Always love when Robbie reviews things he's never been into or read before.
I've been listening to the Robservations podcast and if you ask him, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I appreciate your doing these to temper Rob's thoughts on himself
i remember getting this comic at my lcs when i lived in florida. thanks for sharing.
Loved image comics in the 90’s! Still love them now! Haha
I remember buying them and being so excited!
We need a 90s Image comic serie now.
I love 90s comics. I just got my hands in all the issues of WildCats World's End. Would love some videos talking about our beloved Wildcats.
this is a major throwback book to review
Thanks for the show!
Liking Rob Liefelds Captain America run is a crazy take
I still love Youngblood in the 90’s.
As a 11 year old in the 90’s I gave two shits about a story . I just wanted to see cool pictures I could draw in class .
I like your color analogy to an airbrushed tshirt from a mall in the 80’s and 90’s. Lol
Congrats on 20k! Well deserved!
I still have my #1 of this!!!! Memories!! Great breakdown!! 2.5 lol!!
Congratulations 🎉 on hitting 20k subscribers!!
I bought this one off the shelf way back in the day!!
I was onboard for all of the Image Stuff as a Kid...youngblood were like the R rated X-Force for 13 year old me!
Here for the contest! :)
Page 6 of the away team story (the three panel page where the panels stretch top to bottom) featuring Sentinel and Combat was inked by Erik Larsen. More screentone used than anywhere else in the book, definitely Erik smoke behind Sentinel and Combat in panel 1 and 2 and the ground that Combat is standing on in panel 1 has Erik textures. Rob added the helicopter in panel two after getting the page back.
Cool. 90s. Love. This.
Thanks for the video Robbie. I did not follow this series when it came out; thanks for bringing it to my attention. Congratulations on 20K subs✌️
I have this idea that Rob Leifeld should be in a reality show called Rob Leifeld goes to art school. It would get huge viewership and in the end he’d actually be a good artist.
Congrats on the milestone!
After seeing this, a real good issue for you to go through for "in the 90's" would be the X-Force / Youngblood one shot from 1996.
Story-telling 101. Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an ending. Feels like Liefeld skipped the beginning and went straight to the middle.
Congrats on the milestone sir! Putting out great content
I think I bought 10 copies of this book when it dropped🤣
I had never heard of this comic. Cool show.
I remember being underwhelmed by this book when I picked it up back in the day.
I thought having this number 1 was the coolest thing when it first came out. Lol
Station!
More old image books please!
When Image came out I had to have every book and issues that came out
Still awesome
Great video!
History lesson!
These types of comics always seemed very 90s to me even at the time, (Id be what, 11 or 12?), and as a kid i guess they felt generic? I was raised on my Dads old comics, so the art just hit me odd, so I skipped them all (with my limited budget). Also was poor, so i couldn't branch out too much. I was balancing comics with Mad and Cracked, toys and cards and such. So its nice to get a look at what I missed :) Fun series.
I have never read Youngblood. I got the oversized hardcover that came out a few years back, but still have not read it. Sorry, Robbie, I'm gonna let you continue to enjoy the Liefeld Cap alone. LOL
I liked Liefeld on New Mutants and X-Force, and that might be where my fandom ends.
Mystery box!!!!
But you already got to 20K!
Please do this for static
I thought Youngblood was SO cool when I was a teenager. It definitely hasn't held up well over time, though. 😅
Such as they are, I think the better 'IP/characters' are the Home Team Youngblood characters, but the book as a flip book hampers its ability to tell any kind of story/character work/world building. There's just nothing there.
I know people Liefeld but as a newer reader it hasn’t really hit my tastes right
I miss the old days of youngblood until rob leifield left with things unfinished,
I'm just here so I don't get fined...
