I'd say Puss in Boots The Last Wish pulled off the "3rd act misunderstanding", mainly because it's not super long and drawn out, Kitty sees Puss running away, she thinks he's going for the Wish, she calls him on it, and then the fighting starts
We don't have some big emotional scene about how "You lied to me" and him trying to explain himself and her not believing, then going their seperate ways, only to reunite at the last 2nd, It's just over and done with

I watched Elemental not too long ago, and personally, I think it was good. Not one of Pixar's strongest movies, as it did have some elements (hah!) that could have used more work, but definitely a b-tier. I liked Wade and Ember's chemistry throughout this film because I think they balance each other well. Wade clearly comes from a background where expressing yourself and being vulnerable is highly valued versus Ember's family where communication and emotional expression aren't as prevalent which we see in multiple instances like Bernie not sharing his and Cinder's immigration story with Ember for years.
It's why I actually liked the crying game scene because it perfectly demonstrates Wade's environment while growing up. Wade's uncle bringing up his and Wade's mom's nanna's (that's a lot of possessives) death during a game shows how they are extremely comfortable being open around one another, discussing sad memories, and providing each other emotional support. It also helps explain why Wade would crash the retirement party after their break up. In this case, Ember didn't just need more time or wasn't ready to open up to her parents; she fully admitted that she was willing sacrifice all her desires, including Wade and glass-blowing which make her incredibly happy, to run her family store like her father thinks she wants. Had Wade not intervened, Ember absolutely would have stayed silent about how she truly felt and continue to lie to her family and herself. When Wade crashes the party, he knows what he's doing is not a good idea, but he's desperate and thinks it is worth the risk.
As a character who believes in the importance of emotional honesty and support amongst family, Wade has been trying throughout the entire movie to convince Ember to try to talk with her parents about what she wants out of life, but Ember refused every single time. And now, she's doing the exact thing that will make her life miserable: taking over the shop. This is Wade's final chance to not only save their relationship, but also Ember's happiness. It is his last ditch effort to help Ember open up about her feelings and a grand show of his commitment to her. He is not willing to give up and let Ember throw the life she wants away. Unfortunately, it kind of back fires and results in the emotional flood gates bursting which is symbolized by the 3rd act flood climax.
These are just some of my reasons why I think the movie is better than a lot of people are giving it credit for.

I'll NEVER forgive Disney for how they advertised "Tresure Planet". When that movie came out I was 12, I absolutely loved the movie and thought the rest of the world would too. Then I saw the trailer in commercials, not only could I not believe how poorly they advertised the plot, but it was also mind baffling how they spoiled the villian! It always made me feel like they were intentionally sabotaging the film.
Now while I'm listening to critics talk about the poor advertising with this movie, especially among many recently, I'm genuinely wondering if is malicious, or out or touch editors making a trailer to compel to all audiences when it actually works for no one. There is so much work and passion that goes into animation, it's a shame to see Disney and Pixar, Studios that once stood so tall have fallen so far.

As such, I saw it as saying that you don't solve the problems by changing who you discriminate against. In fact I was joking about "Toxic predatority"
Zootopia did it better by NOT making it about race, but about two distinct separate categories, that also have their own individual issues- Judy wasn't the first PREY cop, since they had them- she wasn't the first GIRL cop, like some people say cause they had them- she was specifically the first BUNNY cop.
Elemental made it more specifically a race allegory, what with the fire having their own culture and stuff.
Sorry, I have issues with people who think Zootopia is a "race" allegory when its really all about when you separate people of ANY kind into "Us" vs "Them" catagories. Right wing/left wing, Males/females, Religious/atheists.

But, I don’t know, I didn’t care.

Elemental’s heart is in the right place, and I can’t help but appreciate the movie for that.

This is one of my favorite Pixar movies. It's easily in my top 10 and maybe even my top 5 of Pixar favorites. I've watched it twice and it was even better on the second watch. I think they did a great job realizing this world and I love the core struggle Ember faces of wanting to take over the family shop, but slowly realizing that's not what she wants to do. Instead of being hamfisted like other movies where the character would be vocal and defiant about "going their own way," Ember tries far more to throw her gift away for her family's sake. Instead, it's her family that gives her the encouragement that it's okay to go a different path.
The marketing really didn't do this movie any favors, treating it like a generic love story. The romance aspect is more of a second subplot that gradually grows and develops throughout the movie. Since the story is so well paced, it felt very believable that they'd start to fall for one another. Through each other, they gained insight into each other's culture and appreciated something they had limited experience in.
I also think this movie's visuals are some of the best in any Pixar movie. I don't usually praise a movie's visuals, but they're so captivating here.
One last point on a criticism people have towards Elemental. I get why people say Elemental is a race allegory, but I think people are misreading it. It's more accurate to say that Elemental is about society not accomodating immigrants (like how most things are in English in the US despite how there are many Spanish speaking immigrants that don't understand English). The movie does a good job presenting this issue. Like in the real world, there's not a clear right and wrong here. We obviously can see the situation from the Fire elemental perspective, but the movie does a great job of showing why the other elementals might have these policies. Instead of presenting it as "other elementals are wrong and fire elementals are right," I think the movie instead uses Ember and Wade to show that both cultures have something valuable to share and gain. Because the society has so much to gain by being accomodating, it should be more accomodating to fire elementals. I think that's the real message of the movie.

I guess compared to some of Pixar's previous outings it's passable but Disney has burned through all it's good will with audiences and it's showing at the box office. Some are even saying the flop of this movie might be the end of Pixar as a company where the studio shuts down and the employees disbursed to different parts of the animation department i.e. what happened to Viseral Games, Maxis, and many others under the EA brand.

yes the break up was to be expected from these romance story but I can say with confidence that it felt real and the motives behind it where genuine and understandable, especially as we see her almost cry on the train ride back and her face lighting up when wade interrupted their ceremony showing us that she knew the truth and was just looking for a way out and that was wade.
one thing I did not like from that sequence was wade telling ember was afraid of speaking up which I understand but felt like it made the situation worst with the break up instead of maybe imporviong it but whatever. still a good movie though.

There are so many others such as the traditions, short phrases, and character dynamics within the shop, but it's hard to recall since I've only seen it once in theaters. My friend, who I would consider to be a fairly critical movie critic and intellectual person, was literally in tears by the end of the movie. He even didn’t want to see it in the first place, neither did I tbh, we had just watched asteroid city and my little sister made us go to elemental. We knew it had been ragged on, and it lost a bunch of money, so we were pissed and pessimistic. But it was actually pretty good. Great review man! Love your content so much!

There are some good ideas in there. Unfortunately, the marketing and Non-Binary character have caused many to turn away from the film. I think the animation is one of the best - if you look, they have movement across their bodies. A well-marketed sequel could redeem it. A lot of people criticised the identity-driven plot rather than actual action rather than the character development. I reckon a sequel or a spin-off could expand upon the world and explain certain things.

What’s the problem? I don’t think modern day children are going to be that negatively affected by the existence of the LGBT people. Not only are Ember and Wade really similar to us in character but it also dealt with a lot of the cultural differences we both face and I know I'm speaking from personal experience on this but it's really in my top 5 solely because it came at a perfect time for us and maybe I'm a little biased but I just associate the movie as our own special little thing :) Great video once again! I mostly agree with this, thought I think it's pretty weak how they actually handled the world in practice.
For example: Fire people are generally portrayed as the world being violently racist against them. I don't mean this in a hyperbolic sense. I mean this in the sense that even after setting them aside a whole district (conveniently cut off from the inner city by a large body of water), even though they recognized enough about water's hazardousness to Fire people, that they cut off water to the canal, they still didn't care enough to either keep an eye on the key infrastructure that kept that canal from opening up again to notice a massive hole (except sending one guy who acts like a first year intern) and much more horribly continu to run a mass transit system over firetown that regularily splashes massive amounts of water down on the street, that we multiple times see the main character need to dodge, or take out an umbrella for. This isn't even a case of water being uncomfortable for them. If that water were to splash down on a fire person, that fire person would be dead from the way it's presented. Hell, they even lampshade in the opening that it might even be dangerous to their baby if water gets on their stomach by having the parents make sure the mom's alright there.
This by itself is not the issue, this is just the context for how the world works. You absolutely can have a good story with this kind of blatant racism on display. In fact, you don't even need to 'solve' it. By itself, it's fine.
The real issue? The entire city as explicitly stated by core characters, is made mostly of glass skyscrapers.
Why is this an issue? Because we are shown directly that it's fire people who make glass, and if you think about it: Who else could even make glass? Water people can't work with heat, earth people are more like vegitation people, and large parts of their bodies instantly vaporize if exposed to any amount of fire, and that leaves the air people who... They MIGHT be capable of blowing glass, but inevitably IF they can even do it, they would be doing it in a fundamentally different way than a fire person would. In spite of this, the main character is offered an internship to work with the people who are responsible for the glassware in the city.
From the way this world is set up, the entire visual language of the city demands that fire people be the ones who actually build most of the stuff with all the sleek glassy architecture and vehicles. By all intents and purposes, they are a compltely indespensible and essential part of the world being able to exist in the form it does, because rather than the city being a series of connected balloons that could be suggested to be the expertise of the air people, or clay or moss you could associate with the earth people, or even ice so you could justify it being built by the water people or any combination of these three, the main visual theme of the entire city is Glass, which is also portrayed as the thing fire people are experts at, that is essentially the job that so far as we see, they probably are the only ones who can even do.
Despite that, the entire element of fire and heat in general is shown to be looked down upon, in this city that could not have possibly been built without it.
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think this makes the movie bad. Like I said at the start, I mostly agree with you that it's a fine film, if nothing special, but for a movie that is so desperately trying to make you drink in the scenery and look at how each element fits into the world, (Air people have an air people only sport of Not-Quidditch, the only people we see working with pipes and plumbing are water people, Earth people... Exist... They really did not give them anything huh?) the story and narrative world building appears to be at complete odds with the visual world building.
I can't help but feel like how despite you said the two movies are very different, this might have had a Zootopia sort of rewrite somewhere along the way here, where they might have cranked the plight of the fire people up to 11, since it would make much more sense that the main characters can touch without trouble, there's a pipe system in the shop period (which shop's building physically was a crumbled mess when the dad moved there), and that the fire people are clearly integrated into the society of this world on a fundamental level as evident by the architecture, if in a previous version of the script water wasn't quite as deadly to them, and vice versa they weren't seen as a dangerous nuisance by most everyone else.

I gotta be honest. I really hope they decide to make some kind of Disney Channel spin off or sequel series to this. I just saw this movie, and while recent Pixar movies have been okay to me, I have not had this much love for a Pixar story since the golden years of Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo. I'm not even joking. I truly view this movie in the same light as those movies. You'd be surprised at how much I'm a sucker for animated love stories, which are my favorite kind of animated movies, and while what they did in this movie is cliche, it felt like something you'd never expect from a Pixar film. I've never really seen them handle romance in a similar fashion as the main Disney studio does with their movies, but wow, did the romance in this movie blow me away to the point i would really love to see a continuation of the story to see they're relationship grow.
They could even set the series within the months before they even have to leave Element City, but after seeing this movie I would just love to see these characters again.

I loved the doorman battle, especially since they both are like "OK, you're pretty good" As for the second act breakup, yeah- it was a little cringe but it didn't take me out like it did you. As for the touch- it was unexplained, but I felt it was a good scene- it just kind of makes you wonder why but they don't explain it. My head was that they could but they were afraid to even try- but even that is a dumb excuse.
In the end- I see it as a good movie- not AS good as Pixar's heyday- but ABSOLUTELY better then what Disney's been churning out otherwise.
Also, I don't think Lightyear is ALL the reason behind Elemental's failure- it's also like you said- Disney has been VERY dumb with marketing it. They've invested too much more into Little Mermaid, and they DID treat it like Strange Worlds- which I didn't even know was out when it released.

im about to go nerd on ya for a sec so hold on, in a scientifc matter them touching is actually possible as their is a phenomenon called Leidenfrost Effect; in short when water interacts with a object (such as a red hot steel ball) which has a temperature way higher than its boiling point of said water then a shield of vapor forms between the surface of the hot object and the water wich protects the water from instantly vaporizing and slows down the heated objects temapture's decrease in temperature substantially.
in short I just wanted to say that the scene of them touching is basically possible through the Leidenfrost Effect which explains the vapor that shoots out from the close up scene and the vapor that forms every time they touch. so yea it can be done and the movie probably used that as the explanation of why they can touch without actually explaining it instead going for the visual story telling as we saw when the first touched. all in all it was a good scene and can be backed up with science but it is a animated movie so don't take things so seriously and just enjoy the movie as I liked elemental aswell.

I really really liked the movie to be honest- I think it’s not for everybody, but seeing as I went to watch it with my boyfriend, who is a child of two immigrants, it was really relatable for both of us to see how it’s not really a sake of “my dad doesn’t like water people” and more of a sake of “I don’t want to let me dad down and I feel like I can’t ever live up to his expectations considering he uprooted his entire life in order to give me a future here”.
As for the flood in the third act, I think it was important because it essentially destroyed everything that her father worked so hard to make.
I also think the animation is something to ride home for. Wow it’s incredible- I remember when I had my doubts looking at 2D concept art for this film and I was like “how the hell are they gonna do this”
I do think that this movie was made for adults and more mature audiences, but I think it was great.

Mainly from a worldbuilding standpoint, which a lot of your videos have helped me understand the importance of its integrity. I guess the fence itself could be for stopping Earth elementals at minimum, but it won’t stop the 3 others, and it might also be rough depending on the location of said fence. As for me, I think my reaction is best summed up with: by the time the third act rolled around, I turned off the movie because I was just that bored.
If I had been the director, I would have cut the romance parts of the film altogether, because clearly more emotional weight was put on Ember and Burnie’s relationship as father and daughter. THAT’S where all the stakes were truly lying, THAT’S the relationship I was rooting for and was worried about. Ember and Wade? *sigh* I’ll try to keep it brief. I agree with you-Wade is unbearably annoying when we first meet him-but then when we get to know about his past with his father, he makes sense, and I sympathise with him. Are we going to explore that *faucet* of his character more? NOPE. ONE SCENE OF EXPOSITION IS ALL WE’RE GONNA GET, MOVING ON!!! It’s not as though, when you’re in a romantic relationship, working through your personal problems so you can be a healthy human being and not poison the relationship is an important thing… or anything… And then, I have trouble picking up on any cues that the two of them actually like each other. Wade just… asks to hang out with her again. It’s more like they’re platonic work buddies. Judy and Nick from Zootopia oddly had more chemistry. And they just… spend a lot of time doing nothing around Element City… like, sure, it’s relaxing, and I appreciate the slower pace, but… this is supposed to be a rom com, right? As in, one of its main storylines is this couple’s budding relationship, right? So then… why don’t we actually get to see that more? We see it sometimes, in the forced exposition scene in the hot air balloon where we randomly bring up that flower, and then Wade takes her to see that flower later, but… that’s not a relationship. That’s a girl, telling a guy about something she’s angry about, and him doing something nice for her later, and all of this exists in a vacuum. Does Ember give a flying feather about Wade’s relationship with his dad and how that’s CLEARLY been having a negative effect on him-the man is literally directionless in life and she just doesn’t care? No, we need to make Wade INEXPLICABLY OBSESSED with Ember, simping over her, complimenting her ALL. THE. TIME. Asking about HER dreams and what SHE wants, all the while he is literally an amorphous blob of a character with NO OTHER MOTIVATION than “CUTE FIRE GIRL, MUST COMPLIMENT. YAS QUEEN, SLAY!” And then-this part cracks me up-he tells her “why should anyone get to tell you what to do with your life?” Right? But then, she makes the VERY mature and responsible decision to put her family first and take over her father’s shop, AND HE GETS MAD ABOUT IT!!! Like, she’s CHOOSING THIS!!! This is HER DECISION!!! AS AN ADULT!!! AND HE’S SO BUTT HURT ABOUT IT THAT HE CRASHES THEIR PARTY AND PRACTICALLY BEGS HER TO CHOOSE HIM AND THE GLASS JOB INSTEAD!!! LIKE, DUDE!!! DID YOU REALLY WANT HER TO MAKE HER OWN CHOICES, OR JUST MAKE OUT WITH YOU?! Ugh… and that’s where I stopped watching, so… the other thing is that aforementioned glass artistry job. Ember has a natural talent, sure, but never once during the movie do I remember her ever having a passion for it. There’s never a moment where she actively wishes she could do something more with it, or pursue art or anything. Wade’s mom is the one who FORCES IT ON HER. SHE’S the one who sets it up and gets her that interview, and SHE’S THE ONE who encourages her to go, despite the fact that Ember clearly doesn’t want to at that point in time. LIKE, GUYS, HOW CAN YOU BE THIS UN-SELF-AWARE?! And Ember doesn’t need to go far away to pursue that dream-HER FAMILY OWNS A STORE. SHE CAN MAKE AND SELL HER OWN ART THERE. SHE CAN BECOME SUCCESSFUL AT SOMETHING SHE LOVES *AND* RUN THE STORE AT THE SAME TIME. BRUH. And by the way, Ember’s whole “outbursts” thing? I hate how they try to make that seem like it’s her emotions’ way of trying to tell her that she’s not happy working at the store. NO. XD that’s not how emotions work you-oh my goodness, I gotta stop before I hurt myself. This emotional reaction is very real, it’s human, it’s honest-people do experience it. But you wanna know what it really is? I’ll tell ya. It’s not an excuse to bail on your family, it’s your FLIPPIN INSECURITIES AND ANXIETIES ABOUT FAILING TO RUN THE STORE AND DISAPPOINTING YOUR DAD, AND YOU WOULD FEEL A LOT BETTER IF YOU JUST STINKIN TALKED TO HIM ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF BOTTLING IT UP ALL THE TIME!!! Like… see a therapist… girl. Then there’s the whole, “Ember is better when she’s with Wade” stuff, and she’s less angry all the time. This is not a good way to show that their relationship is “meant to be,” as the movie tries to tell us. She’s in love. She’s in a better mood. NO STINKIN DUH SHE’S NOT GONNA BLOW HER TOP OFF ALL THE TIME. It’s like the writers want to send the message, “ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR UNBRIDLED AND UNCHECKED EMOTIONS BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS KNOW BEST!!!”
    *inhale*
NO!!!! FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, PLEASE STOP!!!!
“Following your heart” is an old saying, and it sounds all cute and wholesome and healthy, but girl… your heart is still you. Are you good at making critical decisions? If the answer is no, then why would you ever assume that your “heart” is better at it? More often than not, your “heart” will lead you straight off a cliff. Your emotions are not your brain. They are not your master. You are not a slave to them. They shouldn’t be controlling you. Understanding and expressing your emotions is one thing, but letting them tell you how to live your life? Following their every last whim? Doing everything because “you felt like it?” Not only is that dangerous, it’s irresponsible! No one gets up in the morning and says, “I really love changing my childrens’ diapers and doing the dishes and taking out the trash!” We don’t always do things because we feel emotionally compelled to do them or because they make us “feel good” inside. We do them because they’re good, necessary things that NEED to be done, even if they don’t make us “feel good” in the moment. Life is not an endless pursuit of pleasure through emotional gratification, it’s hard work, building toward a better future, which hopefully includes your family and other loved ones. Good things take hard work. Shallow meaningless things take emotional carelessness.
    …sorry, that got long… whoops…

Based off personal life experience, Wade did the right thing when speaking up for himself... even if it exposed Ember's secrets. Wade living the rest of his life without openly expressing his own feelings publicly tends to lead to unresolved trauma. Shame on Ember for keeping secrets and trying to people please everyone in the first place. People need to learn how to openly and honestly communicate these days.
I do absolutely agree about Wade coming back to life. He should have stayed dead. He sacrificed himself completely for Ember and it wasn't until then that Ember learned her lesson.

We are just tired of the sanctimonious patronizing from corporations who have zero actual interest in people (only money) but act like they have the moral high-ground on every matter. Moral grandstanding sells nowadays with the hyper-politicized youth who have to scream every message at the top of their lungs; but for 99.9% of people over the age of 13, we have already learned and been employing the "live and let live" and "let's all live in harmony despite our different backgrounds" messaging since the late-1960s. It is the furthest thing from a revolutionary message and just comes off as insulting to be so blatantly shoved in our faces. Pixar and Disney act like they're breaking ground, but their messaging has been taught to preschoolers for over half a century now.

Wade’s actions in the end at the party Didn’t bother me as much as they did for you. The truth had to come out somehow, and Ember’s biggest character flaw was her issue of bottling up and not expressing emotions, literally leading to violent outbursts. Him pushing her to do the opposite of suppressing everything even though it shouldn’t have been in front of everyone besides her family, was likely better for her in the end.

I was pretty underwhelmed with Inside Out, so I don't think I'm going to even bother with this movie. If you like these movies, that's great, I'm glad you do, but that's just my personal taste. Thanks for the video, I always enjoy your thoughts on movies.

imo the movie was pretty nice, and I feel like it’s more about a difference between togetherness and mixing
No, elements CAN’T mix, but that can’t stop two very different people from being together in a relationship because it’s not about mixing given the fact that mixing would literally destroy them both
I just wish that the film was hinting more to that, I feel like it’d be a more mature way of showing a relationship between polar opposites and avoiding toxic or codependent relationships that can hurt everyone involved because it’s literally fire and water: they CAN be together, but they shouldn’t mix

20:00 No, I was thinking the same thing. I also got a bit emotional at the end. Maybe more than I should have. But I had completely forgotten about the bow of respect. So it shocked me into tears after being taken out of the movie by that scene you mentioned. As well as the fake death of Wade. Not the best Pixar movie. Far from it. But it is better than TS4 and Cars 2

I enjoyed Elemental myself pretty well despite the flaws, felt the only element that was kinda neglected was the earth element. Pivoting towards some of your complaints however? I personally thought the bow was a perfectly fine scene, and the reasoning behind why Wade and Ember can touch is using the Leidenfrost effect I believe. Same reason humans can slap molten lava. If Wade being able to reform from boiling away works out (even if it makes worldbuilding a bit strange), then it should be similar there.
Also, while you're taking your time with Lightyear. I'd consider addressing a small mistake you made in the initial review. Buzz didn't say "in case I got out alive" but "in case I got out of line". As getting out of line does sorta justify why Sox would have a tranquilizer. To be safe in case Buzz lost his mind from the failed flights and got violent.

I watched Elemental and was one of those ones that cried multiple times. Why? I can’t quite pinpoint. Perhaps the art in combination with music? The deep self doubt within the lead fire. I can’t say. Elemental is in my top 5 even with me recognizing the flaws of it that you discussed :)

Can we talk about how Ember could have used her glass blowing to go see the tree instead of an air bubble? The air bubble doesn't make any sense on how it works and nearly kills her. The glass blowing would have showed her talent for it again in a big way.

i'd also say that ice would be by far the most dangerous to the 3 primary elements that reside in the city:
      - Water would be weak to it bc, well: ice is just that in solid form and would have water as their primary consumable
      - Earth would be weak to it bc irl, it suffers greatly from ice needles (or frostbite) in the winter, as well as plants having to hibernate at that point
      - Air would be weak to it bc when cooled down, they precipitate on

    • @fastlane7775
      @fastlane7775 Год назад

cont bc for some reason i can't continue my reply:
-... themselves, causing them to become heavier or worse, turn into water.

I've seen it a few times and I think the romance between wade and ember is nice (where before watching it I assumed it would be another standard love story rom com type thing) but I thought their scenes together were sweet. The immigrant story really touched me as well )despite not being an immigrant) but the want to impress your parents and continue their legacy while not really wanting that and knowing you won't be happy but wanting to make them proud and continue their dreams really hit me due to similar feelings of wanting to be better in my parents view. I just felt like parts of it were rushed and didn't make really good sense. I didn't like the break up, I didn't like the retiring party scene, I didn't like the ending climax with the flood, I didn't like how gale came around so quickly, and a lot of times when Wade would be being Wade like at the air ball scene just felt kinda cringey and unrealistic (which yeah I know it's a movie but still). I feel like it was like 5/10, you can watch it and enjoy it, but it's no where near movies like ratatouille, WALL-E, or Incredibles where you can rewatch and rewatch and rewatch and take away something new each time. But it's also not as bad as toy story 4, the good dinosaur, or Incredibles 2. It's fine. And sometimes that's the worse thing a movie can be. It's not bad enough for people to make long rants dissecting each failure, and it isn't good enough for people to praise each facet. It's just fine.

The point you had with the trailer for elementals using the worst jokes and writing moments to adverstise the film kinda got to me. I also get mad when the trailer's spoil good moments in the movie, but you also have to actually sell the movie...
A trailer I think did a good job on this was the no way home. They even re-did shots to take out the other spidermen. for the trailers.
One thing I wish budget was put into was creating dedicated content for the trailers. Which I dont think is impossible for huge studios.
On the point about how they touch. There's this really sweet animated minecraft series where Steve and the mobs live together, and there's a reoccurring theme of the characters letting themselves get het hurt for the sake of better connection with the other character.
Did the movie animate them getting smaller in size or atleast taking "damage" from touching each other atleast?
