@@Inactivechannel-r6 Honestly I'd say that's been the case since 2011. Pixar have made a few good films since then such as Coco but generally everything went downhill after Toy Story 3. In the same year that Dreamworks gave us Kung Fu Panda 2, Pixar gave us Cars 2.
Come on, Disney was making TONS of universally panned movies in the early 2000s and they managed to get back on track in the late 2000s, so why doesn't anyone think that Disney may eventually bounce back?
They need to make Bo the twist villain for TS5. It wouldn’t even be forced as she is already a jerk to woody and has an entirely new personality. Heck, they could even have her manipulate woody into staying with her throughout the movie
I hope Toy Story 5 is the real wake up call for people to think twice before they watch stuff. Its funny that people call you out for ranting 6 hours about TS4 and call you a nitpick, but they don't try to refute the arguments

Yeah I'm not going to defend TS4, but there were a lot of arguments agaisnt the specific points thi guy made, that just got completely shoved aside. What I don't understand is how you can have an extremely flawed movie that is essentially a content farm, and he still needed to make up reasons to be upset. One I specifically remember is the trash can the school. He's complaining because it isn't lunch time yet, so the trash can shouldn't be full, but you can clearly see that there's no food in there, there's trash. Trash from the crafting the kids have done. And then he complained about forky being a spork when lunch time hadn't happened yet, and the obvious answer is that disposable eatery is often used in kids crafts. Not the end of the world, but literally no reason to find reason to complain when there are already a million staring right at you.
I genuinely don't understand how people can look at the ending of Toy Story 4 and say "Oh, that's such a heartwarming and emotional ending." Dude. Woody abandoned his friends and kid just for a woman who treated him like 💩. This is not heartwarming." Very interesting to hear your thoughts. I'm personally not optimistic about TS5, but I do hope they can learn from their past mistakes.
The thing is those themes could work well in a different movie that was unrelated to Toy Story. Like if they didn’t choose the franchise that is totally incompatible with the message they were trying to bring across it could be seen as a heartwarming ending.
Bc they just believe the film’s words that “Bonnie doesn’t care abt woody anymore, he needs to move on” “Bo peep loves woody” “being a lost toy is better than belonging to a kid” despite the movie displaying the opposite of all these sentiments. They keep saying Bonnie ignores woody but show her still caring for him. They say bo peep loves woody but she treats him badly and doesn’t apologize. They say being a lost toy is great but do nothing to paint it as even comparable to being loved by a kid. The movie just plays mind games with the audience like how they try to trick them into thinking bo peep always acted like that or that gabby gabby actually earned her happy ending
I just hope that if Pixar brings back Lee Unkrich for this movie or someone who truly understands Toy Story, I would ABSOLUTELY love if they apply the same technique Shrek 4 used and pretend the previous movie never existed and turn the plot on its head for the best. Then again it's just a small glimmer of hope if it just sinks below rock bottom...
Shrek 3 is ignorable. All they needed to do is keep shrek's kids and keep the king dead and that was basically it, they could completely forget about everything else that happened. This? Woody has left all of his friends and his kid for Bo while the rest of the toys are going back home. I guess they could make a very awkward U-turn and have Woody immediately change his mind and go hitching rides on cars back home. That would definitely be jarring but it would be a U-turn directing us away from the depths of hell into the forest of mild contrivance so I guess we just have to accept if they're going to fix this it ain't gonna be perfect
Or everything is more of the same and Toy Story 5 will damage things further beyond repair and we'll get series on How Toy Story 5 destroyed everything *Again*!

Lee Unkrich (the director of Toy Story 3) retired to spend more time with his family so yeah… I’d say Pixar’s best bet is Pete Docter (he directed/wrote Monsters Inc, Wall-E, Up, Inside Out, and Soul; he also wrote the stories for the first two Toy Story films).

The worst part about today’s entertainment is that even shows that know when to end can’t die in piece. They always gotta come back, and because the only reason they’re coming back is for money, quality flies out the window every. single. time. Hopefully this new entry can leave the ending a bit higher than 4 because at least we could get something good out of this mess

I have no hope. For two reasons: 1. Disney is only doing this because the company is failing and they think further milking beloved franchises is going to get them out of the hot water. Producers with that kind of mindset do not have the passion required to make a good story. 2. Every single time I think writing can't get any worse, I always end up being more disappointed. If it turns out to be good, that's great. But even then, that will only tell Disney that they can milk more money off these IPs and that creating new ones isn't worth the risk.

I mean, I don't have hope either, but even products that are clearly cashgrabs can turn out great w/ the right team behind them. They are not hurting at all. Google their financials and you will see they made more money in the last few years than ever. In 2022 Disney made 82.72 billion dollars and that is a 22 percent increase over what they made in 2021. Tell me how making 22 percent more than last year is a sign of a failing company.

I'm such a fan of Toy Story and it was truly heartbreaking to see what they have done to the characters and the whole story in the 4th part... 3th was the masterpiece. Hopefully, they won't go this path of destruction even further.

In my opinion, the Toy Story franchise should have ended after the third movie, since 3 is often considered the best of the four movies due to having moments that are both heartwarming and tearjerking. 4 contrasted too much from 3, particularly Bonnie's relationship with Woody.

I think making tier lists videos is a great idea because they're fun, quick, and easy to make, so you can do them as short breaks from your long analysis videos.
Look at it this way: when you are the first thing on many people's minds upon the official confirmation of Toy Story 5, you know you made an unforgettable retrospective, and that's definitely something to be proud of. On my thoughts of Toy Story 5, I am wondering two things. If they do give all the toys proper roles again, who will be cast as Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head since Don Rickles & Estelle Harris are no longer with us? And how will the premise go in relation to Toy Story 4? Will it have one scene focus on Buzz's group and have the next scene focus on Woody's group for the duration of the runtime?

I doubt it. Lightyear was a spinoff, hence why they had a different voice actor. I know there have been rumors that Tim Allen wasn't cast in that due to his conservative political views being increasingly out of sync with the woke direction Disney has recently taken, but judging by his Tweet in response to the news he seems to think he'll be in it. I certainly hope he is.

I hope Lee Unkrich come back as a director for the series, I feel TS4 lack the charm of the original pixar team (despite the fact Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton were involved on the project) TS5 needs that the people who make this characters awesome (og pixar team) are back with all the plot, script and world building again to at least feel that they care about the saga and feel a little less of a cashgrab movie. And I don´t know how are they gonna replace Don Rickles and Estelle Harris for the Potato Head couple, they´ve got lucky with Blake Clark to replace Jim Varney as Slinky but to replace the Potato Heads, I don´t know, hopefully Woody, Bo, Jessie and Buzz will be the only protagonist of the film in order to not replace the voices of 2 important toys of the gang. (And men, do not re-use the soundtrack for the previous movies, that´s one thing that I hated about TS4)
Don Rickles died before Toy Story 4 was released, his character was still in the movie but he was reduced to just saying a few lines here and there. They'll do the same for Estelle in 5 without having to give her a new voice actress, hopefully.
@@jerelminter The good news is they have hours of footage for Don Rickles he recorded over 750 lines of dialogue for midway mania alone also he was in all 3 films all the shorts, tv specials, video games, the potato head toys,commercials and the ice capade shows they got so much dialogue to work with I feel like they have enough for multiple movies plus with AI a thing now they can keep Don Rickles voice alive for a long time

No, there's always potential for this to be worse. 1) It could be a whole new Woody doll from Al's Toy Barn. 2) Buzz could leave with Woody and Bo. 3) Their meet-up is completely contrived, Woody never confronts the reasoning behind his decision at the end of 4, and he decides to still stay with Bo despite being able to rejoin with Buzz and the gang for a short while and given the opportunity to think about his decisions. Whatever the story ends up being, i know there'll be a really bad Film Theory video on MatPat's channel.

At first I was very angry at Toy Story 5’s announcement and with the fact they’re doing yet another Toy Story movie, but honestly as time went on I started kinda being excited about it since, who knows what they’re gonna do for it, although I am still skeptical, also very interested to see the Cars on the Road video as I am an avid Cars fan (can you tell) and I personally thought the series was just ok, didn’t really take it that seriously since it’s not a main, numbered-entry in the franchise, but I’m curious to see you presumably tear the series to shreds, especially after how you convinced me about Toy Story 4’s utter idiocy, overall excited for the future of this channel, keep going strong Trevor!
They are just milking the series to the grave. Seriously, the fourth installment was dreadful enough, but it had a decent conclusion to the series. The only reason I can think a 5th installment being produced is for the sake of money, which is the exact reason why. Unless this 5th installment is going to fix things from the previous one (and actually make it work without indefinite plot holes, an underwhelming plot, or anything else.) I highly doubt it's going to be any good. Modern Disney is (obviously) remarkably tone deaf. Going off-topic, but I was about to watch the second season of the Proud Family reboot, until that "Slaves Built This Country" chant came up. As a black girl, that ignorant claim drives me mad. Nowadays the Proud Family just wants to shove politics up everyone's butt in such a ham-fisted way (much like Toy Story is now) without any nuance of the original. Honestly, I'm happy I don't watch modern Disney movies or shows anymore. The closest thing to a "modern" Disney thing I still watch is RC9GN (which is actually good, besides Howard).
I just hope that DreamWorks succeeds again this year. Their ' Bad Guys ' movie and ' Puss in Boots : The last wish ' were absolute bangers. DreamWorks are a bit hit and miss but their hits are always amazing. Plus, I have always liked them more than Disney and Pixar. And yes, Disney can shove their woke preaching right up their own arse.

Y’know, if you like the owl house (which is obvious since you’ve used so many clips in the video), I’d recommend watching Amphibia. It has a few similar themes to the Owl house but it’s still good. Unless you’ve watched it already

First image of Toy Story 5 at D23 expo suggests it’s going to retcon TS 4 when Woody is with the gang alongside Forky and the plot will be about the toys vs electronics (phones, tablets etc) We’ll see where this is heading

Okay, weird way to phrase it. By that I mean, is it possible that Toy Story 5 is being made because someone at Pixar saw the series? I know, it seems unlikely that that would've served as their motivation for creating Toy Story 5. But Toy Story 5 being made in the first place already seemed impossibly unlikely, and yet here we are. If someone at Pixar has seen the series, then that would be amazing. I can only hope.
In my opinion it's a possibility they could ignore that Toy Story 4 existed or at least some plot points because in Cars 3 they did not even reference Cars 2 besides one character Jeff Corvette so yeah they do have a history of just ignoring thing that didn't work.
Dude; there is a saying when it came to learning, it is easier to learn bad habits than it is good habits. The same rule applies to writing, there are writers I knew growing up where I thought, "this couldn't get any worse" and yet it did.
TBH i know that the franchise wasn't over yet. I know the end of the 4th film seemed like closure for woody and his friends, but there are still so many adventures they can go on. It's clear that the full story involving toys isn't over yet. Perhaps this movie will involve buzz and the gang going out to find woody and bring him back to Bonnie. Similar to the plot of the second film, which is my favorite.
Yeah. I think the only possible way they could obliterate the story EVEN MORE is if they were to pull a "It was all a dream!" Thingy in 5. The toys were never even alive in the first place. The 5 movies were nothing but a wild dream Andy had overnight while sleeping with his glowy Buzz Lightyear action figure. And even then, I don't think that would be a thing ANYONE at Pixar would even come up with, considering that would be an extremely unsatisfying conclusion to the... Quintrilogy? As a whole.
I rewatched the third one the other day for the first time in a while and it still has so much emotion, humor, charm, creativity and intelligence within its writing. That prison escape scene still is one of the most intelligent sequences ever written at Pixar. It feels like a Toy Story movie and still is the best way to say goodbye to Andy and the Toys. And I feel none of that watching the fourth one and I feel even angrier that they are continuing to persist in ruining it. It’s really heartbreaking to watch Pixar ruin Toy Story 3’s perfect conclusion for money. Money is temporary but legacy is forever.
And maybe Andrew Stanton and Pete Doctor are going to have some involvement with the film since they didn't have involvement with the toy story series since after the first Film
I've learned that no matter how low you think a series has gone, it can ALWAYS dig deeper. I hope Toy Story 5 will retcon 4 because Woody becoming a lost toy is the entire antithesis of his character form the first three movies amongst other things. I still consider 3 to be the perfect ending.
Toy Story is so great! It follows us along from our childhood into adulthood, teaching us relevant lessons: TS1: learning how to cope with change and finding the good out in the situation (when I got a new sibling) TS2: making new friends in a new environments (when I went to middle school) TS3: saying goodbye and remembering the good things of my childhood (when I went to college) TS4: descending into an early-mid-life crisis and destroying everything around me Hopefully TS5: how to salvage the ruins of my life and make a comeback
When you think they've dug as deep as it gets, that they can't possibly get lower than rock bottom, that's when they pull out the dynamite and rock cutters.
Honestly even if they end up coming to life in front of humans and talking to them it will still be an improvement over Toy Story 4 because it will at least be interesting and lead to some good writing possibilities
If they did make Toy Story 5, it should be the backstory of woody and how he learned to be a toy like buzz did, it can show how he even became Andy’s favorite.

While I'm still mixed on the idea of a Toy Story 5 happening (especially after knowing how Ice Age 5 turned out for Blue Sky), if Pixar plays their cards right and fixes what TS4 broke, I think they can salvage that messy script from last time and turn it into something special (kinda like Shrek Forever After but with the greatness of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish). Something that'll make you feel good about the current state of Toy Story, and have an ending that's just as good, if not better than 3's ending (and most definitely better than what 4 pulled out of it's ass). Just thinking of the possibilities makes me wish that I could work for Pixar and write portions of the movie for them.

On one hand, it should be abundantly obvious at this point that Disney and Pixar are milking Toy Story dry, if it wasn't apparent after TS4. On the other, I actually agree to some extent with your cautious optimism. I just hope someone who understands the original trilogy well (unfortunately not Lee Unkrich, since he's gone from Pixar now) directs it so that Pixar rights the wrong of Toy Story 4 once and for all (and maybe retcons some of the atrocities that film committed.) And I already have an idea for the perfect plot: Bonnie is now grown up and looking to donate the toys like Andy did in TS3. Woody, meanwhile, is beginning to realize his mistake in leaving them for Bo, but she manipulates him to try and stay like Stinky Pete did in TS2. Woody ultimately manages to escape Bo and reunite with the other toys, who are then returned to Andy for his own kids to play with. Or perhaps even better, TS5 opens with Woody waking up from a nightmare in Bonnie's room and we learn that the events of TS4 were simply said dream.
I think it'd work if they made bo peep not a straight-up villain but a morally grey character. TS4 already made her a prick to woody, but displayed her having complicated feelings abt being owned. touch on how corrupted her view of being a child's toy is and how that plays into her relationship with woody, so the audience obv doesn't agree with her but they can understand her views (again, kinda like stinky pete and lotso but less evil). It'd take some legwork but I mean, TS4 has the set-up for it
They are never going to make Bo a villain and doing so would completely destroy the memory of her character in Toy Story 1 and 2. The best thing they can do is bring back the Bo from those movies and make her realize she is wrong about her life choices while Woody is having 2nd thoughts.

The plot is that Andy comes over to bonnies house for the day and asks her if he could see the toys. When he can't find woody, he threatens to kill Bonnie and starts making hate pages of her online. The only one who can stop is woody but Bo Peep wants Bonnie to die 😍😍

@@Inactivechannel-r6 Honestly I'd say that's been the case since 2011. Pixar have made a few good films since then such as Coco but generally everything went downhill after Toy Story 3. In the same year that Dreamworks gave us Kung Fu Panda 2, Pixar gave us Cars 2.
Come on, Disney was making TONS of universally panned movies in the early 2000s and they managed to get back on track in the late 2000s, so why doesn't anyone think that Disney may eventually bounce back?

Yeah I'm not going to defend TS4, but there were a lot of arguments agaisnt the specific points thi guy made, that just got completely shoved aside. What I don't understand is how you can have an extremely flawed movie that is essentially a content farm, and he still needed to make up reasons to be upset. One I specifically remember is the trash can the school. He's complaining because it isn't lunch time yet, so the trash can shouldn't be full, but you can clearly see that there's no food in there, there's trash. Trash from the crafting the kids have done. And then he complained about forky being a spork when lunch time hadn't happened yet, and the obvious answer is that disposable eatery is often used in kids crafts. Not the end of the world, but literally no reason to find reason to complain when there are already a million staring right at you.
I genuinely don't understand how people can look at the ending of Toy Story 4 and say "Oh, that's such a heartwarming and emotional ending." Dude. Woody abandoned his friends and kid just for a woman who treated him like 💩. This is not heartwarming."

The thing is those themes could work well in a different movie that was unrelated to Toy Story. Like if they didn’t choose the franchise that is totally incompatible with the message they were trying to bring across it could be seen as a heartwarming ending.

Shrek 3 is ignorable. All they needed to do is keep shrek's kids and keep the king dead and that was basically it, they could completely forget about everything else that happened. This? Woody has left all of his friends and his kid for Bo while the rest of the toys are going back home. I guess they could make a very awkward U-turn and have Woody immediately change his mind and go hitching rides on cars back home. That would definitely be jarring but it would be a U-turn directing us away from the depths of hell into the forest of mild contrivance so I guess we just have to accept if they're going to fix this it ain't gonna be perfect

Lee Unkrich (the director of Toy Story 3) retired to spend more time with his family so yeah… I’d say Pixar’s best bet is Pete Docter (he directed/wrote Monsters Inc, Wall-E, Up, Inside Out, and Soul; he also wrote the stories for the first two Toy Story films).

I have no hope. For two reasons:
1. Disney is only doing this because the company is failing and they think further milking beloved franchises is going to get them out of the hot water. Producers with that kind of mindset do not have the passion required to make a good story.
2. Every single time I think writing can't get any worse, I always end up being more disappointed. If it turns out to be good, that's great. But even then, that will only tell Disney that they can milk more money off these IPs and that creating new ones isn't worth the risk.

I think making tier lists videos is a great idea because they're fun, quick, and easy to make, so you can do them as short breaks from your long analysis videos.
Look at it this way: when you are the first thing on many people's minds upon the official confirmation of Toy Story 5, you know you made an unforgettable retrospective, and that's definitely something to be proud of.
On my thoughts of Toy Story 5, I am wondering two things. If they do give all the toys proper roles again, who will be cast as Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head since Don Rickles & Estelle Harris are no longer with us? And how will the premise go in relation to Toy Story 4? Will it have one scene focus on Buzz's group and have the next scene focus on Woody's group for the duration of the runtime?
Hope the fifth film will be like 2 and a half hours long so both Woody's new group of friends and buzz's crew will have a good amount of screentime

I hope Lee Unkrich come back as a director for the series, I feel TS4 lack the charm of the original pixar team (despite the fact Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton were involved on the project) TS5 needs that the people who make this characters awesome (og pixar team) are back with all the plot, script and world building again to at least feel that they care about the saga and feel a little less of a cashgrab movie. And I don´t know how are they gonna replace Don Rickles and Estelle Harris for the Potato Head couple, they´ve got lucky with Blake Clark to replace Jim Varney as Slinky but to replace the Potato Heads, I don´t know, hopefully Woody, Bo, Jessie and Buzz will be the only protagonist of the film in order to not replace the voices of 2 important toys of the gang. (And men, do not re-use the soundtrack for the previous movies, that´s one thing that I hated about TS4)
Don Rickles died before Toy Story 4 was released, his character was still in the movie but he was reduced to just saying a few lines here and there. They'll do the same for Estelle in 5 without having to give her a new voice actress, hopefully.

No, there's always potential for this to be worse.
1) It could be a whole new Woody doll from Al's Toy Barn.
2) Buzz could leave with Woody and Bo.
3) Their meet-up is completely contrived, Woody never confronts the reasoning behind his decision at the end of 4, and he decides to still stay with Bo despite being able to rejoin with Buzz and the gang for a short while and given the opportunity to think about his decisions.
Whatever the story ends up being, i know there'll be a really bad Film Theory video on MatPat's channel.

Seriously, the fourth installment was dreadful enough, but it had a decent conclusion to the series. The only reason I can think a 5th installment being produced is for the sake of money, which is the exact reason why.
Unless this 5th installment is going to fix things from the previous one (and actually make it work without indefinite plot holes, an underwhelming plot, or anything else.) I highly doubt it's going to be any good.
Modern Disney is (obviously) remarkably tone deaf. Going off-topic, but I was about to watch the second season of the Proud Family reboot, until that "Slaves Built This Country" chant came up. As a black girl, that ignorant claim drives me mad.
Nowadays the Proud Family just wants to shove politics up everyone's butt in such a ham-fisted way (much like Toy Story is now) without any nuance of the original.
Honestly, I'm happy I don't watch modern Disney movies or shows anymore. The closest thing to a "modern" Disney thing I still watch is RC9GN (which is actually good, besides Howard).

I just hope that DreamWorks succeeds again this year. Their ' Bad Guys ' movie and ' Puss in Boots : The last wish ' were absolute bangers. DreamWorks are a bit hit and miss but their hits are always amazing. Plus, I have always liked them more than Disney and Pixar.

Okay, weird way to phrase it. By that I mean, is it possible that Toy Story 5 is being made because someone at Pixar saw the series? I know, it seems unlikely that that would've served as their motivation for creating Toy Story 5. But Toy Story 5 being made in the first place already seemed impossibly unlikely, and yet here we are. If someone at Pixar has seen the series, then that would be amazing. I can only hope.
In my opinion it's a possibility they could ignore that Toy Story 4 existed or at least some plot points because in Cars 3 they did not even reference Cars 2 besides one character Jeff Corvette so yeah they do have a history of just ignoring thing that didn't work.

TBH i know that the franchise wasn't over yet. I know the end of the 4th film seemed like closure for woody and his friends, but there are still so many adventures they can go on. It's clear that the full story involving toys isn't over yet. Perhaps this movie will involve buzz and the gang going out to find woody and bring him back to Bonnie. Similar to the plot of the second film, which is my favorite.
Yeah. I think the only possible way they could obliterate the story EVEN MORE is if they were to pull a "It was all a dream!" Thingy in 5. The toys were never even alive in the first place. The 5 movies were nothing but a wild dream Andy had overnight while sleeping with his glowy Buzz Lightyear action figure. And even then, I don't think that would be a thing ANYONE at Pixar would even come up with, considering that would be an extremely unsatisfying conclusion to the... Quintrilogy? As a whole.
I just want Toy Story 5 to recon 4 and be a good movie
I rewatched the third one the other day for the first time in a while and it still has so much emotion, humor, charm, creativity and intelligence within its writing. That prison escape scene still is one of the most intelligent sequences ever written at Pixar. It feels like a Toy Story movie and still is the best way to say goodbye to Andy and the Toys. And I feel none of that watching the fourth one and I feel even angrier that they are continuing to persist in ruining it.
It’s really heartbreaking to watch Pixar ruin Toy Story 3’s perfect conclusion for money. Money is temporary but legacy is forever.

Toy Story is so great! It follows us along from our childhood into adulthood, teaching us relevant lessons:
TS1: learning how to cope with change and finding the good out in the situation (when I got a new sibling)
TS2: making new friends in a new environments (when I went to middle school)
TS3: saying goodbye and remembering the good things of my childhood (when I went to college)
TS4: descending into an early-mid-life crisis and destroying everything around me
Hopefully TS5: how to salvage the ruins of my life and make a comeback

If they did make Toy Story 5, it should be the backstory of woody and how he learned to be a toy like buzz did, it can show how he even became Andy’s favorite.

😌 Welp, all joking aside.... no matter what happens… I guess I’ll always have old Toy Story to keep me company… for Infinity and Beyond.

While I'm still mixed on the idea of a Toy Story 5 happening (especially after knowing how Ice Age 5 turned out for Blue Sky), if Pixar plays their cards right and fixes what TS4 broke, I think they can salvage that messy script from last time and turn it into something special (kinda like Shrek Forever After but with the greatness of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish). Something that'll make you feel good about the current state of Toy Story, and have an ending that's just as good, if not better than 3's ending (and most definitely better than what 4 pulled out of it's ass). Just thinking of the possibilities makes me wish that I could work for Pixar and write portions of the movie for them.
If they do make a Toy Story 5 they need to fix the damage they caused in Toy Story 4 so I’m having low expectations but there’s a chance that they could fix

Your next projects announcement got me griping my chair, those are some real bangers you are making, take as much time as you need to perfect them
On one hand, it should be abundantly obvious at this point that Disney and Pixar are milking Toy Story dry, if it wasn't apparent after TS4. On the other, I actually agree to some extent with your cautious optimism. I just hope someone who understands the original trilogy well (unfortunately not Lee Unkrich, since he's gone from Pixar now) directs it so that Pixar rights the wrong of Toy Story 4 once and for all (and maybe retcons some of the atrocities that film committed.) And I already have an idea for the perfect plot: Bonnie is now grown up and looking to donate the toys like Andy did in TS3. Woody, meanwhile, is beginning to realize his mistake in leaving them for Bo, but she manipulates him to try and stay like Stinky Pete did in TS2. Woody ultimately manages to escape Bo and reunite with the other toys, who are then returned to Andy for his own kids to play with. Or perhaps even better, TS5 opens with Woody waking up from a nightmare in Bonnie's room and we learn that the events of TS4 were simply said dream.
I think it'd work if they made bo peep not a straight-up villain but a morally grey character. TS4 already made her a prick to woody, but displayed her having complicated feelings abt being owned. touch on how corrupted her view of being a child's toy is and how that plays into her relationship with woody, so the audience obv doesn't agree with her but they can understand her views (again, kinda like stinky pete and lotso but less evil). It'd take some legwork but I mean, TS4 has the set-up for it
They are never going to make Bo a villain and doing so would completely destroy the memory of her character in Toy Story 1 and 2.
The best thing they can do is bring back the Bo from those movies and make her realize she is wrong about her life choices while Woody is having 2nd thoughts.
I hope Toy Story 5 will fix the disaster of Toy Story 4…

The plot is that Andy comes over to bonnies house for the day and asks her if he could see the toys. When he can't find woody, he threatens to kill Bonnie and starts making hate pages of her online. The only one who can stop is woody but Bo Peep wants Bonnie to die 😍😍

Exactly what my Toy Story 3 nightmares were, the toys wanted me and Woody to die in a horrible way and we accepted it. Andy was really mad at his toys for that, Jessie helps Andy get justice for the deaths of me and Woody by doing the same thing to his toys
