Holy shit i had no idea a pup named Scooby Doo was from the 80's. I genuinely thought it was late 90s early 2000s
Same, i figured it came out before i was born but damn
Ikr I love a pup named Scooby doo
Yea, it was always on right before the bus came for school during the 2000s
At times, it was almost like it was ahead of it's time due how that style was popular in the early 90s.
Dude I used to watch it all the time on Cartoon Network and never knew it was reruns until I was older.
Scooby doo will always be my childhood cartoon, especially the original
Same
@@cjastrooo03 so true
*SCOOBY DOOBY DOO!*
Same.
i grew up with what's new myself
@@msipp3790 whats new is my favorite scooby doo series besides mystery inc.
I think it's best to say that Fred's love for traps is a massive character improvement
Food, Running Away and *TRAPS*
Not to mention how oblivious they made him
Ahh the Boo Brothers. Remember when that sheriff dressed as a Skeleton with a cape and pulled out a revolver on Shaggy and Scooby 😂.
Remember the episode where Scooby Doo solved the case of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
Media Ghost Wut 😀.
Fool, he thought he could kill a God with a mere bullet
The fact that his fat ass fit into a skeleton costume. By far the most irritating villain, always showing up at the end of a riddle to take the jewels 😩☹️
Happy 50th Anniversary of Scooby Doo Doc!
Scooby doo mistery inc deserves it's own episode! It's a loving tribute to EVERYTHING hanna-barbera! Johnny Quest and his family even made a cameo in one episode!
I got WAYYYY too excited when I saw this notification.
then calm down
@@boblob3509
I can't man I'm freaking out here
This is my first "Doo talkin to me" video. I'm really glad Doc is a fan of Scoob. That was my favorite show as a kid in the 90's watching reruns.
I really loved Mystery incorporated. And I hope we'll get another show like it with some strong "Stranger Things" vibes
That's actually a really good idea!!
@@unevenn_stevenn totally! It would make the supernatural threat, or threats, even more threatening than in Mystery Incorporated and the stakes would be even higher!
@@ironvlogger9712 and there could be legit murder's making it even better!! An evolving mystery with an even bigger more sinister plot
@@unevenn_stevenn YES! And even, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! Where Velma can struggle to cope with that not everything has a logical explanation, and not every mystery can be solved, Daphne being more than just a damsel in distress and a pretty face, as well as putting that black belt of hers into good use, Fred actually learning the values and importance of being a good leader, and Shaggy and Scooby becoming a little bit braver, and the Mystery Machine upgraded with new tech. As well as having some down time scenes where we see what the gang does in their downtime cause seriously, what do they do when they aren't solving mysteries? Along withhaving a nice combination of solving mysteries with crooks in masks as well as real supernatural activity where the monsters and ghosts are SUPER SCARY😆
@@ironvlogger9712 Yes!! So basically like scooby apocalypse but without all that end of the world stuff? Great minds think alike 😅
Zombie Island is still Top Scooby KINO. Also I still love the Scooby-Doo Project, the late 90s-early 2000s were an interesting time for Scooby-Doo and the Hannah-Barbera characters.
I wonder if new Scooby-Doo movie will brings us a new era for the mystery gang
Making a forgettable sequel to Zombie Island is just...the greatest sin.
I literally only heard of it now.
same! I gotta go find and watch it, I knew about the 13th Ghost movie because I was hyped for it but I never knew they returned to zombie island (which is one of my fav Scooby movies)
Finally some more Doo Talkin To Me!
I’m so excited for possibly more entries.
Same here currently watching it in 2021
Scrappy Doo will always be one of my favorite characters.
Thanks for doing this Doc, I grew up with Scooby-Doo I've been seen most of its highs and lows and I can't believe the franchise is 50 years old! Here's to the next 50 and a new Scooby-Doo show with those dark "Stranger Things" vibes!
Boomerang use this music all the time when they aired Scooby-Doo back in the 2000s!
God...2000s boomerang was awesome
@@katiacritten9975 I agree
True.
Most notably the Every Scooby Ever Made marathon
I miss 2000s Boomerang😭😭😭
Happy 50th Anniversary to Scooby Doo. I met Frank Welker this year in May the voice of original Freddie and new Scooby Doo. He's the only original Scooby Doo Where Are You voice actor still around. God Bless Him. I love Scooby Doo.
@Will N yeah I just discovered that online. I guess they aren't voice actor anymore and looks like they're not joining the 50th Scooby Doo celebration with Frank Welker. I wish they will talk about Scooby Doo with Frank Welker together for the 50th Anniversary this year.
Nicole Jaffe is also the only one left from the original series.
You're Scooby content is my favorite!
Scooby-Doo forged my childhood I will always remember the night where de would watch Scooby-Doo all night or also when the movies were on TV. I also loved to watch the original show when I came back from school, even tho I was born in the 2000. Thank You for bringing this nostalgia to me :)
Been a fan of scooby doo since I was 5 I love it.
This franchise is awesome!
Same!
@@Arh1305 WOO HOO!!
Scooby has always been apart of my life...from being scared of the theme song as a child to going through a major phase where all my school supplies were scooby because of the "Dream Catcher." I'll always love Scoob and the Gang.
I truly wish they would have continued Ghoul School as a series though, it was so fantastic and it's a must watch for me every Halloween.
Just finished, and god I wish you could make more of these! Thanks Cyd!
I loved Scooby-Doo SOO MUCH as a kid! Especially Scooby-Doo Where Are You!? Oh! My! GOD! That show brings me back!!!
I watched EVERYTHING Scooby-Doo related back then! I couldn't get enough of it! Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island is still MY FAVORITE Scooby-Doo movie of all time! Now a days, I really don't watch Scooby-Doo as much as I use to, but I am glad to see no one has forgotten him! And he keeps coming back every year! Thank You, Hanna Barbera for an amazing piece of GOLD that brighten my childhood so much! And THANK YOU Cyd for this retrospective of the entire series!
HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY SCOOBY-DOO!!!!
Just finished the Scooby Doo and the 13th Ghost movie review from Decker Shado and That Long Haired Creepy Guy, and now this awesome retrospective from Dr. Wolfula. Today's a good day.
Yes please more Doo Talkin’ To Me!
Ghoul School remains my top favorite Scooby Doo movie. The other five being the following examples;
2. Reluctant Werewolf
3. Boo Brothers
4. Zombie Island
5. Monster of Mexico
6. Goblin King
To this day, I always think about the Grimwood Ghouls with great fondness and so do many other people in this day and age. Not only have I recently purchased the Ghoul School DVD. But I've also watched the OK KO episode that brings in the Ghouls as guest stars almost three-dozen times.
I've also recently discovered a Loud House fanfic that involves Lincoln attending Grimwood's. It is a very good story, one I highly recommend reading
That sounds awesome!
I think the world is ready for a Scrappy Doo comeback.
I know I am.
Yeah, it wasnt his fault.
I say let him at it
Why do people hate him ? I loved him as a kid , I still do we need a Scrappy-Doo Comback as well Scooby-Dum
@@h2oguy740 It's actually spelled 'Dum'.
@@coreyparsons2946 thanks I guess i didn't know
I've been watching Scooby Doo for as long as I can remember. Happy 50th
Wait, so Scoob will have celebrity voice acting? That's a let down. I wanted to hear Matthew Lillard as Shaggy on the big screen again!
Muhammad Faiz Mohd Nasiruddin hey at least they did the sensible thing in keeping Frank Welker as the voice of Scooby-Doo. Even though it would’ve been cool to hear the og voices
@@bullwinkle524 I would rather have Frank as Fred since he's been Fred in 90% of legit all of Scooby media
There's something about Scott Menville's Shaggy voice that sends me into a flying rage whenever I hear it.
I'd watched Scooby when I was younger, but drifted away gradually over the years. After watching your first episode, I went out, bought, and re-watched the entire original series. I would love to see these continue!
I've been watching this show since 2003 and I'm still watching it and loving it!
One thing I enjoy about new Scooby Doo incarnations is the changes in Daphne. She’s gone from a danger prone, occasionally stupid damsel in distress to a more assertive and competent character.
Man, the promos and executions for Zombie island and The Scooby Doo Project were amazing !!
a neat plus is that the Brazillian voice actor for Scooby is turning 100 and still voicing Scooby-Doo, please check Orlando Drummond, he broke the record last year of voicing the same character for 49 years in a roll thanks to Scooby.
I love how you use Sooberang promo music for Doo Talkin' to Me!'s intro theme.
I just realized, Scooby-Doo is to the US what Lupin III is to Japan. Treasured franchises with multiple iterations over decades of television, film, and media history, becoming cultural icons that have long persisted after their original creators' passing.
Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island is really one of my favourite movies and I'm a bit appalled that the sequel to it seems so lackluster.
Scooby Doo was the first franchise that I remember really clicking in my head, and to this day I love it
Ghoul School had sort of a sequel, in one of the "OK KO let's be heroes" episodes
Those 4 direct-to-video Scooby movies (moo-vies?) will always be the high point for me. I would watch them constantly as a kid, and Zombie Island is still one of my favourite cartoon movies of all time.
Oh and as little as I like the first live-action movie, the second is amazing and the casting is unreal in how accurate it is. Always forget just how much I love Scooby-Doo.
I've been looking forward to this
The last time Scrappy was seen was in the tv show, supernatural episode:”Scoobynatural”.
I really like how you changed the TV based on the timeline. Very cool! Great video! Scooby is the best!
I love Scooby-Doo!
YAHOO!!
Yes i really like what you've done with Doo Talkin' to Me. it really made me appreciate Scooby Doo (who already had a soft spot in my hear) even more.
Scooby doo was one of the first shows I remember watching as a kid. I was 8 when I got whats new scooby doo volume 2 on dvd along with vhs copies od scooby doo and the alien invaders, whitches ghost , cyberchase, monster of mexico and the first 2 live action movies. Now 10 years latet I have every movie from 1979 to 2011 on dvd in my collection and 1 from 2012 and 2013 along with every movie from 2014 to 2017 in my collection and the whole 13 ghost serries the original serries and 2019 movie. I will never stop watching scooby doo. Definitely will always watch alien invaders since it was the movie that started my whole collection 10 years ago.
Mystery incorporated will always be my favorite Scooby-Doo series
I loved scooby doo as a kid growing up in the 90s , the direct to video movies of the 90s were a major highlight due to their darker premise.
It's nice to see the franchise do well after all these years, despite some odd projects in recent years.
Wonder how’s your reaction to the SCOOB animation design reveal have to say animation is looks fun
Scoobydoo was always my favourite and still is to this day and there will always be a special place in my heart
WE LOVE YOU SCOOBY-DOO
Thanks for posting this! You’re awesome! You should definitely do more of these!
"Scoob!" Seems pretty dope honestly. I'm looking forward to it.
I remember watching Scooby Doo as a kid in 2000s, and I still have some Scooby Doo movies and TV shows, I'm can't wait to let my future kids to watch Scooby Doo one day.
the tv-movies in the 90's and the Johnny Bravo crossover was amazing
I can’t wait to see you review camp scare i used to watch it every day whe it first was released
Would love more videos like this!!! Great job, Keep it up!!!
Great video, Cyd, as always!
It's funny, when Fred in Mystery Incorporated keeps mentioning 'traps' to catch the ghost, I hear Ray from The Real Ghostbusters series who also talks about ghost traps. Not surprising that Frank Welker voices both characters.
Yes, there is certainly interest in future installments to this series. At least from my side of the fence.
Cyd, as always your content is superb! I love these little mini DOCumentaries ;)
Worth the wait, thanks Cyd!
I'll admit that with the new series it was cool to see Mark and Kevin doing the voices in the episode with Batman.
Very informative. Thank you! Been subscribed for a while now.
What a great celebration of the franchise! I didn’t realize how much it was part a big part of my childhood until you started rattling off every iteration I’ve seen every episode of...!
Great vid. You get a Scooby snack!!
I was actually surprised to see this video in my recommendations. Glad to see someone recognizing Scooby's 50th anniversary, compared to some of the other, bigger YT cartoon reviewers. Great video!
Forever will be my favorite cartoon franchise ever.
Excellent job on the video Cyd 👍🏽
This was great! Would love to see more!
I just came across this video and j would love to watch more videos like this ! It makes me so happy that someone still has the love and respect for the Scooby-Doo franchise that I do ! This really made me extremely happy :)
So, Scooby Doo, Spongebob, Freddy, Aliens, Jason, Godzilla, are the only fictional characters I feel that can literally go on forever with different styles...
The same thing can be said for other fictional characters like Spider-Man, Garfield, Sonic The Hedgehog, Mario, Ben 10 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I grew up with the direct to DVD movies and the early 2000s show so suffice it to say I have a weird, unwavering love for the series and would love to see more videos about it
Scoob is Awesome!! And so is this video! Thanks Doc .
This will always be my favorite cartoon. I would love to see more of your episodes. Scooby has always been there for me. No matter what.
Yes! Please keep this series up
I love that your regular voice sounds like a perfect balance of Dr wolfula and ghoulash while each of those characters sound like the complete opposite of both ends lol
One day you should make a video about the forgettable Scooby Doo clones from Hannah-Barbera.
Probably the greatest scooby video ever.
I remember being a 4-year-old kid, waking up at 4 AM to grab a banana and turning on the TV just to watch the original Scooby Doo just until my parents noticed I wasn't in bed. I still like this franchise to this very day.
Love the vid cyd! Been waiting on a new scooby doo vid since I started subbing to ya!
This is a legendary show that stood the time and will never die I Love Scooby-Doo so fucking much
I have to give you double thumbs up. Because I love Scooby-Doo. The only thing I hated about Scooby-Doo in the late 80s is when they put in the background laugh tracks.
Please do more of these, they’re so good.
I had no idea about this whole "Doo Talking to Me!" series you did, but I think this was a pretty great look back at the franchises. I'd love to see more in-depth looks at some of the more standout features. Now if you don't mind me I think I'm gonna get to watching some of those old Doo Talking to Me episodes,
I love that new Scooby projects are still coming out today in different styles. I’ve got fond memories of watching pretty much every main series of the show, whether in the mornings on Boomerang or watching the latest episodes now, but I don’t think there are many versions I dislike.
I really wish Be Cool had a better reputation though. I’m not going to say that it’s the best Scooby series out there, but it had, for me and others I know at least, effective comedy and clever writing, with a writer who seemingly, despite some interference with the production, wanted to do right by the characters and the series. I admit I thought it was fan made when I saw the designs, but they stopped bothering me after like 3 episodes, and I feel like some people don’t look past the initial shock at the designs to appreciate the effort that went into the comedy of the series.
I hope more Scooby series get blu ray releases like Where Are You, having the Scooby Doo Show would be awesome, and I’d love to watch the comic book episode of Pup Named again, I always used to rewatch that because I was into comic books at the time.
I’m optimistic for the Scoob movie. I wish the tv cast could have reprised their roles for the first animated feature film, but hopefully the new actors will do a great job. I’m realising this comment is going nowhere but rambling about my favourite Scooby series now, so overall happy 50th anniversary to Scooby-Doo, and good job with the retrospective.
Please make more, I loved this!
Great video. Thank you :)
My favorite scooby doo where are you eipsode was SPOOKY SPACE KOOK
Don't forget the crossover with Batman: the Brave and the Bold. Now that has been my favorite bit of Scooby media in recent memory.
Its about friggin' time! Thanks for the delay RUclips! Keep up the great work Doc. :)
Loved it! Would absolutely watch a more in depth breakdown
I just have to say I love that you used the score from Scooby-Doo 2 as your background music
Two small corrections:
1. The real monsters first appeared in the latter half of the Scrappy years, having been considered as an update at the same time as the little dog.
2. Laurel and Hardy, as they appeared in the New Scooby Movies, were actually based on a then-current "Laurel and Hardy" cartoon from Hanna-Barbera. This was also the rule for "The Three Stooges", "The Addams Family" and "I Dream of Jeannie", all adapted from their cartoons rather than live-action sources..
Im 18 now and I've bin waching Scooby doo what feels like my whole life and I love the show unironically even to this day
I feel like saggy used 0.001 of his power for me to still love the show today.
I tryed to though in a shaggy meme but I feel like it feel flat oh well
Fuck, that was such an amazing look at the history. Really great job on this one
Happy 50th Anniversary to Scooby Doo
Fascinating fact: this year is a special year because 3 shows premiered 50 years ago. HEE HAW (a country music variety show), Sesame Street & Scooby Doo
I think we can all agree that the best Scooby related project in the last 10 years was the Supernatural crossover.
Bro plz make more of these I really love them
finally its back i love this series please continue this i want to learn more
Zombie island is still my favorite Scooby doo movies and the live action films have been a guilty pleasure of mine for years
