I’d like to think that first kid who impales himself realized what was going on when the bee landed on his nose.

Yes, the actor is great. You could see from the expression that he finally understood what was going on.

You know the open minded guy with the right answer was gonna die first. Just horror movie fate. I love this being a hillbilly myself from a town full of Tucker and Dales. Honestly youre safer camping in the woods here than you are hanging around the bus station in Cincinnati.

"You thought I looked like some kind of freak?"
"We misjudged you Dale. I'm... I'm really sorry."
"Don't be sorry, it's my fault. I should have known if a guy like me talked to a girl like you, somebody would end up dead."
I love this movie so much! I think this movie has a lot more to say than Cabin In The Woods (2012) does. I love both movies equally, but this movie also teaches us not to judge a book by the cover and communication is key to clear up any misunderstanding.
Fun Fact: Towards the end of the movie, when Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale are reminiscing about catching frogs at the creek, Dale mentions that he used to lick them. Tyler Labine actually did lick a toad in a small role he had on Quagmire (1996) 14 years prior.
Evil Tucker And Dale Fact: A special feature on the DVD plays the movie from the college kids' perspective, in which Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine) are murderous villains. The filmmakers weren't too happy about this, but it was a fun creative editing exercise and proof that editing is important.
Creative Choices Fact: Alan Tudyk came up with the idea to pour beer on his face to treat Tucker's bee stings. Tyler Labine chose the "GIV'ER" hat to wear as Dale for two reasons. First, it looks like the word "GIVER" alluding to his kind and generous nature. Second, it is the Canadian equivalent of "Git 'er Done" redneck phrase popularized by Larry The Cable Guy.

"Tucker" actor Alan Tudyk was in one of my favorite TV shows: Firefly. It's a sci-fi show with a western theme that only lasted one season. The crew took on passengers while transporting goods. Each episode has humorous and serious moments. The show was cancelled due to bad ratings because the time slot kept changing and fans couldn't figure when the showed aired In addition, the show was broadcasted out of order from the intended timeline. the show came on. Finally, enough fans protested that a movie was made to tie up any plot lines left opened.

I don't know if you caught the parallel but Chad's mom was running from the hillbillies and hid behind a log, when a hillbilly stood above her and knocked her out. Later, Tucker is running from the college kids and hides behind a log and Chad stands above him and knocks him out

  • @0okamino

They played with so many horror tropes in this, of course, they just had to use the old “the killer is still out there” one. Total classic. 😄
Also, don’t underestimate the value of an emotional support scythe. It can really boost confidence. Even the smaller sickle can work wonders. Just look what it did for the USSR (well, for a few decades anyway).

  • @erikthompson619
    @erikthompson619 9 месяцев назад +2

"Cabin in the woods" is another modern day horror comedy classic, packed with horror-meta stuff. And, if you want to see a horror comedy classic from further back - and believe me, you do - you need to watch "Tremors". The one horror comedy to rule them all. (OK, "Arachnophobia" is really good too.)
For "real" horror - have you watched "Jaws" yet? That's a true bucketlist movie if you haven't. From there you can move on to "Alien" and graduate, so to speak, with "The thing". That movie seems to terrify first time viewers to this day. It's the practical effects that do it, I'm told 🙂

Hey Aria! If you want to continue on your horror/comedy adventure, I recommend the 80's cult classic, "Fright Night" with Chris Sarandon (Prince Humperdink from "The Princess Bride") and Roddy McDowell (Cornelius from the original "Planet of the Apes" saga). It has cool visual effects by various Industrial Light and Magic wizards. Another one from the same time period is "The Lost Boys." It's like The Goonies mixed with vampires. A lot of fun and has a memorable soundtrack. Neither of these films is even as remotely gory as "Tucker and Dale."

love this movie. Dale-approved message. I've got good news. God is good because He gives His blessings to everyone, whether they be good or bad. but everyone has at least, told a lie, or stolen something in their life. and that makes them sinners, and God will not allow sinners in heaven; in His presence, because He is holy. so, God has to punish the sinners in hell, because God is severe and just. but God is also love and He made a way for some to be saved from His wrath. here are the steps:
    1. admit that you're a sinner and are lost.
    2. realize that the penalty of sin is death (hell).
    3. believe that Jesus (who is God) died on the cross, was buried, then rose from the grave, to pay the penalty for man's past, present, and future sins.
    4. trust Christ alone as your Savior, and not on your own good deeds to get you to heaven (nor a combination of faith and your self-righteous works).
    5. pray to God NOW that you're accepting Christ's free gift of salvation because if you die before making this decision, it's too late, and you'll 🔥🥵😈
    6. and to be a disciple, tell people about Jesus, read the bible, go to church regularly to know God's will for your life.
