For any beginner or intermediate player watching this, don't let the word "advanced" stop you from learning these riffs right now. When I picked up guitar for about 10 months ago, I was influenced by the idea of progress. By researching on youtube I crafted a perfect routine which would get me to desired level of skill, but soon I found myself procrastinating. Playing the instrument for which I paid so much became a chore. I felt guilty day by day. And then I just gave up on the idea of progress. I picked up guitar to cure my nihilism. Since then, I've been practicing whatever riffs I like , like battery, damage inc, master of puppets, raining blood, bleed by meshuggah, etc.And I've gotten really good in a very shot span of time, because playing guitar felt easy and enjoyable, which was the main objective in the first place, but often other ideas influence us and make us forget what we wanted/desired.
Yeah basically the same thing happened to me but the only problem is i rarely learn any complete songs and when i wanna perform for friends over or something then i can only play like 30 seconds of a song :/
@@inkswift Depends on what's your motive for playing guitar. As I said earlier, I play to just enjoy, I don't care If I complete any song or not, I often take my favorite riffs from many songs, and make my own medley, just play them randomly, and many fit together and sound so good together. If you know power chords then you can literally play unlimited riffs with different permutations of power chords. Maybe even you can do that the next time you want to perform for your friends, just play random riffs with just power chords, it's super awesome!! Try it!!! If you don't believe me, then listen to black sabbath, Tony Iommi has written so many riffs with just power chords, and they are not even hard. Any beginner can play them.
I've recently started using "backing tracks" from my favorite bands & their songs to practice guitar & it's helping me improve. I just hit 20 years playing guitar this year btw & still learning
It’s not THAT hard, jacob deraps on youtube has made an entire following out of being able to flawlessly emulate EVH. And you don’t have to be him or Eddie to be able to pick a swing rhythm. Those 8th notes aren’t supposed to be straight like they’re played here
Sometimes you gotta get the word "advanced" out of your head. I've always found if you really fucking love a song or riff, you will enjoy practicing it and before you know it your playing what you thought wasn't possible for yourself. It keeps you going.
I am an intermediate guitar player who plays on an acoustic. Watching your videos and ur excercises has helped me improve a lot in the past few months. Thank you Ibrahim for putting out such informative and high quality content. As always hail metal \m/.
Thanks for mentioning Death. Actually good choice learning from to improve intermediate + skills. Hard but manageble solos, sick riffs. Definitely will boost ya to the advanced level.
This video just made me feel good about myself lol I don’t think I’m advanced by any means but I already knew a lot of these and the ones I didn’t, looked easily learnable.
thank you so much for this video!! Even as beginner I'm trying to keep up with the pace and many of these riffs that I didn't know earlier seem enjoyable and cool :) Thank you sir!!
Best tip is to not pressure yourself into a feeling of i have to play because: -i spend lots of money, -i really wnat to play something else harder so this is a good exercise. Just play, whenever, whatever, and youll be good to go. Just play. RUclips and websites like songsterr are your friend here.
Fun fact about As I Am, you don’t need to tune your guitar all the way down to C standard (though the bass MUST be a 6 for the intro due to harmonics bs). If you can only tune to Drop C, the song is perfectly playable. Same with Honor Thy Father off the same album. In the Name of God must be played in C standard due to a couple inverted chords in the bridge though. A Nightmare to Remember needs C standard for a few sections. While possible, playing Untethered Angel in drop C is inconvenient to say the least
I was like damn this looks soooo hard And then there's Erotomania and Master of Puppets that I can play for years I just remembered that I'm just not working enough but I can learn a lot of those riffs if I just work enough
Yes, that video was too long for some, so I divided it into sections so that everyone can more easily access the level they want to work on. I also released the master riffs as a separate video, and the intermediate and beginner levels will be released in the coming weeks.
I figure he records it all and then pitch shifts as needed in software later. That or he just records the video and audio separate, playing everything back to back for the video in one tuning but recording the correctly tuned versions to add in later.
Vc tem todo esse talento so pra tocar musicas dos outros?... Vc estudou tanto pra toca perfeitamente as musicas dos outros q naum tem criatividade pra pelo menos compor 1 música própria?
Most of these are intermediate at best, real advanced riffs are stabwound by necrophagist, vortex Omnivium by obscura, pantheum by first fragment and so on
That “Annihilator” riff looked pretty easy honestly. Maybe not for a beginner of metal but anything with decent metal ability could do that easy. PS. That Charvel is sic

Amen to that, brother

The groove of "I'm the one" is really impossible to imitate, i've never seen anyone else that EVH play it like he does

3:46 That slayer riff is insane 😮 and you played it absolutely flawless ❤
I think Jeff was the only one to play it that good.
Sheesh I gotta practice more \m/
The fast part of raining blood is a doozy. Pretty sure you play it cleaner than the actual band 😅

Ending on spirit crusher is perfect
Erotomania is SUCH a banger! Great job as always!
Inception of the End. Great choice. What a fun riff.
seeing your favorite band in those type of videos is always a nice surprise, love trivium

That's awesome! You're already ahead of the game!
Some of these riffs are a solid 3/10 in difficulty
yes black magic is not at all hard
Yeah, scuttle buttin’ is definitely way harder than nearly every riff here. Most of these still feel intermediate
the one breakdown is like the 10th riff i learned
Real
Yep trivium's not that hard and it's really fun and satisfying to play. They have way harder riffs
It would be really cool to see some Bling Guardian riffs in your videos. They have an amazing catalog and their riffs are top notch
Tomorrow I try to play days by days all of you’re riff. Thanks men
thank you so much for this video!! Even as beginner I'm trying to keep up with the pace and many of these riffs that I didn't know earlier seem enjoyable and cool :) Thank you sir!!
Lots of good choices to help build stamina, work on technique, help with reach.
downfall is very cool and very hard riff too, i ve spent about 1.5 month to play it perfect
So cool so I will definitely try these riffs!

I don't see new riffs, everything was Ibrahim, but the title is new, luckily I'm still practicing the moves from the previous movies. Getcha pull :)
Tastyyyy :) good choice for Riffs sets, regards all ....And Justice for All :)
Ibrahim: **Proceeds to shred like a king**
Me asf: **Proceeds to place capo on specifically the 2nd fret and starts shredding wo-**
Cool, man, thank you!
Nice work
I was like damn this looks soooo hard
And then there's Erotomania and Master of Puppets that I can play for years
I just remembered that I'm just not working enough but I can learn a lot of those riffs if I just work enough
What pick do you use? Thanks u are great
Yesss Iced Earth ❤
His pinky when he played slayer at 3:40 looked like the wacky inflatable flaying arms tube man
Great video thanks. How do you work out the tunings? I’ve always struggled, I tend to stick with e flat or d standard.
The verse riff and solo riff to Symphony X Iconoclast is exceptionally difficult
Can you do ones for endurance, trying to help a friend
Really dumb question but I've been curious....where did you get that pickguard?
Lol didn't expect The Offspring to be on this list
Iced Earth ❤
I think some Hokies riffs deserve to be on this list Magma or Backbone.
Can you make on these vids for more difficult riffs?
It's nice seeing annihilator get love, I hate the fact that when I look them up, it tries to suggest infant annihilator, and I'm like, no, stop it.
Literally infant annihilator fucking sucks
Laid to rest 👊🏽😤
Nice!
Thanks
Can you make a top [insert number] metal riff in D Standard plsss ???
Death, Gojira and Mastodon have entered the chat
@@ЖандосАубакиров-р9н 😅
Yay, i own that charvel. Mine is orange af tho.
Advanced is a bit of a stretch for alot of these riffs
Muito obrigado
Man you could make a "top 25 riffs" list from dantes inferno ALONE...
How about For the Horde by Exmortus?
elime sağlık abi
Merci \m/ 🙏
Flying Whales have one too
Inception of the End is such a fun fn song to play. Skipped some of the riffage, but cool nonetheless.
Класс !!!👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘😁😁😁🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Most difficult song is red house by jimi hendrix
Malmsteen - Rising force from Odyssey album.
Hocam black labelden da gelsin
Niceeee
Guys, of course these are not "advanced riffs"! Is just a click bait title so every body comment "advanced? wtf, blablabla".
damn man how many guitars do you have 😅
Guys, i have been playing for about a year practicing a crap ton and im able to play the majority of these riffs. Does this mean im good
Inception of the end orijinalden farklı mı olmuş
Battery is kinda easy, its just fast
Carcass pls
Isnt this the exact section from the easy to master riffs video?
Yes, that video was too long for some, so I divided it into sections so that everyone can more easily access the level they want to work on. I also released the master riffs as a separate video, and the intermediate and beginner levels will be released in the coming weeks.
@@ibrahimbirdal oh alright, great playing man \m/

🤘😈
🎸
Lotta gallop riffs
offspring is Advanced???
omggg
yes there is always Death ;-)
i will never understand how he change the tuning so fast hahahahahah as example the riff of as i am to the riff dante's inferno
Maybe in the daw he uses with some drop pedal or smth
Simple trick... Multiple guitars
Probably programmed to pitch shift at the appropriate times
I figure he records it all and then pitch shifts as needed in software later. That or he just records the video and audio separate, playing everything back to back for the video in one tuning but recording the correctly tuned versions to add in later.
He doesn't. The audio isn't live.
Symphony X - Run With The Devil 💀
Eh, I'd love to hear what makes a lot of these riffs advanced to you, because the riffs in this video are all over the place difficulty-wise...
I wouldn’t call powerchords advanced
Vc tem todo esse talento so pra tocar musicas dos outros?...
Vc estudou tanto pra toca perfeitamente as musicas dos outros q naum tem criatividade pra pelo menos compor 1 música própria?
I read Avenged riffs
Well done
Battery is NOT advanced. Great riff, but not very hard at all.
Most of these are intermediate at best, real advanced riffs are stabwound by necrophagist, vortex Omnivium by obscura, pantheum by first fragment and so on
Nice bands and songs you are referencing
Advanced not hard
Fast doesn't mean advanced
@@tylersinger7842 How does a "not advanced" guitar player is supposed to play a riff thats fast and complex in technique?
@@notmiscares3918 I'm not sure what your asking.

Huh no?
no
More intermediate than advanced lol
I'm sorry, but the songs you chose for this video are not my cup of tea.
Yeah its all thrash stuff. Not a fan
