Which other Lord of the Rings actors need to be on Hot Ones?
All of them!
Billy Butcher
I'd love to see Sean Bean
Sean Astin
Orlando Bloom
I love Cate asking Sean questions as well like they're having a normal conversation. You can tell she doesn't go on the internet, so she's genuinely curious about Sean and the show.
Anyone see the notes written on her hand?
I think it's just sean most of the time. There's an interviewer, then there's just asking questions and having a chat.... While your on fire
@@uncommonsense8193 DYING to know what was written on her hand
Yeah, she had no idea what he meant when he said "this camera, this camera or this camera". She hasn't seen the show before. I think these high profile guests should have someone give them a quick explanation... or at least watch an episode first. I am surprised she or any famous person would do this if they didn't know what to expect.
And yes, I wonder what she wrote on her hand!
HEY, Hey!, Sharon!
The way Cate shifts between sophisticated scholar and big playful kid, is why I love her so much. She’s a master at her craft but has never taken herself too seriously.
poise and grace a swan would be jealous of. the only Galadriel
Me too.
I was always a huge fan of hers, but “The curious case of Benjamin Button” is when she literally blew my mind. I’m ADHD and that film is THREE HOURS LONG, and I went to see it in the theater THREE TIMES. For me, that is a nearly impossible feat, but I was just so mesmerized by her. Benjamin Button could have been played by probably dozens of different actors, Taraji and Cate are what was memorable about that film for me!! She gets more beautiful every day, she just radiates such joy and warmth!!
@@Miss_Cameldid u know in benjamin button she played that old daisy and also voiced young daisy that was played by other child and teen actor?

Hey Sean, quick question: how on Earth did you hold yourself together while sitting opposite that absolute towering goddess of an actress?
I'd say practice and professionalism.
That's why this show is so good, he is super pro and super relax with all the artists he has ever invited. He makes it look like a conversation between 2 friends.

I realized recently, she is low-key the best actress in the world.
That's changing though. If you're a film fan like me and you've been paying attention; you can see a very slow conversion of people finally agreeing with you. People are coming around man, it's slow, but they're coming around. I've always looked at her almost as the Daniel Day Lewis counterpart we were ignoring for no reason at all.
Meryl Streep has entered the chat 😎
we do realise that she is the MOST awarded actress EVER according to imbd?? and she has a good 20 years ahead. GOAT

I always thought Cate was kind of intimidating because of the roles she plays, but this totally smashed that perception. She is one of the loveliest and most personable guests Sean has ever had.
Just go watch any interview with her. She's so chill.
She's great at playing pretentious people, so I always thought that had to be an aspect of her personality but, surprisingly, she seems to be really sweet.
Tbh you can see it in her characters too. Galadriel showed power and strength beyond comprehension and yet she comforted Frodo when he was in doubt and Gandalf about Bilbo. Hela had a sense of humor so it helped too.
This is such wholesome assumption!
Obviously she's not the characters she plays. But she does carry herself prim & gracefully like a 1930s golden age actor.
You can see her break composure a few times throughout this interview though :)
@@37thraven I think it's because she plays English upper class so well that people assume she's English. Then she starts chilling like an Aussie.
I love how engaged Cate was from the first question. Some people need a few wings to realize how good Sean’s questions are, but Cate was in it from the start.
You should watch Viola Davis episode!!
She was the same Cate was hypnotized from beginning to the end.

Honestly she acted like a fan of the show. She asked really interesting questions as if she watches this show, I like that.
Can we talk about how she handled all of the wings like an absolute champ? Along with being such a class act and a talented, lovely woman. What a legend!!

What I love the most is you can tell she's actually in absolute pain, but she's such a class act that she won't complain about it in the slightest and keeps her composure as she tries to eloquently explain what her movie is about. Ha.

It's crazy to me that there's all these influencers who take advantage of every opportunity to plug their accounts and their merch or whatever, meanwhile CATE BLANCHETT asks "Can I do this?" when offered the chance to promote her movie. She is sweet and elegant beyond words.
I thought she meant "can I do this (can I make it through this interview without throwing up after eating the hottest sauce in my life?").

This is probably the best talk show ever created in human history. The hot wings is an amazing idea, but Sean is a host on a whole other level. This is top notch.
Sean is such a good host that even Harrison Ford would probably sit down with him.

I agree! He is way more interesting than any of the late night hosts. Hope they eventually give him his own show on a major network.
On another note I wonder if Sean was in awe of having Cate Blanchett sitting across from him? To me that's almost like having Meryl Streep sitting in front of you or Al Pacino or Robert de Niro. I feel like people would call me crazy but I GENUINELY feel like she's one of the most elegant, capable, distinguished (and regal in some odd way) people we can see amongst celebs. She's transcended her craft, is accomplished many times over in various areas, and oh by the way also is a classic, timeless beauty; the kind of beauty where you look at her and go "yeah that's not even fair". I loved how when Sean did his spiel to allow the guest to plug whatever, she was confused and hesitant to plug her movie. Endearing, I don't think I've seen a guest confused by that before
She was hurting at the end, what a trooper.
Cate is a treasure...we must protect her.
Protect urself
At all costs!
Protecting people makes them weak.
I always found Cate to be unbelievably striking, with such poise and elegance, while still have a down to Earth quality and a sense of humour, and she did not disappoint in this episode. Such a class act!
I love how engaged she was with Sean and it was so cute how she had no idea about how things would go down. "What's this? This looks, are you going to throw it me or something?"
Thank you to the Hot Ones team, Sean, and Cate.
I 100% agree. I have a huge crush on her and sarah Paulson. their acting is so pulverizing, enigmatic. And both have amazing personalities(seem to😉dont wanna act like i know them personally)
She has an ethereal quality about her.
You couldn't say it better, mate! I totally agree all you wrote down here.
Smart, beautiful, brilliant, diva, real, juman she has it all, she's beyond what words can explain, I'm platonic love with her since the first time I saw her!
I love that they add reverb to coughs
I always love it when the guest interviews Sean and asks him questions. It really shows how much they're invested in the experience in wanting to enjoy and have a good time, and not just treating it as more facetime to promote themselves. Makes for a fun episode!
I agree.
Sean needs to invent a new back story. His answer was "No" to everything 🤣
I actually don't like that as much. The questions are often the same; I want more of the guest. That said, she did ask if he golfs. :D
I started laughing when she started asking Sean questions. She's quite the lady.
True. Well said.
I just love how enthusiastic Cate is towards Sean and his journey in Hot Ones. Behind her achievements and reputation, she’s still so humble. Love her! ❤
She really seems like a fan of his show honestly, she asked him real questions and was very interested in Hot Ones.
@@blackleague212 Yes exactly
I love Ms. Cate, her way of interpreting, her elegance, her personality, her expression, her soft and deep voice, her extraordinary beauty, her good taste…. She has struggled to maintain her composure despite the diabolical sauces she has indulged in tasting. This woman is excellent.
