@@PinkSander I think the customization on 3 went a *little* too far being able to change the cheapest cabinets to have like perfect marble and so on, but the color wheel and being able to change individual parts of a swatch is definitely necessary..

@@Allymai_ Blending modes apply colors over preexisting ones in different ways but don't actually change the original color. Photoshop's "Color" blending mode won't actually cause the color to change fully, it'll take the hue but will use the shade of the original color. The funny thing is Photoshop actually has a Color match function that Kayla could have used to get a better result

I actually sat down yesterday and today after watching this video to try and learn how to make cc. And i figured it out, made my own patterned wallpaper and a painting with one of my drawings and its going really good so far im super hooked now. Thanks for showing that it is not as hard as it seems
If you use the "multiply" blend mode, you should be able to get much closer to the original color you're trying to make! The color blend mode shifts the hue of the layer underneath it, while multiply overlays the color on top. The "overlay" blend mode is also useful paired with multiply to make the color feel brighter and more saturated!
You also don't have to use the same wallpaper to make a new recolor - you can use a completely random one if you've already got the texture. You'd have to change the tag settings tho to be correct
It's honestly really enjoyable seeing Kayla make cc. It wasn't boring at all imo. I would love to see her doing more 'creating cc' vids if that's what she would like to do. A vid series of Kayla making cc she needs in the game is something I loved to watch. 😊

The 5 swatches you made of that wallpaper, reminded me so much of aro flag (the new one the one with the whitestripe not the yellow). I know I know the lightest wasn't even white, and it was all more desaturated and in a bit of wrong order (I mean if you'd only switch the deep green with the lightest one) but I recently realised I'm aromantic so now I see aro flags everywhere
This video wasn't even slightly boring I enjoyed it very much and I agree with your wallpaper opinions there are not enough colours and a lot of them are bold.
It could be good to look for colors from different seasons. Fall colors are really cute. A lot of people do lighter colors, but I think darker browns would be good on wallpaper with specific lightings. A darker feel and all.
Please do more videos like this, just have fun however you want making cc. Its fun for us who cant run opening and closing the game so much. Its exciting!

Making cc wallpaper is a great way to dip your toes in. I recently tried making my own cc, and boy... going in and out of the game is the worst (after computer crashes). You make it look fun and easy. :)
