But after a while, I eventually made one friend of a girl who wouldn’t stop trying to talk to me. The different paths we took in life separated us and we barely communicate, but every time we do, it's as if we'd never been apart. i remember this one time, i was crying in music class, my closest friends asked me how i was and i said i was fine, but they knew something was wrong, so he stood there and encouraged me to cheer up! he made me smile and laugh. he is truly the best friends anyone in this universe could ask for; he has my back, he is supportive, and overall an amazing friend. he will always be in my heart, and i will always love him. This was me up until about 2 years ago. I tried so hard and did every thing I could to be a good friend but every time, I would find out sooner or later that they were toxic and the "friendship would quickly end. But then I met my best friend (and because of meeting that friend, I was able to be reunited with my lifelong best friend that I've known since I was a baby!) You'll find true friends one day, trust me. It may take a little while, or it may take no time at all. But once you do, life is so much better! Same. Its hard to let go of them, especially when they no longer want you in their life. On top of that they prolly ruined my image back home. Its been hard, but i made a new, amazing friend and life has been slowly getting better. So hang in there.
I watched this and figured out that me and my best friend are all of these. Even today, we are the best of friends and always see each other when we can. I moved away about a year and a half ago and constantly go and visit my hometown. She never forgot me and always accepts who I am and is not afraid to say what she says. I love her so much and she has made the biggest difference in my life. I hope that everyone finds a friend as good as she is.

I always struggled with this idea. In order to feel that void of loneliness, I tried to fill it with so many people. But it only exacerbated the feeling. In reality, the principle of "less, but more" rings more true here than not.
I have good friends, but some moments shared with people I don’t know have a much stronger impact on me. For example, I was in science class once and my friend was off. We were doing an experiment with the people next to us so I joined a three with two other students who I barely knew at the time, and yet they treated me the same way they treated each other. They made me feel welcomed and valued in a way my best friends never could. They dont interact with me as much as that one lesson, but that memory will always stay in my head, because if us three make a better attempt to be friends we might end up closer than the people I label my best friends now.

Im crying. My friend and I check every one of these signs. We've known each other for over a decade. She drove an hour once to spend a day with me during a really hard time in my life. Whenever we hangout we have sore throats afterwards because we've laughed so much. We both cry at the mere though of not having each other. I really hope everyone can find a best friend like her in their lifetime. Being able to share the hardest things with each other and being able to laugh at the tiniest and silliest things. Best friends are such a blessing.
No offence to you, but maybe you are? Sorry but I am just trying to look at things from a different perspective. People grow and change, maybe the bond/quick wasn’t there anymore with your bestfriend. Maybe they are growing up while you are still stuck in still an immature mindset. Recently I learned my best friend has some views that I don’t agree with generally, but I worked through my thoughts on his views and I’ve come to a conclusion that someone’s views don’t change a friendship by any stretch. Commenting this after a heart to heart with my friend. I didnt have a lot of people I could trust, and wasn’t able to kerp cobtact on top of that. As such, I developed severe abandonment issues. A few months ago, after 5 years, I finally found a real friend. To be honest, they’re just being a decent person, but i’m not completely sure what a good friend is since all my friendships have been toxic, so they seem perfect to me. I really hope our friendship doesn’t end up being toxic too.
Watching this, I thought of my friend who I've known since childhood. I can tell her anything and she listens without judgment. She even gives opinions and suggestions without hurting my feelings. Recently, I told her about another childhood "friend" (I use air quotes cuz based on this video, that person isn't a real friend) who hurt me by saying something awful. We were walking around our neighbourhood when I told her this and when we were near a bakery, she's like "lets go inside!" and I've NEVER told her that I tend to eat sweets when I'm upset. The thing was, I didn't have money (cuz we were only going for a walk around the neighbourhood), so she said we'd come back another time so I could get something. But she still bought two croissants and then told me that I should get the free sample that the bakery had cuz I couldn't get anything. She knew exactly how to make me feel a little better even without me telling her and even went around the issue when I didn't have money. It was amazing and I love her ❤

There was something like that with my best friend a year ago. We barely talked for a year, she was going out with friends she knew for 1/2 months. But I reconnected with her and now our friendship is even stronger. Sometimes you have to let the person for a period of time, maybe some months. Than try to connect with them again and be active. If it doesn’t feel like before, maybe it wasn’t meant to be and you have to let them go so you can find the right people.

Well my friends don't laugh with me mostly they laugh at me. They just focus on themselves and ignore me. They lie all the time. They're always "too busy" to hang out. The fact that I always devote to every friendship, but it falls apart. I always encourage and I'm there for everyone during their hard time, may not be the best in advices and a shoulder to cry on, but I'm there to listen and look out for you. My best friend Julia and I have been friends since we were born (our mothers are best friends and went to school together) and I'm so lucky to have her she's is the best friend I could've asked for and even though we never went to the same school we were always close. Thank you for posting this. I really needed it. Right now I'm dealing with something with my best friend at school. Earlier last week, I couldn't taste. And I decided to let my friend know just incase she started showing symptoms of covid-19. Unfortunately, I thought that I could trust her to not tell anyone. Well, I was wrong. Since she's diabetic she has to check her blood sugar, so when it was almost the end of the day, I was in my 9th hour class, Math, and my teacher gets a call from the nurse. She told my teacher that I needed to go down to her office. I started to panic a little bit because I didn't know why I got called down. The nurse explained to me and said since I couldn't taste I would need to get tested. Now if I got tested without my parents permission, there would be a problem between the school and my parents. Now the nurse called my mom and asked if it was okay if I got tested. She said yes, and I got tested. Unfortunately, it came up with a slight red line. The nurse said that it was just the beginning of covid, and I would have to quarantine till the symptoms went away. Now that I have been home for 2 weeks now, I'm starting not to trust my best friend, because this is the 3rd time she's snitched on me. I just wish that she would have kept her mouth shut. She's been ignoring me for 2 weeks now. I go back to school on Monday, I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid it'll happen again.

I have a friend, and they are that golden friend that everyone wishes for. He actually respects my ptsd, along with my extreme anger issues, always stands up for me, and he is honestly the only person i can actually speak my feelings to. Like honestly, he feels like a therapist sometimes. And while we do have arguments every so often, we always end up making it up in the end. And honestly, he is nicer then my goddamn parents. He also genuinely respects me and doesnt push me to do things i dont want to. I’m always just so anxious that one day, if he decides he doesnt want to be friends anymore, my life would be basically ruined. Update over a year later: We don’t talk as much anymore but we do still talk quite a bit. I’ve expanded and now I have a group of 1-2 other people who we play with. While we do live in very different timezones (he moved a 2nd time), we still have the chance to talk for a few hours every so often. I don’t have much else to say, but yes we are still very good friends.

I thought about my best friend when watching this, this whole list got checked off, I’ve known my best friend since 2nd grade and he is the best thing to have ever existed in my life and I love him dearly. We live in different states which is very hard to deal with but when I come to visit it’s all worth it. We’ve had some ups and downs and even cut each other off once, but we rekindled and are now even closer. I’m so proud of him and I’m so glad I can call him my beloved best friend.

I just watched this video and nearly started crying. It instantly made me think about two special people in my life. The different paths we took in life separated us and we barely communicate, but every time we do, it's as if we'd never been apart.

This was me up until about 2 years ago. I tried so hard and did every thing I could to be a good friend but every time, I would find out sooner or later that they were toxic and the "friendship would quickly end.
But then I met my best friend (and because of meeting that friend, I was able to be reunited with my lifelong best friend that I've known since I was a baby!)
You'll find true friends one day, trust me. It may take a little while, or it may take no time at all. But once you do, life is so much better! Just keep on doing what you do are doing and you'll find some true friends soon enough! 😊

I watched this and figured out that me and my best friend are all of these. Even today, we are the best of friends and always see each other when we can. I moved away about a year and a half ago and constantly go and visit my hometown. She never forgot me and always accepts who I am and is not afraid to say what she says. I love her so much and she has made the biggest difference in my life. I hope that everyone finds a friend as good as she is.

I have good friends, but some moments shared with people I don’t know have a much stronger impact on me. For example, I was in science class once and my friend was off. We were doing an experiment with the people next to us so I joined a three with two other students who I barely knew at the time, and yet they treated me the same way they treated each other. They made me feel welcomed and valued in a way my best friends never could. They dont interact with me as much as that one lesson, but that memory will always stay in my head, because if us three make a better attempt to be friends we might end up closer than the people I label my best friends now.

Im crying. My friend and I check every one of these signs. We've known each other for over a decade. She drove an hour once to spend a day with me during a really hard time in my life. Whenever we hangout we have sore throats afterwards because we've laughed so much. We both cry at the mere though of not having each other. Watching this, I thought of my friend who I've known since childhood. I can tell her anything and she listens without judgment. She even gives opinions and suggestions without hurting my feelings. Recently, I told her about another childhood "friend" (I use air quotes cuz based on this video, that person isn't a real friend) who hurt me by saying something awful. We were walking around our neighbourhood when I told her this and when we were near a bakery, she's like "lets go inside!" and I've NEVER told her that I tend to eat sweets when I'm upset. The thing was, I didn't have money (cuz we were only going for a walk around the neighbourhood), so she said we'd come back another time so I could get something. But she still bought two croissants and then told me that I should get the free sample that the bakery had cuz I couldn't get anything. She knew exactly how to make me feel a little better even without me telling her and even went around the issue when I didn't have money. It was amazing and I love her ❤

There was something like that with my best friend a year ago. We barely talked for a year, she was going out with friends she knew for 1/2 months. But I reconnected with her and now our friendship is even stronger. Sometimes you have to let the person for a period of time, maybe some months. Than try to connect with them again and be active. I love these videos! Now in college I have an amazing group of friends!!!! I have held on to people from over the years and I have always had a lot of friends but the reality is I have cut a lot of people off!!! My best friend Julia and I have been friends since we were born (our mothers are best friends and went to school together) and I'm so lucky to have her she's is the best friend I could've asked for and even though we never went to the same school we were always close. I'm only 11 days older than her (we are both 18 now) and at this point she isn't even my friend anymore ... she is my sister. We couldn't be more different in some ways but we learned to appreaciate that.

Thank you for posting this. I really needed it. Right now I'm dealing with something with my best friend at school. Earlier last week, I couldn't taste. And I decided to let my friend know just incase she started showing symptoms of covid-19. Unfortunately, I thought that I could trust her to not tell anyone. Well, I was wrong. Since she's diabetic she has to check her blood sugar, so when it was almost the end of the day, I was in my 9th hour class, Math, and my teacher gets a call from the nurse. She told my teacher that I needed to go down to her office. I started to panic a little bit because I didn't know why I got called down. The nurse explained to me and said since I couldn't taste I would need to get tested. Now if I got tested without my parents permission, there would be a problem between the school and my parents. Now the nurse called my mom and asked if it was okay if I got tested. She said yes, and I got tested. Unfortunately, it came up with a slight red line. The nurse said that it was just the beginning of covid, and I would have to quarantine till the symptoms went away. Now that I have been home for 2 weeks now, I'm starting not to trust my best friend, because this is the 3rd time she's snitched on me. I just wish that she would have kept her mouth shut. She's been ignoring me for 2 weeks now. I go back to school on Monday, I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid it'll happen again.
A strong friendship doesn't need daily conversation or being together as long as a relationship lives in heart true friends never apart~

oommgg this is literally meee. I have a friend who is honestly a really bad person. She body shamed me, she insulted me, she hit me, she ridiculized me, and also she was so popular, so everyone thought she was doing awesome. Idk why I said this in past when it's literally happening right now. But I have a friend, who is going through the same thing witht the same friend, and we are trying to figure out a solution with a childhood friend of the bad friend. Hope it goes well.

I have a friend, and they are that golden friend that everyone wishes for. He actually respects my ptsd, along with my extreme anger issues, always stands up for me, and he is honestly the only person i can actually speak my feelings to. Like honestly, he feels like a therapist sometimes. And while we do have arguments every so often, we always end up making it up in the end. And honestly, he is nicer then my goddamn parents. He also genuinely respects me and doesnt push me to do things i dont want to. I’m always just so anxious that one day, if he decides he doesnt want to be friends anymore, my life would be basically ruined.
Update over a year later:
We don’t talk as much anymore but we do still talk quite a bit. I’ve expanded and now I have a group of 1-2 other people who we play with. While we do live in very different timezones (he moved a 2nd time), we still have the chance to talk for a few hours every so often. I don’t have much else to say, but yes we are still very good friends.

My best friend was standing on my shoulder the whole time I watched this, she’s my pet budgie. I realized she is truly a real, good friend, whenever I’m sad she’s here to nibble my hair and cheer me up, she understands me and has been with me ever since she was a baby, she’s always making me laugh with her antics, falling into my cups of green tea or climbing up a phone wire. I thought about my best friend when watching this, this whole list got checked off, I’ve known my best friend since 2nd grade and he is the best thing to have ever existed in my life and I love him dearly. We live in different states which is very hard to deal with but when I come to visit it’s all worth it. We’ve had some ups and downs and even cut each other off once, but we rekindled and are now even closer. I’m so proud of him and I’m so glad I can call him my beloved best friend.

I am friends with this one person and to me they’re the best friend I’ve had in my whole life I’ve never been the happiest with someone but I remember when one day they literally said “I wish I had a best friend” that simple sentence broke me completely it felt like all the times we spent together meant nothing to them, all the times they made me happy, all the times we laughed together, all the times they told me something that bothered them was just a lie, a joke and it hurts it really hurts, I know it’s just a simple sentence that couldn’t mean much, but as someone who’s never had a genuine friend or someone to actually call their friend, it really hit me. It felt like to them my existence didn’t matter, but everyone is just the same no one will ever care for me. It just hurts soo much cause with that happening I don’t want to get close with anyone anymore. You can laugh with people and feel happy but at the end of the day can you really call them your friend? But honestly this was just me dumping this out cause I don’t have anyone to consult this with.
