the screenplay gives so little and Noémie delivers so much it's insane
1:00 The way Lydia held out her hand and then she said: By all means. move at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me.
I didn't even notice
i just noticed the "Dad" cup from Petra and I love it so much
Someone who can re invent themself as Lydia did , finds it easy to forget other people, especially if they are no longer of use to her.
Great fore shadowing. “Changing major to minor”. And then things went downhill for Lydia from there.
Nice observation! What a work of art this is
Incredible read man
I saw this scene as Francesca’s attempt at being close to Lydia, like she finally had enough of hiding her emotions.
Thats creepy, monstruous. Geniality and power in both male and female gender ,does not justifie mental, physical and sexual abuse , codified psychological frustration that brings people to the point of self alienation, depression, and eventually death. Thats a horrendous crime. A marvellous movie by Tod Field, breathtaking and extraordinarily demanding performance of The GREAT CATE BLANCHETT.
Notice that Francesca hesitates before handing her the phone.
So messed up, great acting and story/script!
She was so in love with her and I I think Lidia wanted to have her close and used that feeling first to affair then to slowly keep her both close and with distance to have perfect slave. I think she would give her a position Francesca was dreaming abot but she knew to much of her and Krista so she threw her away like a garbage thinking will be quite as she used to. That was one of her biggest mistakes. Francesca had nothing to loose and was devastated by Krista's death. So she took the score, forwarded all her emails, changed her place to live and Lidia was done.
Petra's drawing it's too cute
Francesca is "us", the viewer. She wants to do a good job, but she's also dour and watchful. She sees the things the pubic isn't supposed to see. That's probably why she's the first to bolt when Lydia's downfall begins.
Cate and Noemie on the Same Movie 😮😮😮😮😮
I liked it.
So Francesca had her keys at one point and could have taken the score?
I kept on thinking "She looks so much like Noémie Merlant". Turns out IT IS her ahah!
She's so cold
Extraordinarily evil character
*_Indeed. Nice to see a recent comment. I watched the movie a year ago and it was very different_*
@@MadKingOfMadaya yes I’ve actually been commenting all over the place lol you can find my 2 cents in a lot of Tar videos, I’ve been dying for conversation& engagement about it bc it’s so fascinating and I can’t stop thinking about it !!
🟥 The film was a flop: no one could deal- and a firebrand of acting that went unnoticed- 🟥
Is it so. I felt so too.
It's unfortunate as this movie is nothing but masterful, sad to see awful superhero movies has changed the landscape of how GA consumes movies today
