One of my advanced tip: If you are stuck on an incline or deep mud with a trailer and are not able to move in Low gear or Auto gear, detach the trailer, take a U-Turn and pull the trailer using winch in Reverse Gear with AWD & Diff. Lock On. Because manual reverse gear has higher torque than Low gear but still has Diff Lock option!
@@marcsaguiguit1862 Winch yourself out if you have solid winch spots. Also not having a trailer attached greatly improves your offroad driving since trailers add a lot of drag when driving in mud. If you're stuck with a trailer, there's really high chances you can unstuck yourself without it really easily.
Here’s a tip. Being in low doesn’t mean jack if you ain’t got good tires 😂 Upgrade to offroad/mud/snow tires (depending on what map you’re on) asap. A good set of tires goes a loooooooooong way
I would love to but you have to be level 6 or higher in most cases. I’ve been plying for like 3 days and I’m only level 4. I’m getting annoyed and bored grinding through slow missions with crappy highway tires.
I don't understand why people are farming money and xp by doing the same contest over and over, I completed the game, level 30 and with ALOT of xp to spare over lvl 30 and 3M cash without doing repetetive tasks.
Collecting trucks, saving up early for upgrades and truck at the beginning of the game. You know, not all people play the game like you. Some rush through the maps, some take their time, and some have specific goals, like completing the maps with region specific trucks only aka. no Tyga, Azovs or Ziks for american maps. And no CAT rescue truck for russian maps.

I've come across your video a little too late. I found out several of these advanced tips the hard way ploughing through taymyr & imandra. I agree with all your points. Very good advice, especially on the yeet fleet. For the toughest tasks & contracts, I've also found that there were designed for coop play. For solo players, that means having a strategy & planning to use 4, 5 or more trucks; each with its own purpose & position. And for the console players, my additional advice is to realise that SR is built with PC as its first consideration. Winching is compulsory in this game & winching without a mouse is both a disadvantage & a pain. So taking into account our lacklustre ability to winch quickly & decisively, recce & choose routes that don't require ninja winching. And for Kola Peninsula, know that the 2 maps are trolls. Very often, the routes & paths shown on the map are not useable or much harder to use. Look for alternative, unmarked routes. We will be traversing them often. A recce that reveals an easier shortcut will be very helpful.
The quiz joke was great. I do presentations to executives for work and I always throw that in and that gets their attention and they always laugh. I think a forced laugh but at the end someone always answers someone else's question and say that was answered, you would have failed the quiz lol
Hi. I'm a new subscriber and a noob at this game. So far, I only sub 2 channels for this game, and it's enough! Your channel and the other one explain everything I need to know at least so far. I only play the game for a week! So I'm really an old guy ( not old old 44 years old ), but a really noob at this game. Thank you for the awesome content 👍
I recently got into Snowrunner and have been playing religiously for a few weeks. I did not know you can sell upgrades! That was my one complaint about this game is that you couldn't test out a vehicle without coming out on the other end a loss to upgrade it. Wasted so much money from not selling upgrades lol
which sucks, some trucks SHOULD be able like the STEP.. Step would have been my fav truck if it could, reasonable good yet a challange to use. But since it for some reasons cant use flatbed crane and trailer makes it not viable.
"High-gear is the least used in Snowrunner"... Meanwhile me, who uses it 90% of the time 🤣 I have keybindings for each gear so I shift them manually on a keyboard and switching from H to A back to H and sometimes L really helps you drive fast but also steady. But yea you gotta shift a lot
I originally bought this game used at a secondary video game and DVD store because the Freightliner on the front cover of the game appealed to me since I am into semi trucks. Sure enough once I started playing it, this game became very addictive and I have probably played this game more than any other game I own! I have probably logged over 200 hours on this game since I bought it nearly a year ago! It became even more addictive with all the downloadable content! I now have about 45 trucks in my fleet and I am currently on the Amur, Oblast region on the game and I am in the process of trying to get all bridges built and roads cleared before I do some of the big contracts on that level! Also the Container delivery contest in the Drowned Lands map of Taymyr, Russia is also an easy way of making money and earning points on the game too!
In your 2nd tip with the crane and sideboard bed how would you get 6 spots with all the trucks you showed? A lot of those shown cant haul a trailer with the bed and crane installed so would be limited to just 2 spots unless I'm missing something.
You're right, in order to get 6 on most of them, you'd have to remove the crane. Most will support the saddle low + crane (5 spots). I'll have to check I still think there's a few trucks that will allow you to haul a trailer behind the bed to get the 6.
A tip for players use the ank mk38 with the high output engine and high range transmission it is a tippy truck but it will hammer through most anything but beware it is significantly harder to use in hard mode due to high fuel consumption
I really can’t believe the backlash they are receiving for the 4$ Apache. I bought the season pass and I’m completely ok with them adding stuff along side to it. I play many other games where I only wish the devs put as much work into there games as the Snowrunner devs have. And I have no problem supporting a game in which I enjoy. I do wish however, it could pull a scout trailer. Really excited for Canada!
Game is still full of issues (and many things that could/should be added/improved, and people are concerned it (Apache) slowed down season pass content. People are also mad at the fact that this is a micro-transaction, something which the devs stated would NOT be in the game.
4:40 what did you just said abuyt high gear, me crying :c i suggest trying get a twinsteer with high range and put in into high on any dirt, it just gets throu everything because theres no auto gearbox
The increased fuel efficiency of the High gear was recently debunked. There is effectively no difference between the gears in regards to fuel efficiency. What the High gear is good for is keeping a constant speed over uneven terrain. Some trucks benefit more from this than others. For example: the Twinsteer will motor through places like Island Lake on High gear, while the P12 could end up stalling.
In quite a few trucks the fuel consumption is less in high gear.. Although most will be slower in high than auto, therefore taking longer to get somewhere, in turn using about same fuel. So on that note you're correct. But for minimal distances or for low fuel levels, high gear in most trucks will us less fuel
Good video, but not as advanced as I would of liked. May be an advanced beginner video. And also most trucks that have a flatbed/sideboard bed attached with a crane cannot connect a trailer unless winched🤷♂️
Hard Mode didn't exist when this video was made. Since then I have added a couple videos with hard mode tips and am currently working on a hard mode series. Check it out by searching hard mode on my channel!
The low gears also have different torque outputs.. Low - putting out lowest torque, high + putting out higher torque. Also, Diff lock is ONLY on in low gears and manual reverse. Even trucks with always on diff lock.
@@mikeschaner5853 I don't thinks so man if you changing the gear reduction to higher and wheels spins slower but the power input stays the same so torque is increasing. unless in game it works difrent

I use this trick as well. Except I don't U-turn I just pull ahead then winch on the back and pull the trailer to a spot where I'm not digging my tires

When you sell a vehicle it will factor in any upgrades into the sell price so selling the upgrades beforehand isn't necessary
