He deserves more than a grammy. I feel like the grammys have always been overrated (at least for rap/hiphop). Thankfully the grammys did see all the potential and art in Kendrick but they are still not good enough, generally speaking.
Listening to a rapper (of fan) give props to the grammys is like cheering for something that does not deserve your respect as they haven't respect rap enough and the way they judge what's "better" is mostly based on numbers, not quality

I think the line that will stick with me for the longest while is "in a land where hurt people hurt the most F calling it culture" when I say deep it is deep especially since it's Will that he morphed into. That can be taken two different ways. They actually hurt other people more because they are hurt or they themselves are the most hurt by people or by the culture. There are probably multiple interpretations but since it's Will the likelihood is that they meant hurt people do the most damage. Also was it me or could I hear their voices while he's rapping like I'm so deep into the lyrics that once I saw their face with a deepfake I could actually hear them rapping the verse. It's kind of weird I can't explain it but he did deepfakes differently.

I usually only add songs to my playlist if they are on albums but this one song was so good, I had to give it an exception. Feels like a defining song in rap culture and we haven’t even got the album yet. Feels like he didn’t make the song in the studio and more in a ballroom where he had the actual instruments being played. That does give me a thought as if the whole album will be like that given the picture from the oklama website where he has the disc, the classy carpet and 1700s like feel.

Well, finally somebody gets it. I think people like it because, they know how wrong we've all been. In an artistic way, it shows that people/ fans don't really get it. We lack compassion for one another and real love, all over money. I wonder if it will get dismissed like every other time somebody shoves the undeniable truth in our faces.

We need to be honest with ourselves. Kendrick is not only the greatest rapper of our generation, but easily in conversation for the greatest rapper of all time, and one of the best musicians of any genre of all time. Who else could put Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle’s face on his own and write lyrics meaningful, respectful, and artistic enough to be respected for it? The answer is, and I’m serious here, perhaps nobody except for Lupe and a very select few others. We are witnessing history. Future generations will look back on Kendrick like we look back on any of the countless musicians who are considered to have produced humanity’s most amazing art. He is alongside the Picassos and Beethovens of human history.
