The Sigma and Tamron 1.4's are EXCELLENT options and much, much cheaper (and probably at least as sharp). I know my Sigma art 50 1.4 is as sharp as the 50 1.2 and the Sigma focuses way faster (and was 1/3 the price and also smaller even with the adapter).
They are excellent but it's still a surprise there isn't a Canon L series 35mm lens! And that's cool I didn't realise that! Stabilisation would be cool but not all primes have it
How many years has it been since the rf mount came out and still no damn rf 35 L lens. At thjs point i dknt think they will ever release it.... to long for me i switched with sony and i absolutely love the a7iv with the 35 gm
These totally WON'T be expensive..... The cheaper f1.8 lenses and adapting older EF lenses will have to do for me when I eventually get the R7 or R8 early next year.
@samuelmaynard84 Yeah, I keep flip flopping between the R7 and R8. The R7 is Canon's flagship APS-C camera with a lot of "pro" features, whereas the R8 is like a more bare bones R6ii. It's kind of like comparing a fully loaded Toyota Camry versus a base model Lexus lol.

Yeah, youre right, but we want the stabilisation that rfs offer

Yeah that's. A great way to do it, EF lenses are great! I want to get the R7 soon to pair with my R6 II

Don't give us hope...
