just drove a Camaro SS today, and it is one great car. Refined, Powerful, smooth, and fast. Incredible value. Feels really solid.
I ain't picky, I like all 3 of them. All 3 of those names have been around a very long time and to me each one has it's own unique respect.
God bless the Big 3!
I'm Chevy All the way but yeap either one American muscle All the way
I would take one of each...... All are amazing retro-looking modern musclecars!👍👍
I don't really like challenger, they're heavy as fuck and get terrible gas mileage
@@cjeljefe7480 they all get about the same gas mileage, and the Challengers looks make it the best. It's still faster than average cars you see in the road.
Then a year later here came the 5.0
LT1 is still bigger
@@pontiacGXPfan and yet, still slower
@@snowh1te208 Camaro is on a lighter platform and more hp
@@pontiacGXPfan oh really? How much did the 2011 camaro ss weigh?
@@snowh1te208 mustang gt= 3,600 lbs
camaro ss= 3,860 lbs
challenger r/t= 4,140 lbs
But still a 4.6 over 100 hp down and still is only a sec slower....come on camaro
camaro is heavy as shit
+88TransAmGTA have you seen the challenger?
mike curtis people always seem to forget something called power to weight ratio doesn't matter how much power your car makes if it's heavy is not going to perform well
I’ve been saying for years. The 4.6 V8 mustangs are greatly underrated. It’s not all about numbers.
Challenger finishes in last place......over and over again
What did the Mustang and Camaro drivers do after beating the Challenger?
Turned off their Xbox's and went to bed.
Morrison Hotel RIP
But the hellcat?
Lmao now the Demon has come for your souls.
@@WalrusWinking demon is a roided out loser. It was that car vs a gt5oo and zl1 1le. Even with nearly 800 horsepower it still finished in third place
just bought a 09 mustang. Could not be more happy sounds great just enough power and my god it looks amazing
One of the nicest years of Mustang out there. Hope you're still having fun with it! :)
chevy all the way but i would take the challenger cause its sexy as hell i luv the look lil tuning and some new parts and itll be badass
I still prefer the Camaro... ;-)
Yes,i buy one of 3 models in one day of my life
i test drove all 3, i went with the challenger rt. retro looks and rider comfort second to none. has plenty of power to me..
rip trans am
@regularperson7 I hear you there. My Dad's first car was a sky blue '68 Fastback Mustang. I personally love the '69 COPO Camaro.
Crazy to think that even the old 4.6 liter could beat these three. Look at the 5.0 now and you realize how much better the Mustang has always been against these three.
The only 4.6 was still slower than the ls3 the new 5.0 dohc is faster than the camaro due to weight the dodge is just heavest but best looking.
+bigkarl24 well thats just like your opinion man
+Daniel Creaturo lol
I hear GM is bringing back the legendary 305! I can't wait for a 5 litre showdown!
Oh well.. after all its a car supposed to get me from A to B ...
so I take the cheapest with most comfort =
Camaro SS
It’s 2024 and these cars despite their age if they’re well looked after and have relatively low mileage which most do where I am located because of winter are still fun , great budget options with enough power and the beautiful N/A V8 sound to enjoy the hell out of all summer.
Most definitely on the endangered species list especially the analog less complicated ones , the older even more reliable and easy to work on bad boys.
Looking forward to snagging one, fell short this summer but as soon as spot the right one it’s going in my storage unit.
Just can’t beat that V8 power & sound!
Really bottom line is what you personally like. There all fast enough to get you rush on.
Just picked up a new 2010 GT a few weeks ago (got a smokin' deal)... nice to know that even though we don't have the 5.0 it is still better than the competition...and hey there is a serious aftermarket for the 4.6 3v this motor is running 9's with a stock longblock...
I almost beat that mustang with my 97 dodge ram....Ill stick dodge
@SToANGER SOME Fords are made in Mexico. Like the Fusion, but the Mustang is made in Michigan.
as always; the Ford Mustang is the best! Yeeeee Haaaaaa !!!
@NedacFilms and the big brother GT will be pushing 400+hp... this may be the greatest MuscleCar/PonyCar era, ever.... Its great times to be a fan of American Performance.
wait till next year. when the mustang comes out with a new engine. :]
@lHustonProductionsl Yeah. That's another reason why i chose the Mach 1; it had power, luxury and a fair price. Many older cars rust way too easily, but you've gotta take to heed they didn't have all the prime-and-protect we have these days for that stuff.
I love it. The smallest, much lighter car is equal to the SS in 0-80 mph which is all I really care about. The challenger/camaro have FAT dash and center consoles. The chally r/t with its 370hp up from 2008's 350, is a 4080 lb boat. Stang is 500lbs lighter. Cam is 360 lbs more. Stang gets better mpg's too. And ANYONE considering for a minute that this is new 5.0 needs to check mirror, it's not. New 420hp 5.0 does 0-60 4.4 sec,
Not to mention the 4.6 ford will go 350,000 miles .......life long Chevy and Pontiac guy but the Ford is simply,y the best of the 3.
best looking camaro till date
The gt500 is geared toward the Corvette (which the vette destroys it) and the Super Snake is not a production car. It is an aftermarket package just like hennessy or lingenfelter. So you tell me
go challenger
Camaro SS is one of the best looking cars I have ever seen. And I am not a big fan of American cars.

Do they have road testing on these cars for 2011? The Mustang might clean house this year...??? 305hp V6 and its lighter than the Camaro and Challenger. And gets 31mpg.
I love all of these cars. I would love to have any of these in my driveway. But the Mustang will always have a special place in my garage.
thats how the mustang should have looked like in 2005, I cant even look at those models anymore, I thought ever 5 years they go under a huge change, they look like slight improvement over the 05-09 ones. I wish the 03 Mach 1 mustangs weren't in production for only a year. I love the look of those mustangs, plus unlike others... the scoop is real.
4 cyl Camry's rule!
Camaro and Challenger are my babies.
@serfdomthwart hell ya it will be. the V6 2011 is going to have nearly as much as the 2010 GT has today. the 2011 is going to be kickass!!
Man, they are all gorgeous. So much pride in our American muscle cars.
cant wait for the 2011 gt, new 5.0 302 with over 400 hp, really should be a great showdown between the camaro and the mustang
It's funny seeing these three back then during what would've been my childhood to now when I'm 21 and each of these cars turned into beasts
I'm a fan of Camaro and Challenger too, but I just got a 2010 Mustang a few days ago and that car is a dream-come-true. I've driven all 3 but the overall feel of the Mustang doesn't make it seem like its just a show car or concept car like the others. Ford has spent the years perfecting their car while their competitors ditched the American muscle for pick-ups and economy vans.
challenger is the worst in everyway exept the look a typical dodge form over function camaro is the best
I own a 2010 Challenger R/T and as much as I hate to hear it the guys right. Compared to these two cars it really isn’t a game player. I truly do feel like the srt-8 is a much better comparison though. The R/T is a V8 yes but it is the smallest V8 Chrysler offered in the car. The thing is the RT is actually an awesome comparison with some of the V6 cars from the other brands due to its weight.
@chfpontiac As a mechanic I can tell you that pw ratio takes a backseat to engine quality, chevrolet has that, also the camaros unlike the mustangs are weighted to a point where the tires dont spin, my 84 z28 is the same way, and yes Ive driven all three my fav. the challanger, go figure, guess mopar doesnt suck
"...a brake pedal so firm and responsive that we checked it for a Porsche part number." I remember that from the text! Is this guy just reading the article aloud word for word?
@whiteyonwelfare the sticker at the ford dealer says 65% of mustang components are made in Canada... just saying
Im looking to buy a new car in the next couple months. Im not sure what to get tho... I was thinking the new challenger or camaro or possibly the 2004 mustang. BUT all these videos ive watched say that the 2010 mustang is the best and frankly i like the 2010 body style (hated the 2005-2009) plus i like the new full glass roof or the hard top convertible.
The reason the Camaro "died" was due to the fact that it was as fast (or faster with minimal mods) than the Corvette, and it cost about $20,000 less..the 'Vette owners were angry when they couldn't out-run an F-body. Anything that runs in the mid to low 12's STOCK for $30 grand is a steal.
if the gt500 and ss camaro are not a fair race then what makes the ss and the mustang gt fair? 6.2 vs 4.6, 426hp vs 315hp, gt down 111hp?? now gt500 5.4 vs 6.2 , 540hp vs426hp,ss down 114hp. looks like a simular race to me.
@lHustonProductionsl Okay, can we come to an agreement? The Challenger is beyond bulky and aerodynamically challenged. Yeah, it may have taken 40 some years, but the Mustang has been in production since...'65? I honestly prefer the older version of all three, not that I don't like the new '11 Mustang, I'd just rather have a '69-'72 Mach 1. Now, the Z28 or 78 Camaro was nice, but wasn't it out-done by the Mach 1 or am I not remembering it all?
Challenger all the way!! ;)
@DrunkwithGunsGamers Uh, yeah the challenger r/t isn't going to do 189mph (which is what 300 kph is). The charger also weighs the most by far! Which is why that horsepower isn't put to great use. In the srt8, its a different story, but not in the r/t.
I know this is a really old video but it drives me crazy when people say "Chevy went a different route, and chose not to go retro" uh this 2010 camaro ss looks simular to my dads 1969 camaro ss... I love the appearance and I'm stuck between the challenger or the camaro right now.
No one says that... everyone says it has retro styling don't they?
@@A500-g6g except this video, it said its the only muscle car that chose not to go retro
@@Robnoxious I wish our car selection in the UK was like u get in America, I would get a c5 vette or gto if I was u
@@A500-g6g I'm from Canada, so older vehicles are normally rotten from the Salt that gets used over winter time on our roads, unfortunately the salt lasts year round a lot of the times, but yeah if it weren't for that and if I had a great paying job I would want either a Chevelle or a gto
@@Robnoxious I meant the newer gto the rebadged holden we actually get that in right hand drive in the UK as a vauxhall it's a great car about 10 thousand dollars minimum here
Hey did you Camaro dreamers even watch the video?!?! The Mustang won, hands down! The GT is as fast as the SS, out handles it on the skid-pad (e.g racetrack), and brakes just as well... AND gets better fuel mileage (if you care about that, which I don't)!
I think Chevy is the best looking
What will be the price of Camaro ss in Qatar
@seanseavey I love the Camaro...it's stunning!
i say a Camaro personally it gives you more "bang for your buck" its styling is nice it handles well the sound system is good it has nice trunk space i see no flaws in it. i know because my uncle in law has one and trust me its a nice car. i wish we could trade in our gto for one. well i hope this helps
I like all 3 of them ! The disign and the comfort is way better than Toyota and a Mazda....thats trash
The new challenger srt8 392 is so bad ass though.
Yes Mustang wins!! That Shelby GT500 is NOT a joke! I love all 3 of the american muscle cars but Mustang is just a beast! No competition!
Born and raised a Ford man. Trucks, tractors, and even our lawn mowers are Ford. However, the Mustang was just never a sports car for me. You can take a look to see my Trans Am, slightly modified to 532 under the hood, and only 8500 miles to date. Recently, getting the fever to build up another sports toy, yet flustered on a decision. U'll never see my corpse in a Gaymaro or a Doodge, so what's a feller to do?
Why Ford does not put time into their Mustang is beyond me.
ck
@Quatermain98526
No the 2010 stang came out in 2009 the 2011 5.0 came out in 2010, unless you live in a place where it is already 2011?
I have a '10 r/t, predator tuned, Mopar CAI , 85mm throttle body, Mickey thompson street slicks, JBA long tube headers, and a corsa extreme exhause. Mopar/dodge all the way man!
hay I get the top speed in dodge charger 5.7l r\t
id rather have a 05-09 mustang gt than a 2010-11
@BRAV0TWOZER0 I was trying to correct the guy that said "Fords are made in Mexico". He was trying to say ALL Fords are made there. I agree with your statement.
i love how the mopar is in the back in the last clip :D
its nice to see the standard Mustang GT crushes the SS of Shevy & the RT of Dodge....
I would really wanna see what would the Shelby Cobra do to them then... !!!
@dubman263 This is the 2010 Mustang, wasn't till 2011 that the 5.0 came out.
The camaro and mustang are both wayy better looking than the challenger not even funny
I think they actually did good around those years in the crash tests.. my dad bought an 05 cause he had read that they were pretty safe. Looking at that crash just looks totally messed up tho, that dummy got a serious whiplash for sure
hey vojkanstrasni
I cant reveal my source or that i even have a source (shifty eyes) but i think you will be looking at a 5.0 mated to a T56 tranny developing 425hp/420ftlbs tq... the engine is for sure, its the same block as the new 5.0 in the new F150... the numbers come from the currently available ford parts lists. Thats a 4v set of heads and cams... tranny info from the fact that the current T45 wouldnt take that stress... Weight wise you will see about 50 more lbs in rear end lbs
source?
Not saying your wrong
but ive got 3.7 4v DOHC @ 295hp/273ftlbs tq entry (T45 tranny)
but ive got 5.0 4v DOHC @ 425h / 420ftlbs tq (T56 tranny) This is based on a 'mustang modified' coyote 5.0 using ford parts. ive also heard nothing about brembo doing anything with mustang... but i do know that BAER is developing a series of COBRA brakes...
and notice that anytime someone versus all three, they always use a year old dodge instead of all being the same year
Can some one please explain the difference to me between all the mustang options I understand the Gt and Gt500..but what is the Saleen..Cobra Jet..Rousch...427R ..Super Snake.,,King of the Road..what is the difference between all of those ??????
gotta love the Stang!
@harrisratx Not quite...
Your Camaro puts down around 250 to the rear. Ford has won the wars for 2010 with the 5.0 GT and the new V6.
They are all great. The only sad thing is only the Mustang is American. The other two are built in Canada.
why comparing R/T with SS ?
i can't see the point of that !
The motor size and hp should have been taken into consideration. since noone buying this car is going to leave it stock. the gt's size and output limits its potential to simple intake output fuel upgrades
@SteveWill1986 Not really, it would make the fuel burn more efficiently, and add maybe 10 or 20 more horses, but thats it...
the funny part is it use to be mustang vs corvette but now that the corvette is a class all it's own ford people brag that the mustang is better than chevys second best
The best quality of all three of these machines is that there made in America! Even though they compeat to be king of the hill, the most important thing is that there is a hill to be the king of....Long Live the American Muscle car... Long live the USA!!!!
No matter what car any of you like but damn im proud to be an american again for these 3 cars! Then we also have the Viper, ZR1 and Ford GT!!!
what does it mean when the car starts shaking at 80mph? is it just the tires or bearing?
i love how they dont test a STOCK mustang against the other cars. they always use the optional "track package" which helps in just about every aspect of the tests and say it beats the others. NO! the OPTIONED mustang performs close to the other 2 STOCK cars. do a STOCK stang and see how it does....answer will be...terrible. and they say its #1 because they never stopped making them? so then the crown victoria is gonna be better than the camaro too right?
@catgirlwee i'm not sure about ford but Chev and Dodge are made in Canada
The Camaro ZR1is better than Fords Shelby GT
the 3 legends are back
I like the old versions of this 3 legends but they look soo sweet
@mitchag191 isn't that still just a rumor? i know it's going to end up in the trucks but chrysler hasn't confirmed it for the challenger. i'd kill to have any of these cars i just think combined with the new mustangs handling upgrades and it's weight the 412 horse power motor will be more than enough to beat any thing dodge puts in the challenger and anything chevy can while staying competitive in price
so does the fully loaded honda accord and the ss whats your point?
@mxfrench12 the V6 mustang in 2011 has an EPA estimate of 32mpg, and not in the least, im 6'2 and i get in my 09 pretty easily, hell i have more problems with my impala getting in and out than with my mustang, the new GT makes a maximum of 26mpg, which is 1mpg better than the 4.6L GT's
the concept zl1 had the 572ci 700hp.
the actual car's produced in 2002 had a 427ci with 600hp, it you got it in phase 3 trim.
phase 2 had 475hp 346ci ls6, and the phase 1 had 435hp with a 346ci ls1.
the dick harrel widebody camaro's had a 630hp 427ci, and their was only one made with a 454ci. it was the last one made.
just go on GMMG website if you wana see ALL the badass car's they've produced.
why are challenger so expensive no wonder only 3000 were sold in june while camaro sold 11,000. the price keep increasing. the new challenger 392 hemi is like 43,000 and the camaro is way better. what is dodge doing?!
Let's face it, everything in the late 70's early '80's sucked. 'Maros were no exception, rated at 165 hp. F-bodys were truely one of the worst built vehicles on the road.
All around daily driving the challenger is the most comfortable roomiest reliable and better on gas than the other two cars a bit slower but really not by much I’ve driven all and I have the challenger for those reasons with 250k miles
Wouldn't a srt8 with the 6.1 be a better line up since the ss is the fully loaded one and the Mustang 5.0 is the fully loaded while the rt is the mid grade dodge
bigkarl24 5.0>SRT8
u stupid.. the shelby gt500 is top line
zl1 is the top of the line not ss
The Challenger SRT8 is equivalent to the Camaro ZL1 and the Mustang Shelby GT500, where again it would come in third place to be honest. But this line up is pretty accurate mid-grade wise.
+regenald neal incorrect, the hell cat is the equivalent to the gt500 and zl1. the srt8 is more on the playong field of the z28 and and gt350r
well heck, the new srt8 has 475hp on a 6.4l hemi. i dont think they need a supercharger. but they could lose some weight.
@89powerup
