Even though I spent less than two years of my life in Alabama or in Mobile, it is definitely a state that I would recommend for living (that is, if you don't mind humidity and various insect pests). Beautiful beaches, food or low cost of living (compared to California, which I also have experience with). I plan to spend my vacation in Alabama next year. Greetings from Munich, Bavaria
We’re over in Pensacola (but possibly moving to the Eastern Shore soon) and with our yard we had about 6 months not having to cut anything (we moved in late November and everything was already dormant and things didn’t start growing until late April) so it’s not too bad 😊
