The radar trailer finds upgrades on the map that the watchtowers don't. This is something I wish I would have known from the start. Also on future DLC maps some areas you need the trailer to uncover parts of the map as there are less or no watchtowers. Awesome beginner video!
@@DecPlays_ yeah it took me forever to realize that the watchtowers will make upgrades show up on the map however if an upgrade is outside the area of a watchtower the radar trailer can make it show up on the map.
I bought the game 15 das ago, played 2 hours and I didn't like it,its just too easy, then I saw it has hard mode and now I enjoy in every second of it,tnx for the video
Neutral can be used for keeping speeds when going downhill. If you're in gear and let off from the throttle, the truck will roll down but it will eventually slow down and stop from engine breaking. If you're in neutral, you can just roll without having to worry about losing momentum. It helped me tremendously in my hard runs, whenever i was low on fuel and wanted to save as much as i can.
Downloaded 3 days ago and now I’m hooked. Even on easy I had to learn a lot. My parents were owner operators when I was a growing up so I knew some basics about cargo loading and weight and different trucks and tires, but this game is awesome even on easy. Great video and, once I complete for more on easy, I look forward to hard mode.
@@Zeroxthexdog Great stuff. It'll take some time to finish the game. I wouldn't call it "easy" mode when you start out. Hard mode just had a few more financial quirks like paying for fuel and repairs. The actual driving isn't any harder so no need to rush in. Enjoy!
You do an outstanding job on your video's, I enjoy them quite a bit. I subscribed after the first video, very detailed and informative. You also have a soothing voice, thank you for your content. I'm a huge fan of Snowrunner, spent 500+ hours in Michigan alone. My plan is to 100% each region before moving on to the next, I'm halfway through Alaska now. I look forward to seeing more of your work, thank you again.
I wish some thing like this video was around when i started but 2k plus hours into the game now i still have not beat it and with every new dlc i get alittle further from finishing but i am 65% complete right now and 34% complete in hard mode love you video's keep up the good work and my all time favorite truck is the p512 I love that truck
I decided to download it the other day and struggling just came across your channel and with ur tips hopefully I can learn to play and understand what I'm supposed to do new sub
Hopefully you'll get to grips with it pretty quickly. Just try to follow the same routine for each map. Explore, accept tasks, complete tasks and contracts: profit!
I have a question about fuel consumption; when checking out different engines on a truck it struck me the consumption doesn’t change the stats but in the flavor text it says that the consumption goes up. How is this explained? If I remember correctly it was with the first GMC or the first White Star (both gotten by playing Michigan).
@@Tclans Different engines do consume different amounts of fuel, gearbox choice also impacts fuel consumption, as does activation of AWD. The easiest way to see the difference is to equip each item one by one then deploy and note the idle usage without moving. The three stats don't really properly represent the truck stats. Generally though, bigger engine = more fuel consumed. Overall though there's about 11k litres of spare fuel scattered around Michigan so unless you're playing Hard Mode, fuel isn't much of a concern
I don't think I agree by going map by map but rather treat the whole region as a single playfield. I did this mistake with Michigan to do the first map completely and then moved to the next map and sometimes it's just easier to pick resources on the next map on far convenient or even closer spot than drive to remote and hard areas of current map. Also sometimes there is a fuel station or garage in next region that makes some places better reachable from there than from your initial garage. So my tip is always scout the region as a whole and then prioritize missions to unlock support facilities/fix roads or map connections. You will have greater options of planning your routes when you also count with other maps in the region.
@@JIMN26 you can drive in first person but you'll have much better control from 3rd person because you can see what's happening. I also don't know how much of my audience suffers from motion sickness

Definitely wouldn't call this a "Complete Beginner's Guide..." as it mistakenly assumes everyone who's watching already knows what you're doing. You blazed through the first "mission" of building the bridge, then showed up at the first garage, and never even explained what you were doing or how you got there. Keep in mind, if you're doing a "Complete Beginner's Guide for Beginners" then you should dumb it down for those of us who really are "beginners". Knowing what the game is about is secondary to knowing how to get started. I applaud your effort but this really was a disappointment; did me absolutely no good at all.
Deleting my comments, when you called me a "Karen"? Ok so I'll now assume Karen's personality, I can do that np...No wonder you only have 5K subs and it was obviously you on another account since you waited 3 months to reply and you even highlighted the comment, you'll prob do that to this one too. that is NOT how you get past 5K subs my friend. Firstly, you need to reply to people A LOT quicker than 3 months, secondly do not call your viewers names, lastly...grow a thicker skin man, I even gave you helpful advice, it wasn't like pure criticism. @@thebullhornstreamer4742 Huh? I don't delete comments, nor do I comment on comments with another profile. I don't get to decide what is a highlighted comment either... I'm not sure what you've even reported me for plus if you blocked me then why can I see your comment? I'm a bit confused really, maybe someone else commented.
