A used bathrobe at a brand new Trump hotel was not washed between guests, an Inside Edition investigation has found. Trump International Hotel Washington D.C., where Donald Trump ended his "birther" stance on President Obama in September, was expected to be clean and luxurious. After checking in to a $900-per-night room, we used a harmless, washable fluorescent paint only visible under UV lighting, to spray the Inside Edition a logo on sheets, pillows and a bathrobe. #InsideEdition

I don't think you understand, Inside Edition paid for a day in that particular room like any other guest, the next day, room was supposedly cleaned after checkout, IE went back in and you saw what happened.
They weren’t chemicals you idiot, they literally said in the first 2 seconds it was a harmless spray. Not only that but it should be expected that a hotel throughly cleans the rooms. So even if it WAS a chemical it should’ve been removed prior to the next guest staying there

Looked up if spray paint comes out of clothing or sheets easily, heres what I got: It's unlikely that spray paint will come out of clothes just by washing them. Remember that spray paint is harder to remove than other stains because the paint bonds to the fibers, especially when dry. If the stain is dry, it's very likely that it won't wash out at all.
So maybe just don't spray paint your clothes and sheets. You can also see in the Trump Hotel robe is had been smudged meaning it was washed and did not come out. :)

I travel for work and stay in a new hotel almost every night. I always bring my own sheets, pillow, and towel. I also bring fantastic and paper towels because more often than not I have to clean my room before I feel comfortable. It is by far the worst part of my job and it shouldn't be.

I used to work at a hotel, I'll keep it unnamed in case I need that job again haha. We cleaned the sheets and pillow cases of every room, but... Never have I ever seen a comforter get washed. I worked there for three months and was never told to change or clean the comforter. The only times I saw any of them get replaced was if there was a large and noticeable stain on the bed...
My suggestion to you if you HAVE to stay at a hotel, just ask the front desk for two blankets (they will for sure be clean) and just sleep with one under you and one on top of you.
And most of the comforter's have bed bugs

Comforters and duvet covers don't get washed as often because they will deteriorate faster. Think about it. Do you wash your blankets every time you wash your sheets?
We lived in hotels for a few months during the year we were homeless. I ALWAYS checked for bedbugs, especially in the crappier hotels. We got lucky. No bedbugs until we got into a homeless shelter. Every room except ours and the one next to us had them. Fvcking disgusting.

Bath robe that's usually never used, they just lay it there neatly on a chair. It's clearly not wet. It's not on the ground. It doesn't look dirty. They probably have some kind of sanitizing wand they use that gets rid of any bacteria on there in cases like this. Then if it looks clearly used they replace it.
My question is can the spray paint be washed off? If not, then the pillow cases might have been washed, but the spray paint stuck to the case.

It's almost always the fault of the cleaners who don't out full effort into cleaning the rooms. I wouldn't blame for manager for the matter. Instead, let the manager know and he/she can enforce the workers to do a better job.

Well, it is the fault of the managers because they're not really paying attention to the work of their cleaners. Think about it like this, if the manager puts too much trust in their cleaning staff, who's to know whether or not they'll actually steal something from the customer luggage. It might not be a great idea, but the Managers should run monthly or at least annual quality checks, maybe even surprise checks to make sure nothing is going to go wrong or that their workers aren't slacking off.
