll through my memories, you’ll be astound of all I’ve witnessed and maybe feel what I experience
The burden will bring you too your knees pleading for mercy or a break
I wouldn’t wish this on my enemy
    I’ve experienced so much joy
My memories brings me more pain than joy but I will keep finding a way to give hope, share a little wisdom with a reason to smile,
And pray to the Holy Spirit I can save the rest in their names because that’s who The Doctor is
I run far and long, lived many lives
Inside what appears to you a big blue box
I’m not sure where I’m running to but I’m am The Doctor, the last of the timelords, I run alone
So I don’t have to live for another life I lost
Trust is it’s becoming too much to burden but I will find a way to be a healer but I can’t be healed
My two heart’s will remain as large as my tardis
To all those souls I lose through my time
I promise I will make you proud
We’re not suppose to live forever,
    but you perished too soon
I’ll Create something in your memory that will remain everlasting
It will be heard like a melody when it chimes
Cause I hate when stories end so your song won’t too
When I cross paths with evil
I promise they won’t escape from me
    I’m am the doctor
I will fight in the name of all the lost souls
But I won’t take a life to be like them unless it’s the very last resort and their no longer have an ounce of humane
The weight of the burdens and the souls I carry with me grow
Though I will find a way to save, because I’m the doctor and I’ve lost too many I won’t see another go
I run far and long, lived many life’s
Inside what appears to you a big blue box
I’m not sure where I’m running to but I’m am The Doctor, the last of the timlords, I find a way to heal but I cannot be healed
I run alone, stand for everyone
Ask of me I fear no one
    They all fear my might
I’m known by many names from the blood on my hands
Some got left some i saved some I lost some I took It all depends on which story you heard But I’m all that and more I do what what I must nothing less nothing more
But My two heart’s are as large as my tardis
    I’m The Doctor!

I just have to say, this left me speechless. The music was perfect and crisp, the scenes were those of hope and loss, life and death, and over him.
"When they made this particular hero, they didn't give him a gun, they gave him a screwdriver to fix things.
They didn't give him a tank or a warship or an X-Wing Fighter, they gave him a call box from which you can call for help.
And they didn't give him a superpower or pointy ears or a heat ray, they gave him an extra heart. They gave him two hearts. And that's and extraordinary thing.
There will never come a time when we don't need a hero like The Doctor." - Steven Moffat

I love that they capture all the wonderful moments of WHO and hate that my heart just sort of goes into a trance about a few of the companions. It's one of the reason's why I watch the show though. I love the focus between the two and how it intertwines with the lives of others. It has such wonderful lore. DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, NOT REALLY SPOILERS BUT STILL...A WARNING
Never be cruel, never be cowardly. And never ever eat pears! Remember - hate is always foolish…and love, is always wise.
Always try, to be nice and never fail to be kind. Oh, and….and you mustn’t tell anyone your name. No-one would understand it anyway. Except….
Except….children. Children can hear it. Sometimes - if their hearts are in the right place, and the stars are too. Children can hear your name.
But nobody else. Nobody else. Ever.

When people look at the TARDIS, they only notice that its much brighter, much bigger on the inside, and no one cares about the outside, no one cares about the small, blue, sad look of it on the outside, the TARDIS is the opposite of the doctor, he acts happy and bright and that personality is much larger than his small, lonely, sad, mournful, regretful one inside.

Your edits that u've put together are fantastic selection of music the way that u've used the stories as transitions is wonderful & I fully understand the length of time that it would have taken you to watch the episodes & decide when & where to cut and join is just fantastic work. I look forward to seeing some new edits put together as much as i've enjoyed looking at some of the old videos that you've made. I fully understand this as I have edited some bits together and I know what hard work it needs

I loved the fact that the conscious of the box never tried to push the doctor to push the button even at the beginning.

Gotta say I listen to this maybe 3 times a day. And it's been a week. Thank you mate, you've managed to capture the essence of the doctor's pain and remorse. Cheers from France.
