      Nice! I didn't know you could loop and slow things down on the Spark amp. That's cool. Yea, I recently found out about this loop feature "RUclips clips" and decided to go for it, hoping that it will kick some ass for folks like you! Hope you keep coming back and lemme know if you need some more support to get these up to 100

      You are very welcome! I will say this video took me loads of hours to do! Plus setting up the "RUclips clips" as they are called was exactly what I call a good time lol but now that the video is taking off and I'm hearing from people like yourself that are getting some value from it, it absolutely gets me stoked! Looping PLUS the speed function makes this a pretty decent practice resource

    Great riff choice! I was like.. yeah I'm a intermediate player for sure. I will give this RHCP song a try.. sounds easy. Man, it was tougher than I thought! Lol!! Sliding the notes instead of hammering them down is what makes it special. It helps a lot to practice grooving

      Awesome!! I loved your comment. Yea it's a bit of a tricky riff - especially going from that top note, all the way down to the 1st fret of the low E string. That's a big jump. How would you use these riffs in different ways in different situations?

    • @why_the_etude_matters
      @why_the_etude_matters 8 дней назад

      @ knowing the intervals and rhythms I would transpose them and insert them into other riffs, licks, or even solos. I’m classically trained, and as such I can work that out and transcribe it in standard notation myself. But maybe your students would make good use of that information. Your approach is solid, and by the homage to the Police on the muting technique one of the greatest riffs of all time.. Peace, love, and music.. .

      I would have to package those up separately. What you could do though is just play with a metronome, or find drum loops at different tempos. On each one of the lesson segments, there is a 'technique checklist' which also lists the bpm of each drum loop. That will at least give you a starting point! You can also just keep coming back to this lesson and the loops and keep jamming with me
