I had a similar issue... but on the other end we've it connects to the catalytic converter. Where did you go find a junk piece to use as a replacement?
Mine's toasted too :), but hey why didn't you at least put a new gasket between those two flanges? I am thinking of welding that piece you have to my old flange and using one clamp only.
There are some good techniques in this video, thank you very much!
Awesome video with great instructions, thank you for sharing this video.
I have an 05 Vibe, about to do this job this weekend.
Great video. What kind of clamps are you using?
Thanjs for this video I think I got the same problem. Is the pipe hanging a bit though? Shouldn't it be held up a little higher after the repair?
That’s the height my exhaust was before the flange broke but it’s possible the hangers are getting old

Your local junkyard should have them intact and you just need to cut it off
@@Maromitch I'm going to sound really dumb... but how do I find a local junk yard to see if they even have my car?
same exact problem on my 2006 matrix.
Very common on them I’ve found. Almost a guarantee

I had to fight with it putting the gasket in. So I did end up putting a gasket in off camera but great eye catching that
