- Live cover of 'Long Black Veil' performed by Bob Dylan.
I have been looking for this song and it's no where to be found here, so I made on myself. The song is called Long Black Veil, it was originally performed by Lefty Frizzell and has since been covered by many greats including Johnny Cash, The Band, Dave Matthews, David Gray, etc etc. This version is personally my favorite, hence the video. Enjoy!
I do not own the rights to this song, all rights go to the artists. I'm just a fan :)
Someone needs to say it - Joan Baez did an unforgettable version of this song on her 1st or 2nd album in the early '60s
This Song is LIVING in My head
Awesome,!!!
At 3:00 a photo comes on which looks like a woman. Cate Blanchett played Bob Dylan in a movie called “I’m Not There” , 2007. (Which I didn’t see). That’s a photo of her from that movie, or a publicity photo for the movie. Thanks for posting; I love hearing my favorite singer songwriter covering great songs.
Aah! Here it is again! There was concert recording from this version by Bob Dylan and The Band on youtube, but once I couldn´t find it anymore...
Thanks for uploading this great version!
I can NOT get this out of my fuckin HEAD.
What song writing - a class apart, I fear we will never see the like of Bob again
He didn't write this song
@@rapier1954 That is true.
This is from july 2000 and the back singers are Larry Campbell and Charlie Sexton
The Minstrel Man ❤
written by Marijohn Wilkin and Danny Dill
Simplesmente Linda!!!
YEAH BOB HONEY
Danny Dill and Marijohn Wilkins are the original performers and authors... Lefty recorded first time and then the Band, and the Dead and Nazareth Made it Great! But hundreds have recorded since those Greats Its on everyone's set list. if not i damn sure should be
I love Bob's version but Lefty was the best IMHO
How did you do it? It seems like truth? Visit in a Long Black Veil! Dylans reality version?
hmm,??
Try "The Proclaimers" version.
You will not be dissapointed.
Rick singing this on Music From Big Pink is still the best version
Do you know where he performed this song
I WOULD LOVE 2 know who Bobs back up singers r on this , Any one know.
this sounds like 97-99 or something around then. Background singers would then be guitarist Larry Campbell and multi-instrumentalist Bucky Baxter. If it was later, say sometime between 2000-2003 (I don't think it's any later than that) it would be Larry Campbell and guitarist Charlie Sexton. The two of them did some phenomenal background harmonizing when they played with him.
Philip DeVaul Thank u Philip I JUST CAN NOT stop listen 2 this , I stays in my HEAD.
Thank u Thank u Thank u , I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
y w yw yw
holy shit
Just heard this version was stolen from Dave Van Rock and Dave was seriously pissed at Dylan
Well, he is right. He can't sing. But like a famous producer said to Kristopherson once upon a time..."You can communicate" and and that is a lot more important than singing.
Probably just a poor recording here, but I'm not feeling it.
goddamned, he really is the worst singer
Great song not so much the voice
I Love this, Thanks Dad
