I agree on the yoga comment. Truly the perfect cross training. I'm never going to tie myself up like a pretzel nor do I want to. But I think if I had discovered yoga in high school it would've improved my performance in swimming and baseball (the sports I played then). I discovered yoga at the Y just a few months before the pandemic and have kept doing RUclips Yoga and it's improved my mobility, core strength and flexibility by a lot.
Thanks for the tips! Any suggestions for those of us nowhere near 'athlete' level. The ones that are so out of shape we get sore the next day from just going up 3 flights of stairs. I have to get back into working out after an injury and I just can't (don't want to) work out because of the soreness. I guess 'Suck it up buttercup' is what I need to hear.
Great content you got the perfect balance nark keep up the great content, agreed with the splits part lol never understood people that pushed to be very flexible its unnecessary
Hi Mark, forgive me if I’ve missed it but have you got any video(s) of your transition to barefoot running that you can signpost me to? I’m currently running with a next% which has a pretty high drop and I’d be interested in something with less, if for nothing else, to give me some freedom of choice when it comes to trainers. Cheers, take care.
I bought a cheapo Amazon massage gun and it works great, as you say I don't think there's much in it between the those and the expensive ones. The Power Dot is really interesting though, been tempted but they're a tad pricey to justify at the minute - have also seen cheap versions but unlike the massage gun, I'm not so sure if I want to risk one of those zapping what muscles I do have into oblivion.
it really depends on all sorts of things - I tend to go to "mild discomfort"....and then up it after a min or so of getting used to it - so it's more about feel than a number.
You've persuaded me to finally bite the bullet and buy a powerdot. I realised I couldn't really get into my upper leg muscles (maybe pectineous?) with rolling and gun... I did vEverest at the weekend and then a couple of runs in the week... now my aches are starting to catch up with me!
Room full of middle aged mothers and you feeling uncomfortable. You are a middle aged father. You will never be 25 no matter how many 25 year olds you marry.
I highly doubt thats what he meant. Yoga (and pilates etc etc) classes have been predominantly the preserve of women and for a man to rock up to a class is going to feel uncomfortable - like we are invading their space or something. Im sure the women dont see it that way - but, as a man, I 100% get what Mark is saying
This guy knows his stuff 🙏🏻🤙🏻
As a chunky bloke into the gym and starting running, this was gold

I agree your best purchase has to be for recovery, purchased a small vibrating roller ball and you can definitely feel the difference in recovery
Thumbs Up on the home sauna, best investment I made! I will look into power dots, interesting! Thanks for the good info.
Love the video. Would love a video on your nutrition and your beliefs on augers and such. Keep up the great work
Thanks for the tips!

I've been on the face about a massage gun for a while. Think you just tipped me over the edge. Cheers!
Mark. LOVE LOVE LOVE the content and the witty disposition. Do you have info on the Sauna that you purchased? Thanks!
Hey Mark, any pointers on what to look for in a sauna? What model did you end up with?
+1 for the powerdot :) works like a charm
Love Yoga, good supplement with the weights and running etc

How did the strength/resistance training go with the power dot? Did you get the DOMS you wanted? Or no effect?

Had to come back to this, struggling to walk atm 😂
10k subscribers sounds crazy :)
Have you had a go at something like the Normatec compression boots?
That thumbnail got my undivided attention 😍🔥
I do foam rolling watching your channel (or other's).
Thanks!
🙏 🙏 🙏 Thank you!
Thanks I needed this trying to train for an ironman and keep at least a bit of muscle mass
Does the PowerDot work for Nixon, too? 😆
What about the dog? Mini massage gun? Protein drinks? Sauna?
Just bought a cheapo massage gun($85 usd, cheap for them) off amazon because of this vid
Which massage gun do you recommend?
Mark, after watching this video I bought a PowerDot and it came today. What number do you get upto / set on the recovery mode?

Sound levels all over the place today!
Spikey balls is not something to be bragging about
crazy 😜

Terrible, you confused kickboxer and bloodsport. You are not a Tanaka!
