I honestly still can not understand how a movie like that didn't win any Oscar.

Academy has stopped being arbiter of merit like it was (at least to a certain extent). It's all about narrative and identity politics, artistic merit can't surpass that unfortunately

its all about politics now, I'd say Oscars are a joke these days. And I also think its because is a brave movie showing too much shadows about human beings and people on power, Lidia is a bit of a Harvey Weinstein, oscars won't rewards a movie that shows the darkness of them.

Great video ! Having the frames out by themselves help me see how beautiful they are, and what Todd mentioned about capturing the Berlin autumn light. Thanks so much for making this !!

I really have to acknowledge how much I appreciate that you cut the pictures by association, thematic relevance and visual content. Car shot to car shot, hallway shot to hallway shot. Really brings out the directing and parabels in the Film. Brilliant video 😀

WOW! Thank you for such a great video you made honoring this great film!!!!!
I have decided not to give importance to the Academy Awards any more. Beyond any political reason or social interest, purely from the cinematic point of view, TAR deserved all the six nominated Oscars. I wish Todd Field makes more films more frequently! And Cate Blanchett……speechless!!!!!!!

I really appreciate your video. It gives me something to hang on to until the film is available in South Africa... whenever that is. 4:53 is my favourite shot.

brown-nude-sand palette. I think the colors have to do with the the ambiguity of the human being, Lydia brings light to the world with her art, but at the same time she's dark as human being.
