  • BaddBob shares how B.A.C.A.(Bikers Against Child Abuse) empowers children to overcome the fear from being abused. The Bikers help them regain the childhood they deserve. www.bacaworld.org, FB: @ Bikers Against Child Abuse International Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) is a worldwide motorcycle organization who works with children who have been abused. We help them gain the courage and self-esteem so they can go court and tell their story. More importantly, we help them understand it wasn't their fault and they are now part of a family of B.A.C.A. brothers and sisters who are their for them. They are not alone. We work in conjunction with the courts, children's agencies and other groups in the community to assure the child has the resources available to be successful. We currently operate in 47 States within the United States and in 17 countries around the world. BaddBob, the State Sgt. at Arms for the State of Florida. I have ridden with B.A.C.A. for over 10 years. I have had the joy and privilege to meet and work with hundreds of children. Like many Members and Supporters, I have also have gone to court with our B.A.C.A. children throughout the U.S. When a child needs help, we get on our bikes. We always say "One B.A.C.A.", because if a child needs to travel to another State to testify in court, local Chapters always step up to join and support that child. We will ride through the Gates of Hell and back for one of our children, because we know they have experienced things no child should ever have to experience. They are our Heroes and our inspiration. When they look up and smile at us, we know they are stepping in the right direction. Must be a liiittle bit awkward having so many of them have to check in their guns when going into the courtroom as support. Though given he said the judges themselves sometimes give them a call they probably make prior arrangements to make it cleaner.

I used to ride with BACA. Between my work and home there were several little brothers and sisters. Instead of taking the freeway home (which would have been faster) I took the side streets so they knew we were always close by. One of them learned my schedule and would sometimes be outside to wave at me. It makes your heart melt. This is an awesome organization and eventually I hope to ride with them again.

As a child I was one of those kids he talks about. My road name was "motor mouth". They were there for me when I was in court. They were there when I was coming out of surgery at 11. I still have their blanket they gave me when I was a child. I'm 25 now, but during those very dark times they were the greatest and nicest thing I've ever experienced. They gave me so much hope and security and I could never ever repay the kindness they gave to me.

I am from the Netherlands, we have a B.A.C.A. chapter in our town aswell, and I have seen these gentlemen and lady's in action with a couple kids I know, and what he says here about them lighting up and feeling safe around the bikes and the people that ride them, is absolutely true! I have seen a 9 year old go to school smiling for the first time in 5 years, why the big smile? because he rode to school on the back of a very cool and very noisy bike, and he knew his new big buddy had his back against any bully he came across for the rest of his life! so to any of you B.A.C.A riders out there; THANK YOU! Thank you for making these kids feel like and know they matter to someone, and that there is someone there that will have their back! I wish I could give this more than one like. As a biker myself and a survivor of domestic violence, I would love to ride with an organization like this. The strength they give these kids is amazing. I love to make people smile and laugh cuz when someone is laughing they aren't thinking about all the darkness in the world. Not to mention kids have infectious laughs and you can't help but laugh too. Thank yall so much for what yall do. Warm regards from North Carolina.

If you are still struggling, and many who were abused as a child still are, I hope you are getting some therapy or working with a support group. You can not only survive, but more importantly thrive as long as you continue to fight through it. Help others if you can and Rock On!!

You also gain a second area of protection too. As when they take you to school and people look bikers who look like "gang" bikers(term a teacher used). Even a school bully thinks twice about what the will say or do to you. These are hero's who don't ask for anything. They don't get paid for this. They just want to see children be safe.

This speech is an inspiration for all B.A.C.A. members around the world..... It was my inspiration to step up in my chapter after joining before 4 years.... Greeting from Alexandroupolis Chapter Greece.
