    I was actually waiting to see how you put the object on top of the plane and you said “eyeball it”. Still informative video. 🙏

      Lol. You could use the parameters from the advanced tab, but sometimes it might take longer than it’s supposed to. So just placing it yourself is a bit faster.

      Hi, Im kinda new to Blender, but I understand that to put an object exactly on top of another object, you could turn on Snap > Face Project and move your first object over to your second one until it snaps. You could use different types of Snaps, but for this exact purpose, I think this is the solution. I hope I was clear and most importantly, helpful :)

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      @TrifoldproductionsOrg  Год назад +1

      Yes, blender does have a snap function that you could utilize. Sometimes with the snap function b, ause it tends to snap in increments. It doesn’t do it perfectly every time.

    took long enough to reach the align object on surface part, just to end up getting 'eyeballing it'. time wasting.

    look into pie menus for placing origins 3D Cursor and Combine with this add on. thats the best way i understand how to do it but it is a little annaoying that blander has no mode in for example layout where it treats objects as solid and makes them placeable and snapping

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg

    What's the difference between aligning and snapping?

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      @TrifoldproductionsOrg  3 месяца назад

      Aligning is when you place an object or model on a certain axis (x,y or z). While snapping is when the object automatically aligns to an axis or surface. It’s pretty much similar to when you place a magnetic object onto metal. The magnetic object ‘snaps’ to it.

    My favorite thing about blender is you go, "unfortunatly it only works with 1.8 or newer" like damn, oh well, guess I have to go and download the newest version, cuz its free.

  • @nickkirastoulis4617

    an add on? you would think align is one of the most basic tools that should be on blender. 3ds max its just alt-A

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      @TrifoldproductionsOrg  Год назад

      That’s pretty true. There are a few things that blender should have by default but it doesn’t. But have to be thankful for the blender community that make it available.

    Quick question - I aligns to the origin, not the bottom of the mesh. How do I do that?

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      @TrifoldproductionsOrg  3 месяца назад

      To do that, just select your object and go into edit mode by pressing ‘tab’ on your keyboard. To make sure your whole object is selected, press ‘Z’ on your keyboard to go into x ray view then press ‘b’ to go into box selection. Drag your mouse to engulf your whole model in the box. Then click and drag on the z axis (the blue line) until the bottom of your model or mesh is sitting on top of the little orange dot. Then press tab on your keyboard again to get out of edit mode.

      @@TrifoldproductionsOrg have you ever found out what's the issue? For me it's even weirder, I am on 3.3.0 and it worked and then suddenly stopped working. So I assume I did something unknowingly that causes the tool to stop working. I am totally sure it's user error because I am a noob. But still, I would love to *know* my user error. x'D

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg

      @allimJ you could try uninstalling blender and installing it again.

    Need a collision dection information. Roblox has this built into the 3d modeling tool I sadly cannot find a collision. Tool in blender. No videos are explaining it. So I guess I am using roblox studio to make my models then. Blender kinda socks then if that is the case

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      @TrifoldproductionsOrg  3 месяца назад

      That’s interesting. I’ve never heard of collision detection. Blender has features that simulate collision when it comes to clothing and real world physics. What exactly is collision detection? I’m pretty curious about it now that you’ve mentioned it.

    • @ClamBow
      @ClamBow 3 месяца назад

      @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      when 2 objects get to close and you try to make them noclip. Collision detection stops it from Noclipping and makes it Collide instead preventing them from physically going through each other. This is called a collision or a joint surface connection. Is there any possible way to do this in blender. Roblox studio has this feature. Click Collision and make sure it is check marked. Grab 2 objects and test it for yourself you will realize that it will not noclip. Making it super easy to get correct Alignments for making parts or real life objects figures that work right.

    • @TrifoldproductionsOrg
      @TrifoldproductionsOrg  3 месяца назад

      @@ClamBow The closest feature to that in blender is setting up a lattice system to stop a mesh from going into another mesh. Here's a link on how to do that by 3Dnot2D

      @TrifoldproductionsOrg yeah pretty much I need the feature or plug in to show if my the part like for a example A leg to a toy that can actually move. In order to make it work right you need to use a Collision detection system lol. So when you actually 3d print it or something it will work. Now about 3d printing that is what I am actually using this Collision function for...
