I found your channel through being a keen cyclist and Zwifter with a wahoo bike, but I’ve now find myself subscribed to your channel and watching every video you upload. I hope the channel keeps growing as I think your editing skills and brilliant humour deserves a bigger audience. Nice work Mark definitely a above average RUclipsr 👍🏻👍🏻
Love your approach to including both strength and cardio. I too have found that working on the posterior chain (and a variety of different deadlift movement) has been extremely beneficial to cycling as well as general health and injury prevention. 2x your body weight with a solid form is super impressive 💪
The old its all natural or its the special protein shakes conversation, if I put 1kg on the bar for each time I heard that I'd have done my back as well, oh I did. Good vid again.
Thanks! One good thing about RUclips, nowadays most people do understand that anyone making ANY sort of income from how they look....from a few subs on YT to multimillionaire actors, are taking whatever they need - and it's way beyond broccoli !!!
For me, when I was young, it was all about the result. Now, at 55, it’s the journey to an attainable result. Your channel has become my comic relief and motivator. Enjoy that carrot! Now lace up those running shoes!
@@MarkLewisfitness ok...plus a healthy dose of knowledge/ideas and I dare say....moments of inspiration. And I don't say that lightly. Greetings from the pain cave in Austria. GF is out. Music is at 11.
Great video Mark! Great flow in tour story telling. You had a small cut scene from where you didnt have your Kickr on the bouncy board. Have you ever compared your power with or without that. I belive for shorter punchy races, you could be loosing some good watts on the top end. Would be interesting to see.
I have tried it and oddly, it made little difference. It seems that the power lost by being absorbed into the board is regained when the board bounces back the other way. To be honest, the science is beyond me but I did have a conversation with somebody who explained that the energy can't just disappear and it all ends up going through the crank one way or another.
I’m interested and please excuse me as it is a personal question. What do you do for a living? It doesn’t sound like RUclips is your only source of income, yet your upload and content production is consistent. And if you work along RUclips, it would be a great video idea if you can walk us through how you do it. Love your videos and the motivational ones in particular. Cheers from NZ, hope to see you here one day.
I work in financial advice - but I'm very lucky that I've done that for 25 years so now can get away with working a few days a week and mostly from home. It allows YT to be done the other few days. It certainly doesn't pay the bills! Far from it, it's a very expensive hobby basically! Its tough because to do it well takes time and money and in the early years, the return is non-existent ...... my plan is to do this for another year or so and see if the numbers start to go to a place where it becomes viable as even a small 2nd income. Right now, I make enough off YT to cover my gym membership and protein shakes!!! And stuff like the camera and lens I bought recently to be able to film in 4k, that costs the same as a year of YT income!
Hugh jackman deadlifts conventional while you are lifting sumo. Sumo is a smaller range of motion and typically a lifter can lift quite a bit more doing sumo vs conventional. No disrespect, you're strong and amazing, but you can't compare sumo and conventional.
Getting older and still getting PBs…. You need to shout from the roof tops. They come from hard work and dedication. 👏👏👏

Love the way your kid thinks. Love how you encourage each other.
Four kids and hundreds of parents evenings over the years, first time anybody has ever said they like how my kids think 😂
@@MarkLewisfitness But Mark...he thinks like you. =)
Most mornings I feel pretty good about myself just getting up at 4:00 A.M. to go for a walk or short bike ride.
That is an impressive lift. It is definitely above average.
Agree with you. Great motivation to be above average. Thanks for the great stimulating content.
Mark, my new sign in the Zwift room and garage is "Above Average". Thank you for all you do.
I need to start selling these 😂👍
@@MarkLewisfitness ooooooo is this not inspirational wall art?!
@@bravehartley it gets an exemption 😜
You've helped me so much with building my running habits in the last few weeks, I'm crediting my marathon PB next month to this channel
Great vid. 440 DL is an awesome lift mate!
Top class as always 👊🏾👍🏾

Yep - at 2 times it starts to feel REAL heavy though! Amazing when you see what really strong people lift!
Well done Mark, that is some achievement 💪💪👏👏
My back hurts just watching🥵. I'll drop Hugh a line on the bush telegraph 🤣😂
Yeah - I was a bit achy the next day😂
Got into powerlifting through my son too, at 47/48. Love the technique of the powerlifting moves.

I got up to a 1200 pound total, but my goal now is to run a 10 minute mile. Im overweight and my cardio sucks.
Sumo though! No wonder you've hurt your back. Hugh didn't use it.
I hurt my back lifting conventional - sumo suits my height better and puts it off lower back and onto upper, which is cool.

Why do you have to be that person? You forgot to say actually.
